Duncan didn't hear the warning from the system, and he bashed another three frost bone soldiers to death.

Duncan had sweat pouring down his face after grinding the Magma Fist Skeleton to dust with his bony foot. He had been in many battle fields, and today was definitely not the time for him to be blanking out.

However, he kept seeing his lieutenant's picture perfect face as she stabbed him in the heart, and it really hurt, but for his planet he ended up killed to try and save them from extinction....

"System... what did you say? I couldn't hear you!"

[Ding! Host must dodge to the right immediately to avoid incoming attack from commander... Danger! Danger!]

"Wha... incoming attack?" Duncan dodged to the left as a large bludgeon smashed his ally into pieces.

A large skeleton with a black forehead, and one sort of eye ball hanging out of one socket swung at him again as he tried to flee backwards for his little life...

Boom!

The bludgeon was large, powerful, and nearly bashed him to pieces... He, at this moment, swore the system said something else as well, but all he could do was dodge attack after attack. He had been in many battles, and his instincts kept him mostly intact.

However, after summoning another flesh worm, he quickly ran as it jumped at the giant commander.

"Wormy! Thank you for saving me again!" Duncan didn't dare delay as his wormy had only ten health... He couldn't bare to look at his user interface to see how it did, so he just finally asked the system what it was talking about earlier...

"System.... is it me or did you say something about the phoenix bone soldier...?" He swore it said the phoenix bone soldier needed help, but it was actually quite fast.

It dodged all the enemies blows left and right like a game of snake that he played as a kid. If he didn't know any better, it couldn't be about that right? However, how the hell was he supposed to save it...

[Ding! Host was reminded earlier that he has necessary evolutionary material to upgrade to magma fist soldier... However, window is down to last 10 seconds...]

"..."

"Wait, first tell me the benefits of the magma fist soldier..." When he was a soldier training for this operation, the information pertaining to the netherworlds was scarce in his training classes. So, all he could judge them on was their power levels, which seemed only a smidgen better then the frost bone soldiers. However, he already had this body, so why should he adjust for a small change?

"Yes!" He felt a tinge of regret in his belly as he began to change.

'Really, I didn't feel anything?' Duncan thought as he jumped away from the cudgel. After looking down and confirming his feet were burning, he smiled as he looked across the battle field...

Wait, did this mean that those allies all around him now saw him as an enemy?

Immediately, all the frost bone soldiers around him, who he was just killing a second ago, turned towards him and began flailing at his little body.

The commander, though, for some reason walked away and began trying to laugh as it walked off towards the hills....
