"The sun will eventually set," the old woman squinted, her retina stained with a dim yellow, "but before that, go grab the last ray of light."
"Dang! Dang! Dang!"
When the church bells rang, Vivian's hands trembled subconsciously.
She was wearing a wedding dress, sitting in front of the dressing table, looking at her pale face.
"It's rare to see the Ice Dragon Queen being afraid."
Miriam combed Vivian's hair and looked at her pale face with a smile.
"I'm just nervous," Vivian said, feeling a little uneasy. "Damn, I didn't expect this day to come so soon..."
"There's no rush. I heard from Senior Alice that you were in a hurry to get married." Miriam blinked. "Why are you in such a hurry all of a sudden?"
"Maybe...it's because of what happened recently..."
Yeah, a lot has been happening lately.
After returning from the Corpse Gate, I thought everything would be calm, but in the end, I was met with wave after wave of troubles.
Vivian felt bad about this.
Especially the current situation in the north, she could feel the Caradorans Mountains shaking and ready to collapse at any time.
"I'm afraid I won't have another chance," Vivian murmured. "Oh, maybe I'm overthinking it. We're all so talented, what difficulties can't be overcome..."
"We can't call off the engagement now," Miriam said, helping Vivian fix her hair. "Okay, time to go."
Vivian stood up, took a deep breath, and her ice-blue eyes became much more determined.
"Okay! Let's go!"
Surrounded by her bridesmaids, Vivian walked through the long aisle and arrived at the auditorium.
The sunlight shines through the church's stained glass, making the white marble floor of Xinghai Church colorful. The guests sit neatly in the colorful space, their faces shining.
At the same time Vivian entered the hall, Alice also walked in from the other side. The bridesmaid next to her was Xing Mo, who was wearing a black dress and her dark hair was tied into a ponytail.
Xingmo keenly felt that Senior Alice's hands were shaking. She rarely felt this kind of emotion from her senior, but now she felt it clearly.
Even though they have been together for such a long time, will they still get nervous in such an occasion?
""
Alice and Vivian faced each other, their eyes a little nervous, but firm.
At one side, the priest of Xinghai Church picked up the scriptures, placed them on his chest to show his piety, and then began to recite:
"Dear friends, we are gathered here today to witness this beautiful and graceful vow."
"This will be a sacred union, not of the flesh, not of desire, it is
It was a pure, spiritual union, two souls finding each other in a world blessed by the stars."
"This is a vow and a promise, a promise of sadness and happiness, of health and illness, of the countless possibilities in life, to accept and live through them together."
As the priest recited, the lilies beside the bulletin board bloomed, their crystal petals sparkling in the colorful sunlight.
Xingmo gradually couldn't hear what he was saying. Her eyes fell on the back of the church, where Aurora was sitting, looking ahead.
She saw the little guy's eyes sparkling. Was it anticipation or joy?
Perhaps, she also longs for this day. Which girl doesn’t long to wear a wedding dress?
Xingmo clenched his fists slightly, and seemed to have made up his mind.
Looking up, she saw a brilliant starry sky carved on the dome of the Xinghai Church. It was the light that protected the academy and the world.
That was her fate.
If this time journey made Xingmo realize anything, it was that she was nothing in the true river of destiny.
Everything she worked for was just a part of the closed loop of fate.
The grandeur of fate weighed down on Xingmo's head, making her breathless and even making her fall into nothingness for a while.
But now, she seemed to have grabbed a rope in this torrent.
"...Will you, Miss Vivian?"
"I am willing."
Under the dome, the two girls pressed their lips together, and everyone in the auditorium stood up and applauded. Diana leaned against her husband, crying. Faye jumped up and down with Alice's three sisters. Ruan Lili, who had rushed over from across the ocean, and several little ice dragons cheered. Angelica and the others in the Extraordinary Department joined in the booing. Even the stoic Albus was shouting something. Alya and Bianca leaned against each other, tears welling in their eyes. Professor Ling, a rare expression of excitement, led the Nefera Beta faculty and students in firing fireworks from their wands under the dome. The members of the New White Tower Council also stood up and applauded, completely losing their usual airs.
In such a lively atmosphere, only two people were silent. Xingmo and Aurora walked through the bustling crowd and their eyes met.
Their eyes were very calm. At this moment, they were the only two people who were awake before the holy war came.
...Volume 5 "The Mistakes of Time" Completed...
Frozen Garden - Mortiheim.
Beside the frozen lake in the garden, Father Enoch leaned over and pressed the holy book onto the ice.
His robe was tattered, and golden branches spread out from his back, constantly dissipating in the void.
"The prophets arose as fire, their words burning like torches, revealing things that would take place in the last days, things that have not yet taken place, things hidden and not yet revealed."
Enoch chanted softly, his lips turning purple, his expression remaining serene.
“For it was told me, and it was declared to me, that I should know it beforehand; and I was sent to tell you.”
The gem of truth, taken from the crown of the Dark Elf King and tempered to the extreme by the power of truth, was placed on the holy book and slowly merged into the cover of the book.
"These are but a shadow of things to come; but the reality belongs to the Holy Spirit."
The ice-blue light gradually spread to every corner of the ice lake, and gradually, cracks appeared one after another on the lake surface.
“Now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face.”
Father Enoch took a deep breath, and the golden branches on his body quickly shrank, and then all of them entered the interior of the holy book.
Then he finished his final recitation:
“Now I know in part; but then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.”
"Oh!"
