The requirements of the Transformation Ritual are: the soul cutting of the Prophet's Path Sequence 5, the guardian angel of the Grail Path Sequence 5, the inorganic transformation of the Alchemy Path Sequence 4, and the "transformation of spirit and flesh" of the Great Philosopher Sequence 9.

Tia possesses both the Guardian Angel and Soul-Body Transformation rituals. What she lacks are the Inorganic Transformation and Soul Severance.

Since the prophet cannot be found for the time being, we can only try to find the inorganic transformation ritual of alchemy first.

As Tia thought this, she drifted from the ballroom to reality and went downstairs to see Annie humming a tune softly.

Anne saw Tia waving and asked curiously, "Is Vera awake?"

"No, she went to bed too late yesterday, and after taking a nap this afternoon, she couldn't be woken up no matter what I did. Why are you asking this?"

Tia didn't understand.

Anne's cheeks were flushed as she cheerfully said, "That's how she is. She doesn't go to sleep until very late! I wanted Tia to come with me to the music store to see the piano I just ordered."

"But there's nowhere to put this, isn't there?"

Tia was a little confused. There wasn't a dedicated music room at 16 Crown Street; if they were to put a music piece there, it would probably be in Annie's bedroom. The bedroom wasn't small, of course, but Annie's room was very messy.

It wasn't exactly dirty; in fact, it was quite clean. It was just that because there was no maid to help her tidy up, the ritual props for the hearth fire, the documents and monographs used, the small statues and hammers and chisels, the miscellaneous musical instruments, and the used stockings she had just taken off were so messy that they were completely unrelated to the word "ladylike." Adding a piano would only make it more chaotic.

"Of course I'm not putting it there. I originally wanted to put it in Vera's room, but it's a bit small there. Eleanor's room is big, but Eleanor isn't here. So I'm planning to put it with you, Tia."

Anne clung to Tia's arm and pleaded, "So, okay?"

This is a lie.

She is indeed planning to commission a piano.

However, the main purpose of placing the piano in Tia's room was not because her room was too small, but because it made it easier for her to find an excuse to sneak over to Tia's room at any time.

As for having Tia accompany her to look at the piano, the purpose wasn't the piano itself, but rather to pick up a birthday present for Tia on the way.

Anne bought the violin with the intention of getting Tia.

Tia didn't refuse, changed her clothes, and went out with Annie.

The streetlights in Silver Castle were more densely packed and much brighter than those in Newport and Citadel of the Brumaire. The two of them turned right after leaving 16 Crown Street and walked through two intersections to reach a high-end music store in the Regent's Quarter.

Tia knew absolutely nothing about the piano; her knowledge of music theory was inversely proportional to her knowledge of the occult—the closer she got to the ritual, the further she got from the strings. Anyway, as long as it sounded good, that was fine.

Annie, on the other hand, was very interested in looking at the items. After selecting one, she asked the sales assistant to pack it up and deliver it to No. 16 Crown Street that evening.

Soon after, Anne took a carriage to the tailor shop and mysteriously returned with a small package.

Tia felt the scene was familiar and asked curiously, "What is this?"

Annie solemnly raised her finger and said, "Shh! It's a secret! I'll definitely tell you when we get back! Just keep your curiosity alive for now."

Judging from the shape of the package—about the width of a palm and slightly tall—Tia could roughly guess what it was.

The black-haired girl slightly opened her mouth.

I received two items in just three or four days, why are you all so interested in this...?

Annie was quite happy throughout the journey.

Back at 16 Crown Street, Tia took out her keys, got out of the car, and opened the door for Annie.

As soon as she entered, Annie wanted to open the package to show Tia and maybe even get a little cuddling.

When she entered, she saw Vera sprawled on the sofa like some kind of pitiful, dehydrated lizard, staring longingly at Tia who had just walked in.

"Vera, are you alright?" Tia and Annie were both startled by Vera's commotion, thinking they had stumbled upon a murder scene.

