During my stay in Bureti, I didn’t do anything remotely fun. It was supposed to be a place I just wanted to pass by, but relatives whom I didn’t even know existed wanted to meet me and made sure that I remembered them in the future.

At first glance, I even had the thought of wanting to live in Bureti for the coming time, but when I heard the news that Caitel had been readying to invade the North, I decided to return back.

There was one last thing that I had to give him before leaving. I took it off my neck and placed it in my grandfather’s warm hand.

“Please don’t do that.”

I couldn’t hold onto it after knowing that it was the relic of a country, but my grandfather refused it take it back.

“This was the last gift I gave to my sweet daughter before she left for this country. If this were mine, I would also give this to my kid, along with my blessing.”

When he put it like that, I couldn’t say no. I was forced to accept my mom’s necklace once again.

Grandfather, who passed it to my hand, smiled brightly.

“Maybe one day, some time, the blessing in this gem will bring a miracle for you.”

“A miracle?”

“Yes.”

I didn’t know what to say.

Well, actually, the only reason I wanted to keep it with me was that it was the only memento that I got from my mother.
