The Adventurer System

Chapter 268 - Burn Out

It appeared even Asarki didn't receive the popularity that she had and even didn't sell the rare item she gained. It seemed, she already have a precious life that every people looking for. Two hundred fifty dollars was the exact amount of money that Hippie needed for her grandmother's operation.

Asarki discussed with her and gave her personal identity so she can send the money that Hippie needed. Yet, she gave one condition, Hippie must join in the last stage of Guild Selection.

The three adventurers gathered in the luxury room, in order to complete the last stage before the Guild Captains choose their new Guild members.

In Grim's grasp was the transparent crystal that they were using to reach the Adventure Stadium. First, he checked if she can continue this last fight.

"Hippie, even you're not participating in this match, Asarki would surely give that money you needed." He said, confident that somehow Asarki and Grim could win against a single party.

She slowly shook her head, looking at him as it seemed she admired him. "No, Grim, there's a person looking for my grandmother. Also, they know I'm busy finding money." She explained in a sorrowful tone, can't help to cry every time she remembered her grandmother's condition.

He deeply sighed as he could not do anything to lessen the heavy feeling inside Hippie's chest. "Next time if he has an expedition, do a live stream, and the money we will get there is all yours."

Grim explained that once the operation was successful, Hippie was still needed money for the medicine of her grandmother. At the same time, he knew the medicine was the most expensive item that existed in this world.

Chirla and Yuki waved their hands, giving their big support.

GOOD LUCK! I HOPE YOU WIN THE MATCH AND COME BACK HERE SAFELY.

They said at once while seeing the adventurers' bodies were coated by blue gleaming light. It was a sign that the teleportation crystal was working without any problem.

Swoosh!

In just a blink of an eye, Asarki, Hippie, and Grim reached the Adventure Stadium. To begin with, the entire place was enveloped by cheering adventurers, aside from that, the ten top Guild Captains were already positioned to watch the last fight for this month.

Moreover, the adventurers were attracted to one guy that wearing red masked. Seemingly they were looking for something about him since he showed a great performance last time.

"Hey, masked guy!"

And all of a sudden, a man had blue fur, claws, and fangs were called his alias and slowly approached him with his party members. It was Kaiyo that somehow familiarized with the taekwondo techniques.

Yet, his eyes were widened after seeing the blond hair woman next to her, she was wearing red crimson armor. Or to be exact, it was Roshy that he left after making a story about Uzui's party

For some reason, his blood pressure raised a bit but didn't intend to spit about it as Roshy would easily notice him.

"Do you know him, Kaiyo?" Roshy asked him with a weak tone, trying to figure out who was the man behind this mask. However, she can't tell it since this man's hair hid inside the hood and his face was covered by the mask.

"Yes! That masked guy was the one who defeated me in the last event. But I would never let him defeat me twice because I went to the mid-level dungeon to vastly increase my level so I have the chance to win with you." Kaiyo said while slowly walking in front of them, to be simple, the parties that remained in this round had a designated place.

At first, Grim would like to have a small conversation with this man, just to ask where he learned his taekwondo techniques. But the scene was changed after he saw Roshy walking next to him.

"Good luck, masked guy! I hope we can face each other in the last match."

Asarki noticed how Grim hardly clenched his left hand into a fist. It appeared that someone bothering him after seeing those adventurers.

"Grim, what's the problem? Did something happen to you with those adventures?" She asked him with a weak tone so no one could hear their conversation.

He gradually shook his head, then stepped back a bit as the number of adventurers walking in front of them was increasing. "Don't mind me, Asarki, also, I wanted to ask something about you after his match."

Her face was suddenly turned red, wondering what this man was trying to say about her? At the same time, asking herself why this man won't say it right now so he can get the answer while her, could focus on this match.

"We still have a time, Grim, why don't say it right now?" She said with a sweet voice, and for some reason, can't point her eyes at him for too long as she felt something that wasn't right.

"You didn't hear what I have said? Later after this match." Grim responded nonchalantly, narrowly looking at Gino that positioned in the high ground, where everyone could see him and hear him.

On the other hand, Asarki could not stop himself that Grim Draigh would do a confession to her. "W-What if does happen? How I'm going to respond?" She was mumbling, was not aware that Hippie was felt something about those two.

Hippie was walking at her suspiciously, then confronted her. "Asarki, you can tell me what was happened in your expedition?" She murmured so Grim could not hear them.

Asarki was blinking her eyes in surprise, thinking where was that kind of question came from. "E-Eh, nothing. Why?" She stammered, that gave Hippie another thought to think.

"Hmm... Well, you and Grim somehow look closer than the usual. Since I noticed, you can stand next to her and initiate a conversation." Hippie was kneading her chain and certain that something happened to them.

Asarki rapidly shook her head and hands in unison. "What are you thinking, Hippie? We are just having a casual expedition--!" She stopped after seeing they piqued Grim's attention as they took a glance at them.

Poke! Poke! Poke!

Hippie was poking her with her elbow. "Hmm... I think I know what are you guys doing, good job, Asarki!" She mocked him.

"Huh? What are you thinking, Hippie?! We didn't do anything!" Asarki raised her voice, enough to lure the adventurers' attention to them.

"What are you guys doing? And Asarki, you are being loud, I can't hear what the announcer trying to say to us." Grim said, then back his gaze at Gino.

Hippie has still had a malicious smile on her face, "I'm counting on you, Asarki."

Asarki has no intention, knowing this woman would surely stop once Gino spits the announcement about the setting of this championship round.

GOOD DAY, ADVENTURER!!! ALL OF YOU ARE EXCITED ABOUT THIS DAY EVENT?!

Gino easily hyped the audience as he was good for doing this. He was positioning his hand next to his ear, wanting the audience to say his screen name.

Wooh!

Gino, we want a new spicy event!

Entertain us more!

Those were the words you could hear throughout the stadium, moreover, Gino was letting them before they started the heated match would happen in this place.

WE ARE CURRENTLY HAVE TWELVE REMAINING PARTIES IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND. HONESTLY, WE ARE JUST EXPECTING THE PARTY WAS AROUND EIGHT OR NINE PARTIES. YET, IT IS WHAT IS SO LET ME TRY TO EXPLAIN THE NEW RULES FOR THIS DAY MATCH!

Gino said those words loudly and even the Guild Captains were slightly annoyed with this voice.

First thing first, the next game they would have called "Burn out" where the certain party member would fight one versus one. The Guild Captains were already the capability of each adventurer within their party member so the next thing they wanted to know was how they were capable to fight alone.

It had a simple rule, each party would pick a member that would fight in one versus one, the first adventurer who surrender or drain its health power would lose. On top of that, the winner would choose if he wanted to leave or stay in the match.

Best of five, the first party would have five wins would declare as a winner.

After Gino explained the rules. Asarki, Hippie, and Grim were looking at each other with a surprise expressions on their faces. They know, there was one here that needed to fight three adventurers in order to declare as the winner.

Eh?

What the heck?

Why they are looking at me?

Obviously, Grim Draigh was the one who was more suitable for fighting multiple adventurers. In their minds, Grim already wiped out a certain party alone which means it was easy for him if he fights three or more adventurers.

He sighed deeply, yet confident that his party members would never exhaust in this match as they were going to use the item they were received from the vampire prince.