Vera curled up on the sofa, turning into a little red fluffy ball. The fluffy ball murmured, "So hungry... so much pumpkin soup, roasted potatoes, fried lamb chops, cherry sauce, lobster jelly, frozen oysters, baked snails, caviar, sherry, yogurt cups, orange liqueur pancakes, lemon sorbet, powdered sugar macarons, strawberry fruit tarts... all flying in the sky..."

Tia & Annie: "......."

It turns out the child had been starved to the point of becoming mentally impaired.

Tia asked, her voice strained, "Didn't you have dinner?"

"I didn't even have lunch."

Vera pleaded, "Give me something to eat."

After eating something during the day, Vera meditated and went deep into the night. The church possesses numerous coordinates for nightmares and will open some of them for priests to train and gain experience within.

After her deep dive, Vera encountered some trouble in her nightmare and was unable to surface for a while. She finally broke free and returned to reality around 7 p.m.

Vera was starving after almost a whole day without food, and when she looked into the kitchen, she was even more desperate.

The cook is not here, and neither is the young lady.

Forget about cooking, there are no people ordering food anymore.

I made some myself, and it almost made her cry because it tasted so bad.

I simply lay down on the sofa and waited for Tia to come back and feed me.

Tia and Annie couldn't hold back. Annie had wanted to give Tia a gift, but seeing Vera's pitiful appearance, she was too embarrassed to smile and say anything. She quickly ran to the kitchen to help Tia tie an apron.

Tia walked into the kitchen and asked, "Is it okay to eat it downstairs?"

"Anything is fine, please hurry up. I'm about to die."

"Then learn to cook yourself, you idiot!"

"It's so great to have Tia here."

"It's no use praising me." Tia was speechless in the kitchen. She cooked some long noodles and made scallion oil, which she then poured directly onto the noodles.

She's too complicated for that; she'll just make do.

Tia looked at Anne and asked, "Anne, would you like something?"

Annie wasn't hungry, but the aroma of scallion oil tempted her, and she hesitated, saying, "Just a lettuce sandwich would be fine, with a little less bacon."

This person pays attention to body management.

Tia made two sandwiches, one for Vera. The child was starving; she's an extraordinary being with a large appetite, and even noodles probably wouldn't be enough.

Tia cut the remaining sandwich in half, one large and one small. She then fried an omelet and did the same.

She gave Anne the large sandwich and omelet.

Chapter 216 The Bet with Vera

This child was really driven to desperation by hunger.

In just over ten minutes, Vera quickly devoured the noodles and sandwich, so moved that she almost kowtowed to Tia on the spot and called her "Mom."

Hey, an aunt is also a mother.

After everyone finished eating, Vera volunteered to wash the dishes. Tia went to the bathroom to take a shower, and after that, she went straight back to her bedroom to copy the contents of the Book of Transformation.

The contents of the Book of Transformation were directly implanted into her memory after the promotion ceremony was completed.

This has its pros and cons. The advantage is that you don't need to spend time on rote memorization, but the disadvantage is that you'll gradually forget it over time. So copying it down is still quite necessary.

But she hadn't been sitting in the bedroom for long when she heard a series of thumping sounds.

The voice was very rhythmic; it was definitely Annie.

Tia said, "The door isn't closed, just come in."

Before she could finish speaking, Annie came in carrying a small package. She looked like she had just taken a shower and was barefoot. She shoved the package into Tia's arms and sat on the bed, her face full of anticipation.

Tia weighed it in her hand, already expecting this, and asked, "Is it a gift?"

"That's right, a birthday present! It's a little late, but I prepared it especially for you!"

Annie shook her head and sat on Tia's bed, kicking her feet. There were still some water droplets on the back of her feet that she hadn't dried off properly after her bath, making her look especially cute.

Are they shoes?

"No. They're very special shoes."

When Tia opened the package, she was a little dazed.

These were indeed very special shoes; they were wide-topped boots made of polished leather, with flat soles and metal horsebit buckles. Judging from their design, they weren't typical women's boots, but rather resembled riding boots or ceremonial guard boots.

