The Golden King Ugaen Tukakankian is omnipotent. All Austin does is move on his chessboard, and the time for him to be abandoned is far from over.
Yes, it is such a happy thing to be a chess piece under the premise of being planned, walking on your own predetermined path.
All the pain and loneliness are just illusions before happiness comes.
In a trance, the explosions outside the corridor became more and more intense, accompanied by the sound of burning flames.
He is coming... He will free me, just as he did a hundred years ago...
Austin's heartbeat kept accelerating. It had been a long time since he became like this.
Finally, the cell door burst open—
"boom--"
The firelight was swept into the darkness, accompanied by thick steam, which made Austin squint slightly.
A man stumbled into the cell, one hand on his chest and the other clutching a heart covered in gears.
Austin was stunned when his lake blue eyes met his.
"You're longing, longing for him to come and save you, right?"
Lucius stumbled to Austin's chained torso and squatted down.
body.
Looking at the miserable state of the once high-spirited prince who had lost his limbs, Lucius's mouth curled up slightly:
"You long for someone to come, but in the end no one comes, leaving you alone in the depths of darkness."
"Lucius Phillips," Austin's mouth twitched, "you..."
"How does it feel to have your expectations shattered?" Lucius hissed. "Does it feel good?"
"The Court of Redemption will save your daughter," Austin's throat trembled, "save me and take me to find my brother..."
"There is no Court of Redemption here, and no brother either," Lucius lowered his head, "There is only you and me."
For a moment, only the sound of burning flames filled the silent air.
"We are both losers," Lucius said. "I failed to protect my daughter, and you failed to open the White Tower."
"Lucius, please..."
"Can you feel it? The Empire's Hanging Gardens are right above you right now," Lucius raised his head. "That's your home, right? Outside is the world you're familiar with. You're only one step away from getting out, seeing the people you know, and living the life you know."
"But you are about to die here, separated from everything you know."
Lucius stood up and looked down at Austin, his lake-blue eyes deep and bottomless.
"Do you feel it? This is the pain Miriam endured when you left her in that little room to die."
"Unlike you, she stayed to protect the people of North City, but you...you are a villain who has committed endless evil. You are bound by your sins and deserve the punishment you deserve."
"The Steam Man is your creation," Austin said viciously, "In terms of guilt... you are no less than me..."
"We are all sinners, I don't deny it," Lucius murmured, "I will atone for my sins in my own way, but before that..."
He grabbed Austin's head:
"You have to atone for your sins first."
With a "bang" sound, the skull hit the ground, accompanied by wailing.
“Aaaaaah!” Austin screamed, “Redemption…will eventually come…the great Yi will…Aaaaaaa——”
"Say a few more words," Lucius said calmly, slamming Austin's head against the ground again and again. "You will soon be unable to say anything."
"Oh!"
"Boom! Boom!"
"Uh...ah...ah..." Austin's tears were streaming down his face, his eyes blurry. "No...Lucius...I was wrong...Please...I don't want to...Ah...ah! I don't want to..."
"Hush, be quiet," Lucius whispered, "Milliam didn't cry until the end..."
Again and again, blood marks were repeatedly imprinted on the ground, like stamps for one crime after another.
When Prince Austin's head hit the ground for the twenty-fifth time, a scream erupted from his throat, and at the same time, a sound like an egg cracking was heard—
"Pfft."
Blood gushed out, along with white and red fragments, all over the ground.
Prince Austin's eyes rolled back and blood was flowing from all his orifices. He died in a miserable way.
The Golden People had strong physical fitness, so he managed to survive until his skull was smashed and his brain was damaged, and then he died completely.
""
Lucius let go of Prince Austin's head, stood up, and smeared the blood on his white shirt.
He rested for a moment, then picked up Prince Austin's body with one hand and grabbed the Gear Heart with the other.
""
Five minutes later, when the Immortals broke into the dungeon where Prince Austin was imprisoned, they saw only his dead body nailed to the wall.
And right below his body, a line of bloody characters read:
"The poem of sand will come to an end."
""
Strong winds blew across the academic city of Academi at night. This prosperous city was now shrouded in a huge shadow, like a trapped beast in a cage.
A faint, sad, foreign melody passed through streets filled with sand and earth statues, passed through trenches littered with corpses, and finally circled up around the giant structure of the Hanging Gardens.
At the top of the garden, the Golden King Ugaen Tukakankian slowly sat on the throne and looked down at the goddess's land.
Things were not going smoothly. The evil god and the saint disrupted his plan. It would no longer be a matter of a moment to pry open the White Tower, but would take time.
But what he lacks the most is time.
The emperor sat on the throne, gazing at the distant sea - his hometown.
A hundred years ago, a young man in a yellow robe stood in the sand sea, gazing at the sea.
Now, the emperor crossed the sea and nailed the imperial capital to the goddess' heart.
He opened his mouth, and once again sang the melody in his quicksand voice, singing the Song of Sand.
Volume 2 "Song of Sand" is finished.
Summary of Volume 2.
Ah, before I knew it, I had finished writing Volume 2, and the word count had successfully reached one million!
It feels like the progress is really fast.
Thinking back to when I was writing the old book, when I reached one million words, I even had a feeling of "unlocking an achievement!", and it was almost like a trophy popped up next to me.
