Maya huffs in defeat as this coldness is testing her patience and trust each second.

'He almost stabbed me just because that shadow asked! What if that shadow asked him to do this too?! He tried to burn me too! I could have burnt if not for my Power Element!'

After she decided to not believe him, everything went very well even though she suffered a lot. She never once felt betrayed. She didn't feel this broken even when her self esteem was questioned repeatedly.

Maybe this feels too painful just because this is strangely a new problem. She trusted him for a mere moment that he will not hurt her anymore after proving her worth.

'But did he just decide to throw me in prison just because I asked the Countryside Pavilion's ownership? Did he use me this time too?! Using my wish he obtained The Pavilion and he got rid of me easily! I did agree to imprison myself without realizing it was a trap! How could he forget that I fought his war!'

'Am I that stupid?! What should I do?! This throne is hard to handle. The place is filled with invisible traps...Even standing still in their position will get one destroyed!'

She felt frozen and her eyes were gloomy. Maybe she wanted to rant or the coldness is testing her on behalf of someone? She is struggling hard to remain conscious too.

'Why did I believe him again?! What in the-'

She freezes suddenly feeling something wiggling near her foot.

'Snake?!'

'Holy heavens!'

AAAHHHHHH!

She screams loudly and jumps back in fright. Her back throbs as she was leaning over the metal gate before but she only focuses on darting away from whatever it is in the darkness. She doesn't want to even disturb 'it' if it would just leave her alone.

Her whole body trembled seeing something moving in the floor. Her mind instantly recalls her dreadful encounter on that day where she was poisoned by The Earth's poisonous snake in her chamber!

She begs in her mind that she might be wrong and there would be nothing but an illusion.

Her heart stips beating as soon as she can see the snake clearly even in that darkness.

AAAAAAAHHHHHHH! GO AWAY!

Even the soldiers might have startled hearing her screaming her life out.

A tiny anxious voice came from the darkness in front of her.

"You! Stop scaring me!"

Maya shakes the metal gate with her all strength hearing the voice as if that came from outside "Who?! Who is it?! Help! Somebody help me! There is a s-snake here!"

The voice came out annoyed after hearing her "Can't you shut your mouth, Woman?! Do you know how hard it was to sneak into this place?! You are announcing my presence in vain!!"

Maya's frightened mind freezes hearing the sound from behind and turns reluctantly as she doesn't want to look behind her but she has no choice!

Seeing the snake staying still, she gasps for her breaths hard "Talking. ..who is talking?"

She tries to look around for someone to appear from the dark chamber but her mind is trying to tell her something stupid! Her mind doesn't make sense for her for some reason. It can't be what she thinks!

Only a small voice came irked "Excuse me, Woman? Do look like a wasp to you? Talk to me!"

Maya opens her eyes wide in shock and runs towards the metal door for her dear life.

Wars can wait but she has to be alive first to fight that!

Unfortunately, she forgets about the metal gate and passes out knocking her forehead on the gate in the process.

She can not able to handle her panic. 

Everyone has a weakness. Maya's is an extremely frightening one.

"Tch! This woman! How could she even faint just by seeing me?!"

"Am I that scary?! If she is really scared that I might harm her, shouldn't she have run away from here using her huge brain?!"

"How could she possibly faint?! Would that be easy for me to attack her?! Honestly... this woman! Now I want to hide safely before someone sees me and crushes me under their feet!!"

"These soldiers are heartless! How can they even think of stepping on my beautifully-flawless-slender-yet-gorgeous body?!"

Heavy and urgent footsteps of several people running can be heard.

The voice huffs annoyed "Well! Seems I should just curl myself under the bench!"

TAK! TAK!

A faint sound of someone's footsteps can be heard. Certain someone might have sent the soldiers in before checking her condition. 

The soldiers arrive at the prison chamber and stop as they saw Maya fainted inside the prison. They start gasping and whispering in panic as if they are about to die in some time!

The sound of the lock being opening heard loudly as if they were opening in a great hurry. They step aside as soon as they felt a strong presence behind them.

They bow respectfully "Your Highness!"

They felt like standing on an ice lake which might engulf them anytime. A soldier walks in hurry towards the metal gate. He wouldn't even dare to utter a single word or delay opening the gate further.

By seeing certain someone's cold face, he felt that someone might kick the huge metal door open himself and take the lady away!

When the gate of the Cold Prison was opened, Maya falls forward as she was leaning over the gate. But instead of falling on the Cold ground on her face, she falls in someone's warm embrace.

The soldiers "..." Huh? When did he even move? 

The soldier who opened the gate ".." I-I didn't see His Highness move! Did anyone see him even t-taking his foot aside?

Kalki who just caught Maya in his embrace involuntarily ".."

He notices her bruised forehead and lifts her effortlessly.

And that's how The Crown Prince arrived to take his 'wife' back from The Cold Prison of The Royal Palace! 

Xavier watches Kalki desolately as he walks out from the Cold Prison with Maya in his arms.
