If those mutated animals started to get stronger, then who knows when even guns would become useless and at that time, the power that humans had around the world might stop.

All of the best researchers from around the world started to get moved to one of four laboratories to study the animals and many mutated animals that the military had gotten their hands on when defending the people also started to be shipped to one of those four laboratories.

There were four laboratories instead of one because even though there was a lot of confusion about the mutated animals, the four major superpowers around the world still didn't want to work together.
