The New Order of Azeroth

The population of Azeroth has never been determined. As a writer, I don't understand what land is cultivated, what officials manage costs, what productivity and production relations are.

Why did I set the population of Lordaeron to be one million, even I see that other fan authors are deliberately reducing the population, why?

One reason, balance.

For example, when the blood elves were wiped out, 90% of them died, and a lot of people died from magic addiction. Kael'thas and Illidan went to fight Alsace, and a lot of them died. They took refuge in the legion and were slaughtered A bunch of them were formed, and then split and blurred again. Here comes the question, how many blood elves are left in the end?

The same question, when Thrall crossed the endless sea, there were only a few ships, so a few people developed a tribe? According to the shipbuilding technology of that era, one ship carried 500 people, and 100 ships only had 50,000 orcs. King Wa only claimed to have 100 ships when he was a pandaren.
