The Sorcerer's Bride

Zylvia had been having a wonderful day. She had followed Kaldrek around as Fayre was feeling very tired and needed to rest. As much as Zylvia liked spending time with the queen it was always nice to spend some extra time with her sorcerer.

Kaldrek was in a good mood as well. Teasing her continuously as she hung around him. His teasing left a smile on her face as it felt natural to her for her beloved husband to tease her. His teasing had taken a more romantic turn ever since they had become more than friends but he still did tease her all the time.

Zylvia actually loved being teased by the man she had sworn to spend the rest of her life with and teased him right back.

Currently he had a hold of her wrist as they stood in the hallway. He was grinning at her, ears perked up and his entire attention was focused on her.

Kaldrek tugged on her wrist, pulling her against him and ducked his head to rest on her shoulder. "Don't be mad, sweetheart. I may have gone too far but surely you know I did not mean to upset you."

Zylvia had to work not to start giggling. She had been playing at being offended at something he had said in order to tease him back. It was rather fun to see him in a fluster over her reactions as he tried to make up for it.

She grinned to herself and turned her head slightly, just enough so she could place a kiss near his eye. She let out her giggle, "Oh, Kaldrek. You are so much fun to mess with, my love."

He lifted his head from her shoulder and frowned, "What?"

"I was messing with you dear," She giggled as his frown became a little deeper, "I find your reaction cute when you think you've gone too far."

"You had me really worried there!" Zylvia's husband straightened up, fixed her with narrowed eyes and crossed his arms across his chest, "Now you have to give me compensation."

"Compensation?" She blinked at him, "What?" When he raised a brow at her she caved in, "Fine."

He smiled at her brightly and wrapped an arm around her waist. Yanking her back to him, Kaldrek dropped a kiss on her lips, his other hand finding its way into her hair.

Without even thinking about it, Zylvia reached up to wrap her arms around his neck, closing what little distance there still was in between of them.

When he pulled away, and leaned his forehead against hers she rolled her eyes at him, "That was the compensation you wanted? A kiss? Really, dear?" Not that she would actually complain or anything.

"What can I say?" Kaldrek kissed her nose and pulled back, a slight smirk lifting his mouth up, "I find the taste of my wife addicting."

Zylvia leaned forward and pecked his lips again, "Well, you hardly need to claim a kiss as compensation. As far as I am concerned you can kiss me whenever you would like."

"I know." He slipped her hand into the crook of his arm as he started pulling her along with him. "But that was all I really wanted right then. Besides, I was not really upset with you, just a little bit, well, exasperated by the fact you let me think I had gone too far with my teasing."

She giggled again at him, and leaned her head against his shoulder. "But you are so cute when flustered."

He sighed and rolled his eyes at her, "Well, dear, you can fluster me in different ways than making me worry. You do have that effect on me in general you know."

"You haven't been flustered as much lately though."

"…I've been getting used to it. Still, my love, worrying me like that is a bit…"

"Which is why I let you know."

He shook his head at her, a helpless smile lifting his mouth. "Alright, dear. Can you not do that again to me, though?"

"…I…Oh, alright." She stepped closer to him, tightening her grip on his arm, "I guess that might have been a bit much."

Kaldrek turned to her and pecked her forehead. He really was sweet to her. Zylvia felt happiness blooming deep inside of her at how her husband treated her.
