Chapter 42.3: Sacred Gold Academy

Duanmu Xi was stumped by his sudden question and it took awhile before she reacted and nodded her head.

“There is an opportunity now.”

As Xuanyuan Mo said it, he indicated with his gaze to the few who sat at the table next to them.

Duanmu Xi immediately understood what he meant.

“Are you referring to the matter about that elder taking in a disciple?”

She seems to have heard that elder was an Alchemist.

Xuanyuan Mo nodded, “Yes, this Elder Situ is the best Alchemist at Sacred Gold Academy. Although I don’t know what rank he has attained, but he should at least be a black ranked Alchemist.”

Black ranked Alchemist?

There was a touch of excitement in Duanmu Xi’s eyes.

After being in Heaven’s Sea Continent for so many years, she finally knew how rare Alchemists were.

In the entire Vermillion Bird Empire, there was only one Alchemist and  it was a yellow ranked Alchemist at the early stage. Now, when she heard that there was a black ranked Alchemist, how could she not be excited?

Three days later, the three left the inn early and departed for Sacred Gold Academy.

Located in the east of Central Prefecture City, Sacred Gold Academy has been around for hundreds of years and is the top academy in Heaven’s Sea Continent.

The people of Heaven’s Sea Continent are proud to be able to enter Sacred Gold Academy, but this Sacred Gold Academy only accepts students every three years.

And if one wants to enter Sacred Gold Academy, one must go through a lot of tests. If one fails the test, even if one was the Emperor of the four kingdoms, Sacred Gold Academy will still not accept that person.

Today, at the entrance of Sacred Gold Academy, the news of the sudden enrollment had spread like wildfire throughout the entire Heaven’s Sea Continent.

As soon as the day of enrollment arrived, everyone was crowded outside Sacred Gold Academy. There were even some who had been waiting outside the academy for two days and two nights, afraid that they would miss this golden opportunity.

“Your Highness, there’s a lot of people!”

A glint flashed by Duanmu Xi’s eyes and her expression turned determined.

For Little Shadow, she must enter the Sacred Gold Academy and find that mysterious Elder Situ.

Not long after, a majestic middle aged man walked in front of everyone.

“Welcome everyone to attend the admissions examination at Sacred Gold Academy.”

When his low voice was heard in the crowd, everyone was quiet.

“This admission examination is the same as before, divided into four: The first, you will be tested on mystic energy. The second, spirit power, the third will be alchemy and the fourth, refining armaments. Now, please queue up behind your chosen subject for the first test.”

The moment his voice trailed off, everyone rushed to line up at the allocated queue.

Duanmu Xi looked at the crowd of people who swarmed forward. She didn’t step forward to join in the fun, she just stood aside and watched.

On the long table at the entrance of the college, there were four people who looked like the teachers.

Sitting at the forefront was a burly man with a square face, responsible for testing mystic energy, most people lined up in front of him.

The second place was a glamorous woman dressed in black. The woman was graceful and there was not a trace of aging on her beautiful face. There was no warmth in her eyes.

She was responsible for spirit power. Although there were not many strong men in front of her, there were still many people.

At the third place sat a grey robed old man with half his head full of white hair. He had only eight people in front of him because what he was in charge of was alchemy.

The last person was a white robed old man who exudes an otherworldly feeling. There were not many people in front of him, just slightly more than a dozen. This old man was testing for refining armament.

Looking at all the psyched up participants in front, Duanmu Xi looked up and asked, “Snowy, are you going to enter the Sacred Gold Academy?”

Xuanyuan Mo shook his head. “I learned the practice of the Snow Wolf family. The teachers here can’t teach me.”

Duanmu Xi pursed her lips as she lowered her gaze to conceal the glint of disappointment that flashed by her eyes.
