The Fallen Consort

She lifted Mu Xin's chin to raise his neck in a much better angle. Her face slowly went down to his face and they kissed. Well, it looked like a kiss. She gave him the medicine through this method. Mu Xin's body accepted the water going into his body, along with the pill.

The Pill's potency was too great and too effective that Mu Xin's eyes, instantly opened. Yi Ling didn't even noticed it when Mu Xin woke up, next thing she knew was her head got pulled in closer. Going for a much deeper kiss.

Jin Minzhe's eyes went wide. Wow! Father! Way to go! He chuckled. Just then, he remembered that there was still danger outside. He cleared his throat ever so loudly.

Mu Xin's brows furrowed at the sound. He released the dazed and blushing Yi Ling.

"You! What are you doing here?!" Mu Xin sat up.

"Father! Is that how you greet your own son?" Jin Minzhe smiled devilishly, he just saw a different side of his father. That was really something!

Mu Xin turned red, he didn't know that someone was watching him as he kissed Yi Ling. It was just a natural reaction from him. Everytime Yi Ling was around him, he can't help his emotions. He love her too much.

"Tell me! Why are you here and why are you on that state? Have you grew weaker since I last saw you?" Mu Xin teased Jin Minzhe yet he was worried inside. Jin Minzhe was in a pretty awful state. Bleeding and bruises everywhere!

"Oh please, If only it was that. No, the madman is here."

Hearing that term, Mu Xin's eyes stared at his son. That can't be. King Jin can't be here. Not now! Not when Yi Ling is around!

"Minzhe, go and summoned Linyu and Tefei to the hill. Yi Ling, stay here inside my chamber. You mustn't get outside no matter what. I'll explain it to you later." Mu Xin got up from his bed.

Yi Ling was confused. Who is this madman? Why was Mu Xin anxious? Is it the person that hurt Minzhe?

"Do you trust me?" Mu Xin looked into her bright brown eyes. He wanted to know if Yi Ling trusted him. He held both of her hands together with his, he was anxious.

".... I Do..." After some thought, she admitted it. She had always trusted Mu Xin. Yi Ling was sure of this.

Hearing her words made Mu Xin's heart flutter. He pulled her closer and hugged her.

"Remember, No matter what happens from here on. Always believe in me. All I've done and going to are for all for you. I have always love you Ling'er, More than you could ever think off." He finally confessed his feelings for her, It was eating him inside day by day. Not being able to hold her and see her. He gently kissed her forehead.

Jin Minzhe didn't left yet, so he had seen everything. This old man of his was too smooth! Even he couldn't help but turned red! Just like his mother!.

"Ehem.. Father, I also need to speak with you. I'll meet you outside." Jin Minzhe rushed outside, he felt too awkward to stay there.

Yi Ling stared at the floor, Mu Xin was still holding her. She blushed when she remembered Jin Minzhe. She almost forgotten about him.

"Mu Xin. I trust you and will always trust you. And I'm sorry for hurting you." She didn't elaborate, she didn't know how to explain that she had fallen already for someone else. She don't even know if that happened in real life.

Mu Xin lifted her chin up and whispered. "Don't be, I am more sorry than you." His hand gently rubbed her cheek.

"Stay here, I will be back." Mu Xin's kissed her hand and left.

Yi Ling was left standing in the middle of the room. She was dazed, confused and somewhat shy. She knew she only viewed Mu Xin as a confidant, Yet why is her heart beating so fast. Ever since her lips landed on Mu Xin's, it ignited something within her.

This isn't right!. She can't love two man at the same time! It would be unfair for the both of them!

Her knees got weak and she fell on her buŧŧ. She was still looking dazed while staring at the closed door.
