Two minutes by train

The apartment where Lida and I live, is in the next town.

We take the train from Maisaka Station and arrive in Bentenjima Station.

We walked to the station and went through the ticket gate using our POICA. As we waited on the platform, a train arrived just in time.

We boarded it and were on our way to the next town in two minutes.

It’s a very short two minutes, but you get a great view of the lake. I loved the scenery of this part of the trip.

“I like the scenery here.”

“Yeah, I agree.”

Even though it passed by in an instant, it still lingered in my mind. But more than that, my eyes were drawn to the delicate features of Lida’s face.

–We arrived at Bentenjima Station and exited the station.

“Hey, Oojirou. Let’s go to a convenience store.”

“…… Oh, it was our first day living together and the refrigerator was empty. The only thing I have is some seasoning, so I guess we will have to settle for a convenience store lunch today. Is that okay?”

“Yes, I haven’t eaten a Japanese convenience store lunch yet, so I’m looking forward to it.”

It seems that Lida is new to the convenience store experience. It must have been hard for her to go through all the formalities after she came to Japan. …… If that’s the case, I’ll try to buy her some things as a welcoming gift.
