To Return To Where You Belong To

The Jade Pearl in the water deity's keeping was one of thousands other jade pearls decorating the throne of Eastern Sea God.

This sea god, had a number of children. Most of them studied and cultivated under other water gods' wings...

"So, are you one of them?"

Yuan Ji shot a deathly glare at the boy. "Please don't interrupt me."

"Okay, continue your story, then." YueChen nodded his head.

...The sea god had a habit to favor only one of his children for few days. If the eldest was deemed the best of all, they'd receive gifts and had their wishes granted. To the god, this was certainly a smart way to motivate all his children.

The problem was, some of them were incapable of competing. Some just didn't want to. Thus the god chose to ignore his children who was slightly insignificant compared to others.

One day, a storm destroyed a village near the sea. Waves crashed into the land, and a small water deity was swept along the current, dragging her further and further from her home—the sea. She ended up in a small river and stayed there for a while, waiting for rescue that never came.

In her family, she was the eleventh child. In her family, she never compete with her siblings. In her family, no one actually remembered her. She stayed there, hoping for a miracle to happen....

"Why the hell are you so hyper anyway?? Can't you hold yourself from spouting comments and nonsenses here and there??!" raged the water deity.

YueChen on the other hand, sneezed four times. "It's—it's not my fault that I'm ADHD—achoo!"

"What even—"

"I have difficulties to focus and am hyperactive." YueChen explained. "Though it's leaning towards ADD..."

"Your inability to stay still and focus is blamed on that?"

"Yeah. So are you going to continue? I wanna hear the story."

".... I thought I said that I'm not to continue if you cut in...."

"I didn't notice you were warning me few moments ago." YueChen said honestly.

Yuan Ji could only sighed in exasperation.
