The fashion show ended less than an hour and because of that, Nian Jiezhen was able to go to work as soon as it ended.

Ren Shiyuan approached Xia Meilin in a woman's attire to escape the reporters that were waiting for the famous people outside.

"Where's Nian Jiezhen?" He asked as he started looking around for her.

"She went to work." Xia Meilin crossed her arms. The reason why Xia Meilin didn't allow Nian Jiezhen to drop her home because she still was planning something for the two lovebirds.

Ren Shiyuan sighed inwardly. In the end, he wasn't able to make her stay. Was she that mad to him?

"I have somewhere I need to be, can you accompany me?"

"Well... I have to attend a celebratory party but I can't leave a pregnant woman walking alone, so I guess the party can wait." He smiled and offered his arm for her to hold.

She didn't hesitate to hold his arm.

Ren Shiyuan went to the parking lot with her and opened his car's door for her. She entered and sat on the shotgun seat before she put on the seatbelt on.

Ren Shiyuan was about to enter his car when he was suddenly stopped by his manager.

"Shi'er!"

Ren Shiyuan turned to his manager and raised an eyebrow. "What is it? Do you need anything?"

"You forgot this." He handed a paper bag to him.

"Ah, thanks." He smiled at him. "I will be skipping the party later, if someone asked for me, tell them that I got a cold. Also, don't accept any shows for me until next month."

"Until next month?" Tang Bin, his manager asked in surprise. "But how about the offer that director Wang gave? He wants you to be the male lead in the movie 'Evil Emperor's Wild Consort'."

Ren Shiyuan shrugged. He was an A-list actor so it wasn't a problem for him if he wanted to decline the offer. "I will be staying here until next month. If they ask why; tell them that I decided to take a short break."

"Uh..." Tang Bin wanted to say more but Ren Shiyuan already entered the car and started the engine. Tang Bin could only watch him leave.

"Why do you want to stay longer here?" Xia Meilin asked. She was quietly listening to his conversation with his manager earlier so she couldn't help but be curious about it.

"I want a short break." Ren Shiyuan simply said while he was looking ahead as he drives.

Xia Meilin smirked inwardly. She was pretty sure that it was because of Nian Jiezhen. "Do you like Nian Jiezhen?"

"Have you forgotten that you're the one I like?"

"Ah, I remember Nian Jiezhen saying that she's going to start dating the Italian man that has been courting her for a while. He's her partner in work." Her nose twitched when she lied about it but Ren Shiyuan wasn't able to notice it because he was looking ahead.

In an instant, Ren Shiyuan parked his car on the side of the road before he turned to Xia Meilin with a cold look on his face. "What did you say?"

"You really angered her a lot. You betrayed her feelings you know. She has started to accept that she was a lesbian because of you but in the end, you turned out to be a guy and for her part, it made you look like you were playing around with her feelings."

"You know that I don't tell my real gender to others, I let others find out about it."

She chuckled a bit. "Yeah, Bingbing and I found out about your real gender when we caught you in the swimming club."

He shrugged. "About Nian Jiezhen, is it true that she's planning to date someone else?"

"Do you like her?" She asked instead; a mischievous glint flashed in her eyes. "I can help you with her you know."

Does he like her? He was attracted to her but to the point of having feelings for her just like how he feels for Xia Meilin... he wasn't sure of that.

Xia Meilin's phone started ringing. When she looked at the caller ID, her eyes beamed in delight. She quickly answered the call. "Hi, darling!"

Ren Shiyuan turned away when he learned that it was Lucky Yifeng who was calling her. Of course, he was still affected with it but... for some reason, his mind started flying with the words that Xia Meilin told him: Nian Jiezhen was planning to date another man.

"How are things there so far?" Xia Meilin asked.

"I'm about to take care of a fly." Like Yifeng's deep voice was heard.

"A fly?"

"Mm. What do you want me to do with Feng Ning?"

Xia Meilin's brows furrowed when she heard the name. "Huh?"

"How should I kill him?"