Tia also had a pair before, which were smuggled goods from the Imperial Army that she bought on the black market. They were the same pairs she often wore when she was secretly trading with Anne in Nuremberg.

But later, during a bombing operation at St. Vincent's Church, the sole of his boot was damaged.

Seeing the same thing again evoked mixed feelings—lighting gunpowder under the sunset at St. Vincent's Church, that was her youth that she could never return to!

This is getting off-topic. Tia rubbed her forehead and tried on the boots first.

To be fair, this thing is more comfortable to wear than the smuggled goods she found. Although it lacks the ritualistic blessing, in terms of comfort, it is completely comparable to the boots Eleanor gave her. It even has some elasticity when you press down hard on your feet, clearly not a cheaply made item.

The boots fit surprisingly well. Unlike Eleanor, Tia wasn't surprised that Anne knew Tia's shoe size.

Without him, only familiar with Seoul.

Tia asked curiously, "This isn't an original product, is it?"

“How could that be! Those kinds of things can only be bought on the black market. This one was custom-made for me.” Anne shook her head and explained, “Besides, the quality of the original riding boots is too poor. I had the tailors and leatherworkers who supply clothing to the royal family choose better materials.”

"My mom found the craftsman for me. She said I shouldn't wear cheap boots or my feet would smell bad, and that smelling them too much could cause infections."

Tia sensed something was wrong with Mrs. Mercury—Auntie, don't you know a little too much?

She inquired, "Did Auntie say anything else?"

Annie blinked, tilted her head back, and said casually, "She also said that Tia is a good girl. She would never hang out with strange people or wander around lying around to get girls' contact information. Moreover, she is very loyal to her friends and to things, and she would never be fickle. In short, she is a very good person."

Tia bluntly stated, "This must have been said by Annie, right?"

My hair isn't dry yet. Could you help me blow-dry it?

Anne cleverly changed the subject, bringing out the amulet of the fire in the hearth.

......................

It doesn't take long to blow-dry Annie's hair. After Tia dried Annie's hair, she tied it up for her.

Anne knew how to do this herself; Evelyn had specifically taught her. She also believed Tia definitely knew how, given Tia's family background.

However, being able to do your own hair and being able to do other people's hair are two completely different things.

Just like how everyone takes a bath but not everyone is a bathhouse attendant.

But for some reason, Annie always felt that Tia seemed a little too skilled in this area...

Before she could think any further, there was a knock on the door downstairs.

When she went downstairs, she found that the people from the music store had arrived and were coming to install a piano in Tia's bedroom.

While the piano was being installed, Vera finished washing dishes in the kitchen and felt refreshed.

In the blink of an eye, she saw Tia's new boots and asked in bewilderment, "Tia, when did you buy these new boots?"

To be honest, these boots look pretty familiar.

She glanced at it a few times and felt she could smell a faint whiff of gunpowder.

That's a bit strange.

“It was from Annie.” Tia glanced at Vera a few times, then tapped her on the head and said, “Hey, Vera, did you get me a present?”

Vera retorted, "You're dreaming. I'm not going to give you an egg. Do I look like I have any money?"

"Where's your money? Didn't you have a lot of money?"

"My aunt found out and said she'd give it to me after graduation... I only have a dozen or so gold pounds on hand right now, barely enough to buy the ceremony materials next month. I think I'll just pack myself up and send myself to your bedroom as a gift."

"Hey, do you want to make some money?"

Vera was intrigued and asked curiously, "You have connections?"

Yes, and it's very big.

"How many?"

Tia held up two fingers.

Vera held her breath and exclaimed excitedly, "Twenty gold pounds?!"

"Vera, can't you be a little more sensible...?"

"The two hundred gold pounds?"

Vera felt that this number was quite large, two hundred gold pounds! Even a professor at the university would be considered quite good if he could earn two hundred gold pounds in half a year!
