The Curse Of The Evil Queen

"What the heck happened!" Shouting furiously, I look at them with rage in my eyes.

They only have one thing to do and it's to protect Celestina throughout the party. All of them knew that there were enemies that wanted to defeat us. And we don't know have any clues about who is it yet. But they already had a guess about it. The heir of Mercaquez clan. 

With their heads bow down, they silently look with one's eyes, making me more irritated. How come they are everywhere and yet Celestina is harmed right in my eyes. 

"Mr. L …" A man tried to speak, but when he saw the glare, I'm giving to him, he became speechless.

"I want an update about it tomorrow, or else I'll make you all deport you back in Biringan. Do it or else…" I said sternly, not minding the scared emotions they're reflecting within their eyes.

Looking at Jacob, I nodded, signaling him to guide everyone in my office, out. With me being left inside, I leaned on my office chair and closed my eyes, remembering the scene that almost took away my breath earlier.

When I saw her, standing up on the seat acting strange. I had to stop what I'm doing, leaving Adeline in the middle. I quickly took a run, not minding the people around, staring at me. 

Fortunately, I caught her before she could finally fall on the floor. Seeing her face, tomato red. With her body, feeling cold. I carried her bridal style, not minding the people starting to get curious about what is happening right now.

I quickly called Jacob after I placed her on my bed, asking about, where was the fucking doctor already. Fuck! How did this thing happen right before my eyes? I ordered my men to protect her, but all of them seems to be incompetent.

The doctor told me about the drugs that is in Celestina's body. Thank god that there was a medicine already made since a case like this happened already as what he said. The heavy feeling lumping on my lungs was now gone.

Quickly, I opened my eyes as my thoughts were interrupted by the sudden opening of the door. I was about to shout at that person when I saw my mom walking towards me quietly. 

"How is she?" She took a sit on the chair in front of my table.

"Fine now" I answered, looking at her, without any emotions showing on my face.

"I didn't know that an incident like this will happen, son," She said, regrets and worriedness were showing on her face.

"I know, mom" I nodded, knowing that she can't possibly look at events that will happen in the future as it is out of her league.

"How did they know?" She sighed, thinking the same thing.

We planned the whole thing on the first hand to protect Celestina. Adeline knows it too, as she accepted the offer, we gave her. We've known each other since childhood together with Mary who was now happily married in her own kingdom. We basically grow up together.

She's in love with a man she can't love. It's way out of their league and her parents will not accept it. It's a win-win situation for us. 

"Don't you think it's an inside job?" My mom caught my attention with her words.

That's my idea from the start, but the culprit seems to know what he's doing. A letter was sent to my office a few weeks ago, with words threatening Celestina. And with that, I silently investigate without anyone knowing.

"I'm investigating on it, don't worry" I assured her with certainty.

"Don't hesitate to tell me if you encounter any problems, okay?" She said before finally leaving the room.

I stood up from my seat and left the room, going into Celestina's room, seeing her resting body on the bed. Sitting beside her, looking at her directions.

With her eyes being closed, I can look at her face directly. Her long thick lashes were curly. Her soft curved eyebrows are cleaned, her pointed nose is slightly reddish. And her soft, delicate lips that are tempting to look at.

I removed a few strands of hair that are covering her face, placing them on the side so I can look at her without any distraction. Her brows furrowed, earning a slight smile from me.

My throat went dry when her lips parted. Feeling a big lump on my chest as my eyes couldn't find a way to avert it. A taste will not hurt, right? I smirked, slowly leaning towards her.

I closed my eyes as I felt our lips touch. Opening it a few seconds later when I suddenly realized what I'm doing. What the heck, what am I a teenage horny boy? I'm not regretting it though, as I finally had a taste of those sweet lips of her. I smirk seeing her still sleeping quietly. So, this is not a bad thing at all.

"Celes-" A sudden voice echoed in the room, causing me to get startled.

I glared at the person, seeing one of her maids with wide eyes while looking at me. My smirk was now nowhere to be seen. I stood up from sitting and took a step out. Not minding her as she called my name twice.

A day had passed and I was in Celestina's room again, visiting her. The two maids were outside the room. They left when I entered earlier. She's still sleeping peacefully, and I wondered, when is she going to wake up?

I talked to Jacob earlier and he said that it will take days before she can finally be awake as her body was still under the influence of the poison. The poison came from a plant that was rarely seen here, and only a few people know where that plant is exactly located at. 

I roamed my eyes to find anything suspicious, but I couldn't point out anything. Everything looks normal, as it should be. The sleeping drug was placed in the drink, that means all the servants or rather all people attending on that night were guilty.

Adeline couldn't possibly do it since I know her since childhood, or did she? It couldn't be Guineverre ir Luna as the three of them were close with each other, so who is it?

"Your highness, Jacob is in your office looking for you" With those words, I look at the person talking right now.

Vivian is her name, I guess, from what I can recall while Mariniette is the name of the other girl. Nodding at her words, I walked out, bumping with the other girl, who seems to be out of her mind.

When she realized what she has done, she quickly apologized, begging on her knees, but I couldn't pay attention to her as all I can think was Jacob who has something to say.

I guess he already has the information I asked for. With the quick steps I took, I arrived at my office faster than expected. Seeing Jacob getting startled by the sudden opening of the door.

"Your highness," He greeted bowing his head after he saw me.

I sat on the chair and look outside, seeing the bright sun overlooking the window.

"What do you want to say?" I asked without looking at him, but rather looking at the wide-field sitting outside. 

"About the drugs…" He took a deep breath, continuing his words "we found this empty glass bottle with an attached letter outside of it."

A man in a Short-sleeved collared polo and jeans wearing a white coat on top. That looks like a doctor's clothes. Two women behind him entered the room also.

They bowed at us when they got closer to us. Taking a deep breath, I was suddenly nervous about Celestina's state.

All my efforts would be put to waste if our plan will fail. I can already remember… all the things that I have forgotten in the past. It was already been two weeks, I guess. Imagine my reaction when a week ago, Jacob had told me that Celestina was going to

"Your Majesty, the doctor from that you requested from the kingdom is here" The two girls announced at us. They bowed again after saying those words, then they Immediately leave.

"Prince, let me tell you the condition of your beloved guest. She has been in a good condition already. She just needs rest to be able to regain the strength that she lost in her body"

I was listening attentively to what the doctor is saying. He said that Celestina was fine already. I smirked, this means that I can now be at peace. 

"You can leave" I nodded instructing him to leave the room already.

"But your highness... I found out something." In a joyful voiceful the made me deeply curious. 

"What is it?" I asked, puzzled as he said my congratulations to me. 

Moving closer, he bowed his head and smiled. 

"Miss Celestina is pregnant, your highness."