The ice surface shattered, and a pale blue light flowed out from under the ice, lifting the ice inch by inch. Each piece of ice had a square shape, of different heights, like boxes stacked together, creating a beauty of order.
Between the ice blocks, six pairs of black wings slowly spread out, and the girl with black hair and golden eyes opened her eyes, with stars twinkling in her pupils.
Cain took a breath of cold air, the corners of his mouth trembled slightly, and his face still looked a little weak.
She raised her wrist, watching the dragon scales briefly appear and disappear on her arm, and murmured:
"You did it, Enoch."
"Your plan is ingenious enough. Even if Yuechen betrays us, his power will eventually be contained here."
"It shouldn't have been so complicated... It's a pity that the living beings under the stars have suffered for so long..."
Cain shook his head, waded through the icy water to the shore, and stepped onto the shore with his white little feet.
She glanced at Enoch, who was covered in wounds, and murmured:
"Has that saint reached the same height as you?"
“Higher,” Father Enoch replied tersely, “but lower than you.”
"It doesn't matter. You brought me the last piece of the puzzle." Cain smiled quietly. "The Shepherd's String is only missing life, and a complete life will soon be returned to us."
"I'll do as you say." Father Enoch bowed slightly.
Cain walked slowly ashore, feeling the vitality on the shore and feeling his feet stepping into this world again after a thousand years.
This time, it was not a projection, but her real body.
"Now that I'm back, it's time to break the ice."
With his six wings spread out, Cain's figure instantly soared into the sky.
The sky is empty, hanging between the white snow-capped mountains.
The golden eyes quickly scanned the mountain ridge and then landed in the southwest.
If I remember correctly, that's where the winter makes people sleep.
Cain stretched out his hand, tore a piece of night from the air, and condensed it into a pitch-black spear in his hand.
She threw the spear lightly, and with a "boom", the spear cut through the night, sweeping away the darkness in its path and turning into a magnificent black storm.
The pitch-black spear struck the mountain ridge, and in an instant, the thousand-meter-high peak collapsed in the white snow fog, and the roar filled the sky and the earth.
Twisted claws broke through the ice, and will-o'-the-wisp fires lit up on the snowy plain, marching towards the torn corner of Mortiheim.
Mortiheim, the extraordinary tomb that has been frozen for thousands of years, has a corner broken open.
An unprecedented snowstorm will start from here and sweep across the world.
...END...
Volume 5 is finished.
Whoosh! Volume Five also landed smoothly.
It has been a long time since I wrote such a short volume. The story has a single thread, a simple structure, and not many characters. It is mainly used to wrap up the story.
However, since this volume seriously plays with the time structure narrative, it still took some effort.
As for the results, I feel it is quite good. It also recovers the Golden Disaster and Dark Elf lines that were laid out in Volume 1, and Laslan in Volume 2, and also pulls Xiaomo to the Angel.
When playing this kind of story about time and cause and effect, I felt like I was walking on the edge of a cliff with every step, and I didn't want to relax at all. Although it was short, it was written very tightly, and it was a very interesting creative experience overall.
It was also thanks to the fact that I wrote the extra chapter "Little White Flower" to try out the time loop, otherwise this volume might not have been so easy to handle.
What do you think of Volume 5, “The Mistakes of Time”?
With the end of this volume, the next is volume six, which is the final volume. Everyone should be able to see the direction of the plot: Mortiheim, which has been flagged since volume one, is finally about to be opened, and all the story lines are beginning to converge, moving towards the ending of this story in unison.
The final volume should be much longer. I will carefully fill in every hole I have dug and give this story a perfect ending.
I just came back from seeing a psychologist today, so I haven’t written the summary at the end of the book. My life has been too monotonous recently. I need to go out more after I finish writing this book.
This year has been a year of misfortunes. Various small problems have come up, and it is indeed a bit difficult to cope with it, so the update speed is gradually slowing down (although because of the accumulated manuscripts, I still update 4000 words every day).
I won't go into too much detail in this volume-end summary, as Volume 5 is quite short. I'll be focusing my energy on writing Volume 6.
I also hope that everyone will give more suggestions and let me know what you think.
Simply praising someone more is also good! It makes people happy!
As usual, thank you all for reading my book. I hope you find it worthwhile!
See you in Volume 6, "Eye of the Moon"!

The Disaster
"Life is a disaster."
—Aurora Halfgard.
""
"...All ships are loading and entering the target area..."
"Boom!"
The thunder connected the sky and the sea, splashing blood waves a hundred meters away, just like bright red Lycoris radiata blooming on the plain with surging grass.
The Golden Fleet braved the wind and waves, and hundreds of ironclad ships sailed across the sea with unstoppable force.
Behind them, the outline of Machiavelli's empire gradually blurred, becoming a dark spot on the gray horizon.
On the bridge, Marine Archon Aruhes was observing the distant horizon through a telescope.
A magnificent fleet of three-masted sailing ships was breaking through the waves, and their size reached at least a thousand ships.
"Why did those damn pirates gather so many people all at once?" The first mate slapped the windshield on the bridge. "The Immortal Division spent hundreds of years trying to alienate them and control their power, but was it all for nothing?"
"We've all been fooled by the typhoon," Aruhes said, putting down the telescope. "The blood of the Laslan people has always connected them. Fratricide is just a part of their culture of national destruction."
When the sea roared, all the pirates gathered together and united as one.
They twisted themselves into a long, thick rope, stretched straight, and swept wildly across the waves of the sea, destroying everything in its path.
