The Goddess Needs A Break!

Approximately an hour passed after Takei had brought snacks and drinks for the two princesses watching anime.

"Haah... what a good finale!" Akari satisfyingly sighed. "They really flexed the main protagonist's strength in front of everyone."

"I liked it too!" Shiori happily bounced around on the bed.

Since Takei had already watched this show in the past, he was already caught up to the current season.

This meant that he had to find something to do in the meantime, which ended up resulting in him finishing unpacking his belongings.

After the two finished watching the finale, they realized that it was almost time to start getting ready for dinner.

"Hmm, what do we have for ingredients at home?" Akari looked towards Takei.

"Not much, Airi only bought the minimum amount of food needed for her to eat. That means that we have to go out and get some ingredients ourselves," Takei shrugged.

Since Takei and Akari had been gone for a decent amount of time, the fridge was not exactly in the best state possible.

"Okay, sounds good to me!" Akari nodded. "Shioriii, let's go out for a walk~"

"Okay, big sis!" Shiori immediately agreed.

Once it was decided that they would quickly go and get groceries, everyone got ready in a short amount of time and departed the house.

Shiori held both Takei and Akari's hands as she was sandwiched in-between the two of them.

Looking at them from an objective standpoint, the three of them looked like the ideal picture of a perfect family.

Neither Takei or Akari were wearing their school uniforms, instead opting for casual clothes, which only furthered their mature appearances.

Takei was now old enough to have a deep masculine appearance, while Akari looked like a young housewife with how lovingly she was looking at Takei.

With Shiori who looked like a cute daughter in-between the two of them, the group of three were undoubtedly a beautiful family.

Even the random people passing by thought the same thing.

"They had a daughter at that young of an age?!"

"He's living the life that all of us want! That lucky bastard..."

"I wish I had a young housewife to greet me when I come home from a long day of work..."

Various whispers and murmurs entered Takei's ears, but he brushed them aside and focused on the task at hand.

They promptly arrived at the grocery store without much hassle.

As per usual, Akari was going to be the one picking out the ingredients since she was the head chef of the household.

Seeing Takei pushing the shopping cart, Shiori tugged at the hem of his shirt and looked at him with puppy eyes. "Big bro, can you push me around in the cart? Pretty please!"

Takei couldn't find the heart to refuse a young girl's request. "Of course. Up you go!"

Lifting Shiori up and placing her into the upper basket of the cart, Takei began to push the cart around.

"Weeeeee!!!" Shiori happily exclaimed.

He was only pushing the cart at a medium speed following Akari around the store, but it must've been a fast speed for Shiori.

Akari saw the shenanigans that the two of them were doing and softly smiled at the sight of both of them having fun.

While Takei was busily pushing the princess around in the cart, an older woman approached him. "May I presume that you're a husband and father?"

"Husband and father...?" Takei was dumbfounded.

The woman realized that she was going about this the wrong way. "Pardon me for the lack of an introduction. I'm a reporter who does stories on anything romance related, so I couldn't help it when I saw a young couple with their daughter out and about flirting so much."

Takei didn't think that he was flirting a lot in the first place, but he realized that he occasionally did some flirty stuff with Akari without even noticing it.

"Takei?" Akari came back at the perfect moment to save him. "Who is this woman?"

After explaining the circumstances to her, Akari nodded and approached the woman. "Ah, we're a couple, but we're not married yet. We're also just babysitting this little girl, she's not actually our daughter. I'm sorry for the confusion."

Bowing towards the woman, Akari explained everything without room for negotiation.

"Oh, I'm very sorry for assuming," the woman bowed back. "However, I would love to hear your love story. I can sense that you two are overflowing with love towards one another."

"Are you being serious?" Akari questioned her.

"Yep, you two are undeniably perfectly compatible with each other. I can tell that you two bounce off of each other and rely on each other," the woman explained. "That's why your relationship is surely a work of the gods!"

Hearing her outstanding praise for them, Akari blushed and faltered. "I don't mind if it's a short interview..."

"Great!" The woman shook her hands.

My girlfriend is too gullible, but that's another quality I love about her.

And so, a short grocery trip turned into a long interview session.
