The Demon Lord's Successor

The previous Demon Lord is dead and his big-chested minion—and possibly his daughter— is kneeling before you. Wait! If she’s his daughter, and he said I’m his son, then... Your brain short-circuits when you realize the possibility that you have a big-chested sister who is kneeling before you.

However, that is all the information you have. So, before you make any rash decisions you need to know what the actual situation is. You pause and try to figure out the best way to get answers out of the monster girl without making a fool out of yourself on your first day as a Demon Lord.

“On our way here you said things are much worse than I realized,” you speak to the minotaur girl slowly, in the deepest voice you can muster. “My... father is dead, and what little I have seen of this place fails to impress. What more are you not telling me? Speak!”

“Ah! Yes, My Lord!” She answers bowing her head. “I am sorry to inform you, but m-your father was gravely wounded in the Great War over fifteen years ago. Using Dark magic my sisters were able to save his life, but he was bound to these halls ever since!

The neighboring kingdoms did not waste the opportunity and attacked our kingdom with combined forces, like vultures. It was the fastest fall of a Demon Lord’s kingdom in recorded history! Our enemies did not kill your father, because they thought it was funny to let him live out his days in agony as a weak, paralyzed, rotting, undying corpse.

Our entire kingdom is now reduced to a couple of ruined halls, seven Goblins farming the rocky soil, and one of my sisters, who works in a brothel to earn money for basic supplies. Now villagers laugh when they hear the name Graf Wilhelm von Helmman.

Only two years ago your father’s condition improved well enough to regain the ability to use summoning magic and transfer it to me. The results were... varying. But we were finally successful! And with your potential awoken, we will rebuild our kingdom and conquer this world once and for all!”

The minotaur girl stands up, her eyes shining brightly at the thought of world domination.

“To start with, My Lord, could I ask you to summon a couple dozen minions?” she asks you. “I realize it is laughable easy, but for now we must not draw too much attention to ourselves. And it would help me greatly with protection of what little lands we have left so that I can focus on other tasks.”

Obviously she has great expectations of you, most likely based on your supposed father’s abilities. To figure out what your options even are you gather all the Isekai knowledge at your disposal and manage to successfully open a game-like Status tab.