I am gradually no longer a new author~
In fact, although this is only my second book, it has been two years in the writing process.
Look back
Looking back, I found that I have come such a long way in the past two years, and I have gained a lot of readers who have accompanied me along the way, which makes me feel happier.
Thank you for reading my book!
Well, first of all, some things that may concern you.
The ending of Volume 2 may not be so beautiful: the villain succeeded, the protagonists tried their best, but in the end they were one step short and failed to completely destroy the villain's conspiracy.
Don't worry, the questions will be answered starting from Volume 3.
The ending must be a happy one. Don't worry, there won't be any fighting between the main characters and the main supporting characters. This can be guaranteed.
Everyone will live well and have a happy ending.
And, with Mentor Lucius's escape from prison, Miriam's resurrection match is about to begin!
Then, there are some thoughts and summaries about the writing of this volume. What follows is basically a letter I wrote to my future self. If you don’t want to read my long-winded rambling, you can just cross it out!
In this volume, I set up a considerable amount of time for the two little ones to be alone. In fact, the plan is more like a travelogue: they travel through the war-torn Faru, open a clinic in Winter County at the end of the world, explore the ancient temple in the Karadorans Mountains, encounter the light elves who have been living in seclusion for many years in the depths of the Black Forest, rob a bank in the Oasis City, enter the abode of the Fallen God in the depths of the desert, and finally start a shocking battle in the Hanging Gardens.
Emotionally, the relationship between the two is gradually heating up, but due to one event after another, there is no way to achieve a qualitative change.
Both of them care about each other, but they also know what is important and what is not, and they often express themselves in a restrained manner.
To be honest, this kind of relationship is really enviable: supporting each other, accompanying each other, caring about each other, and waiting for the sunny day to come.
It brings tears to my eyes.
The development of pure emotional lines is not what I am good at. I am better at pushing the plot and using experiences to portray the relationships between characters, rather than describing the emotional lines as the main line.
An answer and guarantee for readers who feel that the love storyline is too slow: it will definitely bear fruit in the end.
After the two of them establish a relationship, will the feeling of writing a travelogue be completely different from this volume?
I'm really looking forward to this writing experience! I'm so happy to witness the growth of these two little ones with you.
The story structure of this volume is also the longest structure I have ever written, approximately 580,000 to 600,000 words, much longer than Volume 1.
It is divided into two major parts: Winter County and New Garo, a small final event and a large final event, with an eye of the storm episode in the middle.
I was very nervous at the beginning, always feeling that it might not be handled well. There is a lot of content and many obvious and hidden lines. Not only do I have to reveal clues as the progress is made, but I also have to weave the academic city line along these clues, otherwise the final effect will be much worse.
Finally, I think the effect is good. Based on my own final viewing experience, I should still give it a score of 7-8.
Well, all the final story clues successfully emerged along the advancement of the story line, and the final big wave came down.
For me personally, the final result was fantastic! But to prevent myself from getting too carried away, I still want to ask everyone:
What do you think of "Sand Song"?
Leave your thoughts in the comments section! If you have any suggestions, feel free to share them and I'll take them into consideration and make adjustments!
You all are my anchor (touched).
Also, if there is a world out there, could you please write some book reviews in the book review section! Good book reviews can sometimes really draw readers in! Woohoo!
Little White Flower has twenty book reviews! Little Evil God only has three!
The Holy Tree Cult's combat power is not as strong as the Flower Worship Cult's!
That’s about it. After Volume 3, the perspective will mainly focus on Xingmo and the Little Evil God, and the main story... will finally have some substance.
It’s time to sacrifice to the gods and kill them!
The narrative structure of this volume will not be as long as Volume 2. It will be much shorter and the pace will be much faster. After all, the Academy is waiting to be saved.
But the emotional requirements of this volume are quite high, so I have to do more homework and take my time to get the hang of it.
My supervisor has been urging me to finish my graduation project recently, so I have much less time to write. However, I will still maintain the update of 4000 words a day, so you can rest assured.
There are actually more than 20,000 words left.
Well, that’s about it, and here are some random thoughts.
I put this part at the end after I finished writing it, because it may be a bit aggressive. Those who don’t want to read unhappy things can cross it out.
Good thing you didn't leave! Don't blame me if you were infected by the violence!
I haven't been in a very good mood recently... I feel like I'm losing my understanding of the market... or rather, my understanding of some phenomena.
In my eyes, writers should either convey ideas through writing, or write stories that are interesting and attractive to readers to make money, or they should make both bread and poetry, and combine the two into a coherent whole.
I also understand that using some hot topics and elements that stimulate readers in writing is necessary. Even the most interesting soul needs to be wrapped in an attractive shell so that more people can access it.
Although I may not be an author who caters to the mainstream, I have not contracted the problem of many niche authors - contempt for the mainstream.
Readers are always right. Authors write what they want to read. It’s just the difference between buying a house and selling it.
But to be honest, there are so many people who like to watch some stimulating things that violate morality, ethics, and laws.
?
Of course, it is nonsense to talk about toxicity without considering the dosage.
For example, I can accept that others like 2D lolita, accept that others like legal lolita, and understand that others have some fantasies about the lolita creature.
But I really cannot accept using "Lolita" girls who are no more than twelve years old as the subject of creation or YY.
Because I actually have a sister who is about the same age.
