The Transmigrated Li Jin’s Daily Farming Life

Li Jin said, “You should also eat while the food is hot. There is a poached egg in the bowl.”

It was important to take care of the body in the post-delivery period. Eating small frequent meals was important.

Li Jin thought Qin Mu Wen would be fed up with only drinking soup, so he added an egg in the bowl.

Qin Mu When slowly held the bowl and took a sip the temperature of the soup was slightly cool, but it had a sweet taste.

He used to like sweet things when he was at home. 

But, after his marriage to Li Jin, there was no chance to eat sugar. Sugar had become a luxury for him.

Sugar was made from beetroots and was made in a scant quantity. 

In the ancient era, sugar-making machines and technology were not there. People didn’t know to make sugar from sugarcane. Mainly the sugarcane in the north was not sweet.

Sugar was precious at that time. 

Li Jin had a full-view of Mu Wen’s delighted expressions.

Li Jin asked, “Like sugar?”

Qin Mu Wen hurriedly put down the bowl, nodded, and then quickly shook his head.

Li Jin didn’t comment on it and continued to hold the baby.

After drinking half of the soup, Mu Wen carefully took a bite off the poached egg.

The inside of the poached egg was very soft, it melted in his mouth instantly.

Li Jin was quite skilled in making a poached egg. 

After having the meal, Qin Mu Wen felt very peaceful. The sound of Li Jin washing dishes was very unique and made him feel relaxed.

If Li Jin could always be like this, he would be very grateful. 

Qin Mu Wen looked at the baby and murmured, “Am I being too greedy?”  

After washing dishes, Li Jin took shower with the cold water left in the kitchen.

He was deliberately tempering his body with hot and cold water to make himself strong.

After taking the bath he waited to dry his body thoroughly before entering the room.

The teenager was asleep when he entered the room. There was a kerosene lamp slightly illuminating the room present on the table.

The boy was sleeping somewhat uncomfortably occupying a very small space on the bed. 

Qin Mu Wen had felt Li Jin’s likeness towards the baby, so he left the baby in the middle of the bed.

He occupied the inner side of the bed and slept while sticking to the wall.

When Li Jin looked at the baby, he suddenly remembered to make the rice batter to feed the baby.

Newborn babies tend to wake up in the middle of the night to eat something.

It took a while to cook the rice better. Li Jin decided to first cook the rice and then left it overnight to soften it up.

With the child in the middle, Mu Wen was somewhat comfortable to sleep.

Qin Mu Wen was a light sleeper, but as a doctor, Li Jin was more alert.

Li Jin picked up the baby when the baby woke up in the middle of the night. 

Qin Mu Wen also stirred hearing the baby cry. Li Jin hurriedly patted Mu Wen’s head. 

Qin Mu Wen fell asleep again. 

The next morning, when Mu Wen woke up he saw Li Jin was only wearing an inner-shirt, and the baby was pulling his shirt with his small hands.

Li Jin was holding the baby and feeding him goat milk mixture.

After feeding the baby, Li Jin looked down and saw Qin Mu Wen was awake.

Li Jin got speechless.
