The Ancient Wizards of Hogwarts

Chapter 14 Same people but different fates

After walking out of Gringotts, Ash suggested:

"I suggest you go to Madam Malkin's robe store to buy clothes first, then go to Flourish and Blotts Bookstore nearby to buy the textbooks on the list. There is also a potion shop nearby where you can buy cauldrons and scales, and finally go to Ollivander's wand. Store-bought wands are the most time-saving route.”

"By the way, the price of a wand is 7 galleons, so I suggest you not to spend too many galleons in the bookstore."

"Thanks."

Mr. Granger counted out five gold galleons from the bag and handed them to Ash, saying sincerely:

"This is your reward. Thank you very much for your help."

"Thanks."

Ash smiled, took the money from Mr. Granger, and handed one of the galleons to George.

George was obviously surprised, but soon showed an expression of joy.

If he could earn a Galleons so easily, then maybe he should stay in Diagon Alley to receive those Muggle parents!

"Ash!"

There were shouts in the distance, and Percy and Fred ran towards them. Percy was holding a broom wrapped in brown paper.

"Nimbus 2000!" George's eyes were immediately attracted to the broom and couldn't move away at all.

Before leaving, Mr. Granger remembered the name and thought that he would buy one for his daughter later.

It can't be that other wizards have it, but Hermione can't, right?

Ash asked:

"Is the process going well?"

"Very smooth!"

Fred was beaming and said, "You don't know the way those people looked at us, 'Here's a Nimbus 2000, thank you.' Merlin's beard, Percy was so handsome when he said this!"

Percy handed the money bag and broom to Ash, his face a little red because of his excitement.

Ash took the broom, put the money bag back into his pocket, and took out two Galleons and handed them to the two of them respectively, which made Fred and Percy stunned for a moment.

Ash explained:

"This is the reward given by Mr. Granger, five coins in total."

"I have one too." George showed off his gold Galleons.

"Okay then." Percy hesitated for a moment, then took it.

Fred whispered: "Five Galleons, are Muggles so rich?"

As George's brother, he naturally thought that he could host those Muggle parents in Diagon Alley and earn their Galleons.

They wandered around Diagon Alley for a while. Ash bought everyone a small gift and a lot of snacks. In the end, everyone carried large and small bags and used Floo powder to return to Weiwei. The Sly family's 'burrow'.

On the other hand, the Granger family purchased the items on the list based on Ash's suggestion, and finally bought a wand priced at 7 galleons at Ollivander's Wand Shop - a grapevine wood body with a dragon core. Heart string, nine and three-quarter inches.

Mrs. Granger looked at the remaining galleons and said:

"I think we should buy Hermione a broom, what do you think? Honey."

"I think so too."

Mr. Granger nodded and took his wife and daughter into the Quidditch boutique on the roadside. The latest model of Nimbus 2000 was displayed in the shop window.

A witch received them:

"Sir, what would you like to buy?"

Mr. Granger did not directly say that he wanted to buy it, but asked cautiously:

"Nimbus 2000, well, how much does it cost?"

"599 Galleons." The witch said with a smile on her face:

"We just sold one, do you want to buy one too?"

Mr. Granger's expression froze. How much? 599 galleons? Is a broom so expensive?

How do those kids afford it? Or are all wizards so rich?

"Dad, I'm only in first grade, so I don't need to have a broomstick so early." Hermione said considerately.

"Oh, I guess so."

The witch showed a surprised expression and said:

"Sorry, Hogwarts does not allow first years to have personal broomsticks, and we will not sell them to new students."

Mr. Granger breathed a sigh of relief, but he still felt that something had happened. He looked at his wife awkwardly. They did not stay any longer and soon returned to the Leaky Cauldron at No. 1 Diagon Alley and left Diagon Alley from there.

4 Privet Drive, Little Whinging, Surrey.

Harry was sitting on the bed, reading the book in his hand under the light. "Hogwarts: A School History" was written on the cover.

Well, although this book records the history of Hogwarts and contains many magnificent events, Harley doesn't really want to read it. Because it was so boring, Harley felt that it was obviously a wonderful story, but it was written as boring as a math textbook. Harley almost fell asleep several times.

But in order to read the chapters related to 'Hero Black', Harley could only pat her face from time to time to cheer herself up.

Dong dong dong~!

A knock on the door interrupted Harley's reading.

"Harry, can I come in?" a hesitant female voice asked.

"Of course, Aunt Petunia, the door is unlocked," Harry replied.

Click!

The door to the room opened, and a thin blond woman walked into the bedroom.

She is Harry's aunt, Petunia Dursley. She has a pair of very light eyes.

"Harley."

Penny looked at her and asked sternly:

"Have you really decided to go to Huo... to that school?"

Harley was silent for a moment and said softly:

"Yes, Aunt Petunia, I want to go."

She knew that her uncle's family hated magic and wizards. They were extremely resistant to her contact with anything in the wizarding world and only wanted her to live a normal life. Before the letter from Hogwarts, they had even found a famous aristocratic school for her.

But Harley still wanted to go, it was the school her parents attended.

Penny's expression looked a little bitter, and she laughed at herself:

"I know, I know I can't stop you, just like I can't stop Lily."

Harry's heart trembled slightly. Aunt Petunia rarely mentioned her mother in front of her.

"I'm jealous of her."

Petunia suddenly said: "I've always been jealous of her, jealous of her talent, jealous of her good luck, jealous that she can go to Hogwarts!"

Harley pursed her lips. She didn't know why her aunt suddenly said these things. She was a little scared.

Penny continued:

"She has been like this since she was a child. Her parents are proud of her and everyone likes her, but no one has ever cared about me."

"When Lily got married, I didn't even go to her wedding because I was jealous of her!"

"I knew she must be crying very sadly, but as if this would make me happy, I deliberately didn't go. I thought I was taking revenge on her."

Penny said, a look of pain suddenly appeared in her eyes:

"But when I learned about her death, I suddenly realized that no matter what, she would always be my only sister!"

PS: Lily’s daughter and James’ son are two different things.
