The Emperor’s Angel of Death

Vol 2 Chapter 1838: Catachan Demon Squad

Chapter 1838 Catachan Devil Squad

Chaos Space Marine Chari poked his head out of a firing slot in Middlehive's parapet, his bolter in hand.

No creatures move in his field of vision, which is fine.

The expanse ahead of where his fortress stood became a scorched and exploded landscape, pitted and blazed away, and a noxious yellow mist and thick black smoke hung over the cursed ground.

The soldiers guarding the wall hid in the bomb holes and bunkers before the shelling began. They were not the unofficial armed forces in the nest, but the guards and soldiers from the pirate lords. They were disciplined but at least knew how to fight. .

The protective wall of the middle hive is made entirely of alloy. Its original function is to separate the safe part of the hive city from the chaotic part. It is more like a class barrier, especially in the organizational structure of the cruel red pirates. Among them, there are only own people, collaborators and slaves.

Now, though, it serves as a strong fortification against those wretches who worship the rotting corpse of the throne.

Each section of the parapet will have a small fortress, which has powerful fixed firepower and a small void shield, which can become an effective fulcrum of firepower. Unless the imperials pile corpses on the wall, Chari can't think of anything they can do.

When the onslaught begins, these lands will leave behind the unburial remains of the dead, spreading offerings to Nurgle with rot and plague.

Although Chari is not a Nurgle believer.

He's even just a recruit, he's only been a member of the Red Pirates for more than thirty years, and he doesn't know where his gene-seed came from, but now he's working for the Black Heart King.

In the past, he was just a gangster who fought in the streets and would do anything for a little scrap. It was the red pirates who gave him the power of a god.

The empire would never give such a chance to someone like him.

Smiling, Chari clenched his fists in satisfaction, stepped back from the firing gap, and slung the bolter back on his lap.

His crimson armor is still clean, except for those deliberately decorated skulls and spikes, his appearance is not even much different from the space warriors on the side of the empire.

Charlie knows that he is still too young to be blessed by the gods, but one day he will be favored by the dark forces and become a strong man who can dominate the lives of others, instead of fighting with those weak pirates and Mutants mixed together, even if he could dictate their life and death, it was meaningless.

He also has his own ambitions, and wants to have his own warband, and even become a warlord one day.

Under the awe-inspiring eyes of his mortal servants, he made his way back to the room on the first floor of the fort, clean and made of rock and concrete, which was also the commanding position of the fort, a rough staircase leading to the upper battlements where snipers and Fixed cannons from which to fire at approaching enemies.

Charlie sat down on his command chair, wiped off the dust on the armor with the human skin beside him, took off his helmet and wiped it carefully, panting with satisfaction, then picked up a bottle of wine and began to drink.

This siege of the Imperials will eventually give up in the face of huge casualties, Charlie believes this, he feels that no one is not afraid of death, and so are the Imperials.

Yes, they should be more afraid of death.

But soon, his triumphant mood was spoiled when someone detonated explosives in the fort.

"What!"

As Chari hurried out of the command center, he saw a grenade flying out of nowhere, its jingle bouncing along the floor barely audible in the explosion.

Then, the explosion tore apart several panicked minions.

"Don't mess! Don't mess!"

Just as he was trying to stop these mortals, a grenade suddenly exploded near him.

A normal person would die or be seriously injured from being in the blast radius, but the blast just licked the hard surface of Chari's freshly polished power armor, searing the trim and setting his human skin ablaze. Cloak, but he felt no pain.

He blinked slowly as the remains of the soldier littered the ground.

The explosion distracted the other gunners, so they were still looking in the wrong direction when flames began pouring in from the fort's firing gaps, the white-hot stream of promethium resulting in an agonizing death.

Chari hasn't seen where the enemy is until now. Just as he drew out his bolter and was about to shoot a few unlucky ones to stabilize morale, a thick arm suddenly stretched out from behind him and choked him by the neck.

"Well!"

Instinctively, he struggled and wanted to throw the opponent over his shoulder, but the arm that strangled him was so strong that it directly pinched his neck, which lacked armor protection, and almost suffocated him.

Chari realized he was being attacked by Space Marines.

After a few breaths, Chari stabilized his foot, and stretched his arms back, trying to grab the opponent's head.

"Well, this Chaos Pig is quite strong."

Accompanied by a mocking sound, his arms were held down from the left and right sides, and then a sharp fighting knife was stabbed into his jaw.

At that moment, Charlie felt severe pain, and he shook his shoulder vigorously based on his survival instinct.

But it didn't work.

Knife after knife, Chari's armor was stained bright red with blood, and he gradually lost his strength and consciousness.

When the opponent let go of him, he fell forward feebly.

Ambition, power, and the future were all far away from him at this moment, and then he felt someone take off his helmet, grab his hair and lift his face up.

Then he saw the man who killed him, a grim face, with a small crew cut and a red band around his head, no power armor—

"How can it be"

His lips squirmed and spit out a few vague words, and then felt the cold blade approaching his throat.

Seeing the mysterious warrior named Marbo chop off the head of the Chaos Space Marine and hang it on his waist, Johnson was quite envious. This is enough to brag about a year's worth of spoils.

Then Marbo cut off the opponent's thumb and threw it to Johnson, because he was the one who helped hold the Chaos Space Marine's hands just now~www.readwn.com~ What the hell! Don't stand still! "

Hearing Sergeant Huck's roar, Johnson put his thumb away, and the flamethrower in his hand sprayed towards a group of enemy troops hiding behind the bunker with rifles.

The fiery stream of promethium set them on fire as Huck put away his pistol and turned to a Catachan demon.

"Pepper Snake, throw me my baby!"

The Catachan veteran whose real name was Fernandez heard Huck call out his nickname, and decisively threw a heavy bomber in his hand to Huck, while he picked up the grenade launcher hanging on his waist and began to target those firepower points. Roll call one by one.

"Kill the fuck!"

Huck roared, spread his legs apart, and started shooting with heavy bombs in his hand.

Marbo, on the other hand, hung two logging guns on his shoulders with belts, and then fired left and right, and the two guns fired at the heretics who were running around with their heads at the same time.

In the blink of an eye, a squad of Catachan demons forced out a company's firepower, and the heretics in the fortress were stunned. Although there were thousands of people, they all huddled in the bunker and screamed or shivered.
