The KPOP Otaku's Noona Fantasy

"Are you coming or do I have to drag you?"

Irene sheepishly gets up from her seat and hurries towards the canteen.

I shrug my shoulders at Jaebum and just follow her.

After a few minutes, we head into the canteen. Its relatively empty as the seniors have preference. The juniors and freshman will join a bit later.

The canteen is filled with steel tables and chairs. It reminds you of a typically mess hall. But it has that Korean feel with dark wood flooring and open air lighting.

Irene is fiddling with her fingers not knowing what to do so I just tell her to get a seat while I fill our trays.

Once I'm done paying, I head to look for Irene.

She is sitting by the tables outside.

The weather is pretty cool today. I guess it's not such a bad choice to be in the fresh air.

I carry over the two trays and push the door open with my heel. I place the tray with ox-bone soup and bibimpap infront of Irene. While I put the chicken cutlet and chips on the opposite side.

I'm facing her. I must say the view is amazing. I think I'm full just looking at her. She's not just a snack. She's a full course meal

With the cool breeze and greenery around her, it really feels like I'm in a manhwa right now.

"Thank you for the food!", Irene says.

We eat for a bit and talk about random things. She even speaks with her mouth full. But not in a gross way. It just reminds me that she is still young and its pretty cute that she shows me a side, i;ve never read or seen on camera before.

The tables around us gradually fill with other kids but it appears that no one wants to disturb the two of us so our table is still empty. We have 10 seats all to ourself. This is just so weird.

"Baechu, does this count as a date?"

She gives me a unimpressed look, "No way!"

I laugh and say "Why not? It's just us two and the atmosphere is pretty good", I playfully move my head like a little boy teasing a girl he likes.

She just looks at me dead eyed, not finding it cute at all. "If you want to take, me on a date you have to ask"

"Your birthday is coming up soon right? 29 March?"

She is slightly shocked, "Yeah, how do you know?"

I smirk and lean in as if to hide what I'm saying from any prying ears. I beckon her closer and say "Did you forget already?.... I'm from the future"

Not expecting such a serious answer. She blurts out laughing, Weeehahaha. Her laugh is really unique and it catches those in the surroundings attention.

I'm still leaning in, the pose is a little ambiguous so she nudges me away. I go back to my original position and I can see her flushed cheeks and angry glare. It looks like she is blaming me for this situation.

'Its not like I forced you to laugh'

I continue, " Soooooo.... how about that day? The 29th its a Saturday.... We have a date? A proper one"

In a very small voice she answers, "...Okay"

I try and hide my happiness. But I can feel my lips turning upwards.

Yup! I'm definitely smiling like an idiot right now.
