The Adventurer System

Grim shook Yuki's body, concerned because he didn't know what was wrong with her. "Yuki! Yuki! Can you hear me?!"

Nonetheless, he received no response from the little girl. She was demonstrating that she was collapsing.

Asarki entered the room and checked on her. "What happened here, Grim?!" She inquired, noticing Grim was also taken aback by the occurrence.

When Chirla and Hippie entered the room, they noticed Yuki's mouth was filled with white bubbles.

"Please, adventurer Asarki. Heal her right away, she might perish!"

Grim took a step back after hearing these words until his back was against the wall. Then Asarki raised her magical staff, accompanied by enchanting words..

[Healing!]

Yuki's body was easily coated in a green light, which stopped her from shaking uncontrollably. Asarki's healing spell appeared to have worked.

After a few moments, Asarki stood up slowly and wiped her sweat on her temple. "Bring her to the bed, Grim. She just needs to rest, and don't worry, she'll be fine."

On the other hand, Grim seemed didn't hear Asarki. As he was dumbfounded at Yuki.

As a result, Asaki gently tapped his shoulder. "Grim, you look anxious. Carry her, please." She said politely, then exited the room.

As soon as someone touched him. His mind got back in its original state, nevertheless, he can't stop himself from thinking. As he saw an electric black aura electrocuted Yuki's body before she passed out.

"What exactly going on here? Someone stopping her to recall her memories?" Grim murmured, then gently laid Yuki on the soft bed.

15 minutes had passed, Grim went out of the room as she saw Yuki's condition was getting better. On top of that, he walked towards Chirla since he thought she had an idea what was it.

"Adventurer Grim, how's Yuki?" Chirla asked him in a low voice.

Grim barely nodded and said. "Yeah, she's fine. But do you have any idea why she suddenly has a seashore?"

Chirla darted her eyes in a different direction. "Y-Yes, Grim. But I think you should know about this. Is it not the first time this happened, Yuki having a seashore when you're at the Dungeon Castle. We're lucky that adventurer Harun was there to heal her."

Harun is a middle-aged man who looked Viking. At the same time, he is granted a high magical power.

"Why you never said it to me much earlier? What if it's happened again?!" For the first time, Grim yelled an NPC.

And all of a sudden, Yumiro gently patted Chirla's furry ears and made her blushed. "Still, I'm sorry. I promise it won't ever happen again."

Chirla planned to back away, as she felt a mild heat crawling up to her body. "Grim..." She said while looking at him with meaningful eyes.

"Chirla, can you tell what you noticed when the first time happened it to Yuki?" He asked her with a polite tone.

She nodded her head at him and said. "Yes, adventurer Grim." She paused for a second as she recalling that scene."Back then, in the early morning, I came to her room to give her breakfast. But when I arrive there Yuki was having a nightmare and she kept yelling..."

It caught Grim's attention. "What she yelled? Do you hear it?"

"Yeah, Yuki said kept saying the words DEMON."

At this point, Chirla knew who was the demon that Yuki mentioned. Since it was the ancient demon that existed in this world a long time ago.

Remembering the tragedy made her trembled, and inevitably hid her face under Grim's red robe.

"If you can't say it, Chirla. Don't say it." Grim said while kept patting her head. Even though he was wondered who was the Demon, he decided to won't ask for it.

"It's the Great Demon Lord, Grim." Chirla said with a shivered tone.

There's a rumor, the final floor at the legendary dungeon was the Demon lord. Who could control high-level monsters, at the same time, summoned them.

However, just a rumor for the NPC who was having a nightmare about the demon. As they knew once a certain NPC started to see its face, they'll become the sacrifice to claim the outstanding power that no one could ever expect.

"Grim, I think Yuki was just escaped from the Great Demon. And now she was chasing it. You should protect her because at any moment someone will take her." Chirla warned him.

Hippie, Grim, and Asarki were shocked at what they heard. As they didn't anticipate there was a demon that existed in this virtual game.

"Something isn't right in this game? Is it just a game or another dimension?" Asarki asked himself, but Hippie heard him so she chuckled.

"Hahaha! What are you saying, Asarki? You don't see we're using a console to enter this game. That means this is just a game that made the people like us." Hippie said.

Asarki sighed sharply exhaled, but at the same time, understood what Hippie plotting to her. "I got your point. But don't you ever think if that console is just allowing us to use another body from this dimension?"

Hippie laughed at her once again. "Asarki, you should sleep. It thinks your brain is affected by this game."

Both of them had a point, however, Hippie's words were more convincing for Grim. "Cut it out, this is not our problem right now. We should listen to what Chirla said to us."

Hippie and Asarki were stopped from sharply looking at each other. They then focused their eyes on the man in front of them.

"Hippie and Asarki, tomorrow can you stay at this place?" Grim said out of the blue.

The women blinking their eyes in confusion. "Why?" They asked him at once.

"I'll go somewhere, I need both of you to protect Yuki from any occurrence that might happen," Yumiro said with a weak tone.

"Eh? Why you don't bring me and leave Hippie here. Since she's stronger than me?" Asarki suggested while having a malicious smile on her face.

"No, no, no. I won't accept that. Me and Grim are a great duo. It's better if Asarki left here since she could make a wise plan." Hippie mocked her back.

Grim gritted his teeth. "If both of you don't want to try to listen, there's no reason to stay here." He turned around and face Chirla. "Come on, Chirla. Prepare your belongings once Yuki woke up we'll leave this place."

Chirla nodded her head at him without any hesitation. "Yes, adventurer Grim." She responded, then entered the room.

"Grim, what are you doing? What's the meaning of this? We're still participating in the guild selection, isn't it?" Hippie said with startled eyes.

"Wait for a second, Grim. Don't be ridiculous." Asarki said and seeing Grim serious facial expression.

"I'm done. I'm quitting the Guild Selection since the Blue leaf guild had an offer with me. So good luck." Yumiro said while in his grasp was the transparent crystal.

"How about us, Grim? You're leaving us like this?" Asarki said with a high tone bit.

"Yes, I don't want to tag along with you guys. You can't cooperate? It's much better if I'm alone."

At this point, Hippie and Asarki were terrified since if Grim wasn't there in the event. Both of them surely would never win against the adventurers.

Asarki took a deep breath and said. "Fine. Fine. Fine. What do you want us to do? Take care of her, okay. That's an easy job."

"Grim, I can do it by myself--"

Asarki covered her mouth. "You'll stop or you want me to cut your head. Before you shut up? You didn't see Grim wanted to be alone so let him in the meantime." She murmured.

Grim turned around and backed the teleportation crystal back to his inventory. "Protect her at any cost, or else I won't hesitate to hunt both of you and kill at once. Logout!" Yumiro said in a serious tone along with his furious red eyes.

His existence vanished in the virtual world. Then the two adventurers were started to have freely breathing.

"Jeez! Why is Grim acting like that? He looks like a different person." Hippie said, and couldn't help to lean her back on the couch.

"Grim is hard to understand and sometimes he's acting like a child. As he even cared for those people around him. So next time, we should watch our word since Grim could leave us without hesitation."
