The Adventurer System

Kaiyo was one of the adventurers who also desired to be the number one party to this event. In order to slow down Asarki's party, he used the wolf's ability to increase his speed and rogue skill to conceal his presence.

He succeeded by doing those two things until he saw three adventurers were running on the surface at their pace.

"The strong scent coming with that guy... I must take him down first before my concealment skill vanished." Kaiyo murmured, then used the tree as the surface to gather some strength to his legs.

Swoosh!

In an instant, Kaiyo was rapidly heading to Asarki's party and swung his claws.

Thud! Thud!

And when the moment his weapon was nearly touched within the masked guy's naps, it vanished from his vision and received two consecutive kicks directly to his face.

Blag!

His mouth and nose blood as those kicks were not ordinary. At the same time, his back was hardly whacked to the tree, thinking the masked guy was the first one who could do that to him.

"What's going on here? Why did this man suddenly see me? I'm sure I still have two minutes before my skill passed off." Kaiyo was confused and already heard the numerous footstep from 300 meters.

To be simple, Kaiyo's skill was just hiding the aura that emitted his body and lessening the sound that he could make. But he didn't anticipate the masked guy could detect the heat from the other body, and the main reason why he saw him.

He spits the blood out of his mouth, then recovered his footing to avoid the follow-up attack that might occur. It took a few seconds, he succeeded to stand up and eventually stumbled.

"What's going to this body? Why suddenly do I feel weak and my vision is being hazy?" He was certain about it as the masked guy who was wearing a blue robe was started to become double. "Roshy, come on over here quickly! There's a strong adventurer here."

Kaiyo used the system function to deliver his message, at the same time, readying himself since Grim was walking towards him.

"My job here is to slow down him. If I succeed with this man would face numerous adventurers." Even though he could not see the place clearly, he charged at him without making any second thought.

Swoosh!

He raised his right and wanted to stab with his claws. However, his opponent vanished again from his vision. Wolf was well known for having sharp eyes, so Kaiyo was confused why he could not see this man.

He immediately looked around. He saw the place was flooded by the trees and two women continued running. This means that the masked guy was still in this place.

"Where did he go?! F*ck!" Kaiyo was annoyed as he never thought that there was a low-level adventurer here that expert from hiding presence than him

Thud!

And all of a sudden, a solid punch landed on his left rib. "Arghh!" He was groaning in pain while swinging his claws in front of him. In his mind, with this kind of responding time, he will be able to hit his opponent.

Swish!

However, the same thing happened, he just cut the air as his opponent keep disappearing right in front of his eyes.

Splash!

Too much amount of blood unexpectedly spilled out his mouth. Several bones were fractured and Kaiyo still felt the masked guy's shape on his body.

"Who is this adventurer? Why they are letting high-level adventurers participate in this event." Kaiyo can't be helped to think about it as he was sure that was the punch of level forty adventurer.

"Show yourself! Fight me in hand-to-hand combat!" To have a chance to win in this fight, he must just see his opponent.

Yumiro was leaning on the thick tree, having a serious expression on his face. Why? Because he remembered what he actually said when he fought the kobold's leader.

At this point, he wanted to see if his close combat ability could dominate with the other adventurer. He slowly revealed himself behind the tree.

"What did you say? You want me to fight in close combat?" Grim asked him in a cold tone.

Kaiyo spits again the blood out of his mouth and has a malicious smile on his face. "You heard it right. If you are not scared fight me in a close combat!"

Grim was well informed that the man was just buying a time for the adventurers to arrive. So he smiled behind the red mask and said. "Hmm... Do you think you are worthy to be my opponent?"

"Of course, I'm the greatest close combat fight in this era!" Kaiyo confidently said.

"If you say so..." Grim planned to show how far their difference with the power and speed. Also, he knew he could defeat this man in less than 20 seconds.

Without wasting any amount of time, Kaiyo dashed inside lowering his body to add mode speed.

Swoosh!

Grim was nonchalantly walking towards him, seeing all at his opponent. 'If I don't have this zexel, probably he must be the fastest adventurer." He admitted.

In just a second, Kaiyo's was nearly coming at his face. However, Grim gently pushed it with his left hand and used his right hand to push Kaiyo's chest.

Thud!

After Kaiyo received the damage, looking at his opponent with desired eyes. He coughed as the power wasn't ordinary.

"Ehem! Ehem! You are indeed a high-level adventurer." Kaiyo said in a pain, then using the scorpion kick to Grim.

Grim eyes were widened after he saw someone was using the taekwondo technique in this virtual world. So he smiled again and was well savvy about how he would block this kind of attack.

He spotted Kaiyo's furry legs, so Grim pushed his body closer towards Kaiyo at the same time, lowering his body.

Swoosh!

Kaiyo's foot passed over Grim's head. "How can you dodge that kind of attack?!" He asked in confusion, could not believe that someone will anticipate his attack.

Yumiro had no intention to answer his question as he was already raised his left foot and used a half-crescent moon kick. 

Thud!

His sipad boots directly whacked on Kaiyo's and for some reason, he minimized the damage that he released. Or to be simple, he was just happy that he witnessed a taekwondo technique to this place.

Blag!

Kaiyo whacked to the ground along with hazy vision and still could the remarkable words that he would never forget after facing a strong opponent.

"Find me and fight me next time. I want you to show some of those techniques." Grim said in a deep tone and followed Asarki and Hippie to their way.

[Dash!]

Swoosh!

Kaiyo was still part of the game as he wasn't turned into red particles. "I'll surely find you next time, and I'm the one who will win."

After 6 minutes, the numerous adventurers spotted a man lying on the surface. Roshy know it was Kaiyo so she dashed towards him while the others keep chasing Asarki's party.

"Kaiyo! What happened to you?! I'm sorry we are late." Roshy apologize and turned her gaze at their Cleric. "Come on, heal Kaiyo immediately."

The cleric raised her staff and cast a spell that could help him to replenish all the damage he received.

[Healing!]

A green light coated Kaiyo's body and made him recover from damage. He pushed himself into a stood up position along with a smile on his face.

"Why are you smiling, Kaiyo? You didn't know that you are nearly eliminated from the match." Roshy worriedly said.

"No. Don't mind me, Roshy, I'm just happy with my opponent," Kaiyo said and eventually recovered his footing. He was facing a different side as it looked like he lose the courage to chase that man, knowing he could win against him no matter how many times he tried.

"Kaiyo, where are you going? We must chase Asarki's party so we will become the number one party." Roshy said in a clueless tone, wondering with this man thinking.

"I don't want to chase that man. We can never win against him, also, we already secured the number 5 spot there's no something we are still needed to pursue." Kaiyo said with an idea inside his mind. "Just wait in the meantime, we will be the number two in the ranking."

"What are you saying, Kaiyo? I could not understand." Roshy asked him.

"We are not going to fight, Roshy, let the others fight the masked guy. And I'm sure even our party is there we can't do anything to defeat that man, he's a monster..."

On the other side, Asarki was sensing the adventurers were attaining closer distance to them. 

"Grim this is bad, in no time our opponent can reach us." Asarki reminded him.

And all of a sudden, Yumiro gave all the stones to Asarki. "Hold this, I'll buy their time.. We have 20 minutes to survive so move!" He ordered them and went back to the place.
