The Fallen Consort

When the Lion beast charged towards her, she was amazed on how fast the beast was! At the last minute, she was able to dodge but the Lion beast was still able to scratch her arm. It wasn't big but it was bleeding. The smell of blood made the Lion beast ecstatic.

The Lion beast was extremely fast, good thing that Yi Ling was trained by the bear. Her agility was not up to par compared to the Lion beast but it was enough for her to dodge its attacks. She knew by heart that she wouldn't be able to last long by dodging. It lasted for quite a while and she was getting exhausted.

The bear saw everything, he was behind her after all. Ready to take action, if she can't handle it. What is she doing, he thought. Why isn't she attacking at all? She's going to be the Lion beast's lunch anytime soon!

Yi Ling was observing the Lion beast while it kept attacking her. She finally found a weakness, it was his belly. It tried to hide it from her and kept blocking his belly everytime she got closer. Luckily, Yi Ling has some sharp eyes. As soon as it tried to bite her, she dodged and went on offense!

With the used of her makeshift long dagger made of a tooth, from one of her preys before. She stabbed the Lion beast with all her might. The Lion beast roared! It was in pain. Though it wasn't enough to kill it, it definitely will slow it down. Yi Ling kicked the Lion beast while pulling the dagger out. It was bleeding hard now.

An eye for an eye. Yi Ling wasn't unscathed either, she was bleeding as well. She got clawed a bunch of times when she was dodging earlier.

Roar!!!

The Lion beast was extremely mad now! He didn't want to die like this. He knew he wasn't in his territory, since there wasn't any spiritual energy in this area. He was kidnapped! And now he was bleeding. If this keeps going, he will die for sure.

He couldn't feel any spiritual energy with the young man in front of him either, even then he can feel that the human was confident. It was enough to send him to the Yellow Springs.

Yi Ling felt that the Lion beast was now hesitating and she wasn't sure why. The Lion beast then turned around and ran. Yi Ling was bewildered.

" That was it? " She said. She then turned around and waiting for the bear's answer.

Yi Ling sighed. Either way, she knew that she was far from a match for it. She just got lucky, she thought.
