The Blind Date is So Gentle

  The Bird of Paradise manifested on his shoulder.

       Its fluffy tail twitched in time with He Qing’s movements.

       He Qing’s movements were particularly fast. He rushed up to beat a star pirate steadily and ruthlessly.

       I was about to make my move when the other star pirate raised their photon guns and aimed at He Qing.

       Suddenly, I felt an energy fluctuation in the air, a thin golden streak invisible to ordinary people, that instantly spread across the small area we were in.

       Strangely enough, this kind of energy fluctuation was not unfamiliar to me.

       It was as if a pause button had been pressed on these star pirates, and they were all frozen in place.

       He Qing walked back to me step by step. The arrowhead feather of his Bird of Paradise shook as the golden lines intensified the closer He Qing got.

       This was what you called as Guide.

       The people from the military department arrived soon after.

       They handcuffed the star pirates and took them back for questioning.

       He Qing and I were left, ready to take another taxi and continue to the registration office.

       He Qing suddenly fell towards me, and I scrambled to catch him.

       He Qing was clutching my clothes and his face was pale.

       “He Qing, what’s wrong with you?” I looked at him anxiously, and He Qing frowned.

       Suddenly he opened his mouth and spat out a mouthful of blood.

       I was so scared that I forgot to cry, “He Qing? He Qing!”

       He Qing grabbed my clothes tightly, “Don’t move, it will be fine in a minute.”

       I really didn’t dare to move, I could only move my mouth, “I’ll take you to the hospital.”

       “No, let’s register first.”

       I hugged him, “I’m worried about you. What’s wrong with you, are you hurt?”

       “Let’s go to the register first and I’ll tell you when we get home.”

       I nodded quickly, and He Qing raised his hand to wipe the blood from his lips.

       I couldn’t persuade He Qing, so I had to take him home.

       I was worried along the way, and I was afraid that something would happen to He Qing.

       When we got home, I helped He Qing get off the aircraft.

       He Qing pulled me back and whispered, “Can you carry me in?”

       What kind of dog shit luck1 had I had to marry such a good guide as He Qing.

       I quickly picked He Qing up in my arms.

       As I walked inside, I felt like there was an illusion of entering a bridal chamber

       He Qing gently grabbed the military uniform on my chest.

       I carried He Qing all the way to the bedroom and put him on the bed, and I wanted to check him with a detector.

       He Qing took my hand, “Lie with me for a while.”

       We were now legal Sentinels and Guides.

       I took off my shoes and coat and went to bed. He Qing retracted into my arms, and before I could react, I was already hugging him.

       Strangely enough, I was very skilled in holding him.

       He Qing leaned on my shoulder obediently.

       The little snake crawled out of my sleeve and crawled towards the Bird of Paradise.
