Living together – Day 2

There were no major problems after that and we spent our time in our respective rooms.

–The next day–

Today is “Friday”.

If I can get through this day, I’d like to spend Saturday and Sunday organizing my room. It seems that Lida’s room hasn’t been cleaned up very well, and I’d like to get her settled soon.

After getting ready in the morning, I walked into the dining room and kitchen and saw Lida looking back at me. She had already changed into the summer uniform of the school.

The white shirt was clean and the ribbon was a point. Her skirt was just short of the school regulations. It was a very cute design, and it suited Lida, who was idolized as a Russian girl.

“Good morning again, Oojirou.”

“Yes, good morning. You’re already in uniform?”

“Daijiro wakes up slowly~. It’s been five minutes already.”

“Oh, I see.”

“What were you doing late last night?”

“Working. It was Haruka-san’s ……, the programmer who gives me my work, and I have a deadline coming up.”

“Oh, I see. Is it to pay for the apartment?”
“Yes. If I wanted to live on my own, I had to pay for it myself.”

Normally, it would be fine for my parents to send some money, but they were very strict. However, they allowed me to live alone – or rather, live with Lida. Or perhaps it was just a coincidence that this happened.

“I see. Well, I’ll pay you half the rent soon.”

“Oh, you don’t mind?”

“No. I don’t. I’m being allowed to live here, and it would be bad if I had to ask you to let me stay here. So, forgive me for now.”

With her cheeks dyed red, Lida reached out her right hand and gently placed her fingers on my left cheek. It was still early in the morning and my mind was still slow, so I was petrified, and I didn’t have time to resist – our lips just overlapped.

It was as sweet as sugar and even tasted slightly of buttery. At this moment, I was filled with a sense of relief rather than panic.

Then I noticed something. There was something on the table. Is that what the sweet thing is?
