“What, could it be you’re really still thinking of getting back together with your slag ex-boyfriend?” Mu Lingxi looked down at Luo Liyan who was lost in thought and hadn’t said a word for a while, and spoke in her ear with a cloudy tone laced with anger.

The threatening tone instantly sent a shiver down Luo Liyan’s back towards the sole of her feet, and she couldn’t help slightly shivering.

She laughed stiffly and wanted to turn around to placate the jealous man, but she found out she was actually tightly locked in his embrace.

“Cold? Then I’ll give you some warmth.”

“…” I’m not cold at all, it was clearly you that scared me into trembling!

Luo Liyan pouted, and gloomily jabbed him in her mind.  

The man’s unique fragrance quickly flooded her senses. It smelled so good she couldn’t help but rub against it.

This kind of intimate action made the chilliness in Mu Lingxi’s body completely dissipate into nothing.

“Alright, I’ll let you handle the rest.” Mu Lingxi faintly addressed the policemen before drooping his eyelids to look at the little fluffy head pressed against his chest, and his lips instantly rose in a gentle and pampering smile.

Suddenly, he half-bent down and picked up Luo Liyan, who let out a startled shout, in a princess carry.

“What’s so good about living in such a dangerous place? Come home with me, I’ll treat you to delicious food.”

“What did you say?” Mu Lingxi’s sword eyebrows tightly clenched together, and the previously clear bottom of his eyes abruptly turned into a stormy sea with crashing waves.

However, Luo Liyan looked as if she hadn’t noticed any change, and agitatedly retold him the recent events that unfolded before his arrival.

The several police officers anxiously watched as Mu Lingxi’s expression turned darker and darker, until it seemed as if he wanted to swallow someone after peeling off his skin. They couldn’t help but secretly wipe the new cold sweat that accumulated over their foreheads.
