Chapter 24.1: I’m Her Fiance

Under the Phoenix Guards’ maniacal attack, quite a number of the black robe assassins died.

“Forget about all the others and just kill the girl heir.”

The eyes of the leader of the assassins became malevolent as he stared at Duanmu Xi coldly.

Hearing the order given, more than ten of the black robed assassins immediately abandoned the assault on the other side and leapt straight towards Duanmu Xi.

Watching the black robed assassins surging together straight towards them, Xuanyuan Mo’s eyes narrowed and he released a bolt of blue mystical energy which killed two black robed assassins instantly.

Phoenix Fifth was slightly dazzled by Xuanyuan Mo’s incisive attack. [He had actually just killed two elite killers who were above the Mystic King level in an instant!]

[A seventeen year old Mystic Sovereign, this youth was just too heaven defying!]

“What are you staring blankly at? Protect Little Xi!”

Xuanyuan Mo’s shout immediately pulled Phoenix Fifth back to her senses.

“Yes.”

Her voice was a lot more respectful than before. The Constellation Lands was a place was might reigned supreme and since his cultivation level was above hers, then he deserves to gain her respect.

The leader of the assassins saw Xuanyuan Mo’s chilling strike and his eyes narrowed.

[Who is this man? When did the Crown Princess come to get such a character at her side? Seems like he would have to step up personally this time.]

Suddenly, Xuanyuan Mo felt a powerful surge of mystic force that was lurching right towards him.

“Snowy, watch out.”

Xuanyuan Mo held Duanmu Xi and dodged sideways before he then jumped into battle with the leader of the assassins.

Phoenix Fifth was tangled up with other assassins and there were not a single Phoenix Guard around Duanmu Xi.

A black robed assassin then secretly sneaked closer towards Duanmu Xi behind her back.

[They really think she’s that useless?]

A glint of murder then flashed in Duanmu Xi’s violet eyes.

She had originally not wanted people to know that her meridians had been restored so soon but since these people were coming to seek their own doom, then she would grant them their wish.

Seeing that someone was trying to sneak up and attack Duanmu Xi, Xuanyuan Mo’s heart filled up with fright.

“Little Xi! Look out!”

That one moment’s distraction caused Xuanyuan Mo to be struck by the assassin leader’s blue mystic energy blast. With a low grunt, he was thrown tens of meters back and blood flowed out from the corners of his mouth.

When Duanmu Xi saw that, the murderous rage in her intensified and a chilling and sinister aura spilled out incessantly from her entire body, causing her enemies to shiver involuntarily.

Just as Duanmu Xi was able to make her move, that assassin who was sneaking up on her suddenly fell to the ground.

Dead…..

[Who did that?]

“Little Xi.”

Duanmu Xi raised her head, and saw a man standing upon a bright winged dragon in the air.

The man was dressed in white, the wind in his face, looking like a celestial god descended from the Heavens who enchanted the women present. Even Duanmu Xi stared dazedly at him, almost forgetting to breathe.

The white robed man then leapt off the winged dragon to land right in front of Duanmu Xi, who then wrapped his arms around her in an embrace.
