Chapter 26.1: Amnesia

With Red Leaf’s clear and loud announcement, Huangfu Che came walking in slowly dressed in full snowy white, a faint smile hanging from his extraordinarily handsome face. Who knew how many women were bedazzled and lost within that intoxicating smile.

Duanmu Shuang’s eyes were staring without even blinking, her gaze fixated foolishly on the man she yearned to get even in her dreams.

And behind Huangfu Che, a young man and a young woman followed in his footsteps.

The young man was wearing full black, his body exuding a repelling aura that kept people at arm’s length.

When everyone saw that young man’s looks, they all gasped loudly.

The youth’s countenance did not lose out to the Phoenix Empress in anyway, similarly flawless and city ruining, but the feeling the two men gave people was rather different.

His Majesty, the Phoenix Empress was like a reverent deity descended from the Nine Heavens, a person people could only look at but was beyond their reach, while the youth looked like a seductive demon who had accidentally barged into the mortal realm, beautiful and mysterious.

There was a young woman beside the youth.

The young lady was dressed in full white, the flawlessly beautiful face not showing any expression, her pair of violet eyes gazing fixedly on Duanmu Xue up on the Phoenix Throne.

Everyone was just staring at her in flabbergasted shock.

All the officials went back to their own spots to open up a path for Huangfu Che and the other two people, hoping deep inside that Her Majesty the Lady Emperor would forget that they had sounded their agreement earlier.

The person that was most excited at that moment must be Duanmu Xue.

[Little Xi. Her Little Xi has finally come back…..]

“Xue Er, I have brought Little Xi back.”

Huangfu Che did not bow to pay his respects to Duanmu Xue but just exchanged a few brief words that exemplified the enviable thick affection between the two of them.

[Mother?]

Duanmu Xi stared blankly in a daze at Duanmu Xue.

The Lady Emperor of the Vermillion Bird Kingdom really looked exactly the same as her mother.

Maybe the Heavens knew that she had not had parents ever since she was very young, they have allowed her to pass through worlds to come here, and gave her a pair of parents who loved her like the most precious treasure.
