If you truly want to save these comrades, immediately direct all of the political department's resources into discussions on organizational discipline at the grassroots level. After discussions on organizational discipline begin at the grassroots level, not only will grassroots comrades be learning and discussing, but cadres will also be learning and discussing. I believe that at least some comrades will be able to find the right path through this learning and discussion process and change their previous thinking.
After listening to Zhang Yinghao's words, Li Wei suddenly felt that this was indeed the way things had always been. He also suddenly understood why Chairman Zhang Yinghao kept saying, "Punish the past, punish the future, cure the illness and save the patient." Chairman Zhang Yinghao had always hoped that these comrades would reform. Even if he didn't believe that all of them would become qualified members of the Forward Party through the rectification movement, Zhang Yinghao had never given up on any of them, and he still hoped that they could be saved. In this sense, Li Wei felt that he was completely inferior to Chairman Zhang Yinghao.
Li Wei suddenly realized something: he had been too confrontational during the Rectification Movement, as if those involved in the conspiracy were enemies unless they immediately corrected their mistakes. He even considered using drastic measures to deal with them. Chairman Zhang Yinghao, however, was different. As he had stated in his Rectification directive, "Don't kill any, don't arrest the majority," he had actually been trying to save them, hoping for a "change of heart," waiting for them to "return to the good old ways" and return to the organization's embrace, rather than simply dealing with them and leaving it at that.
After figuring this out, Li Wei let out a long sigh and said respectfully, "Chairman, you are truly a man of great generosity. I wonder if those comrades who were punished can understand your good intentions. They may still be complaining about you, thinking you are just looking for trouble."
Zhang Yinghao gave a wry smile after hearing Li Wei's words. Killing people, being the only one in power, having the final say, and being feared by everyone is certainly satisfying, but what then? The Progressive Party would immediately plunge headlong into a feudal dynasty, and he would quickly become a traitor and a dictator in the eyes of the people. Of course, Zhang Yinghao could establish a "Kim Dynasty," but that's unrealistic for a nation as large as China. China is destined to be a center of the world, destined to participate in the great power game. There's no such thing as a small country with a small population. The "Kim Dynasty" also has the support of China and the Soviet Union, otherwise it would have collapsed long ago.
"I still say that we only resolve public grievances and do not create personal grudges. This matter is not about us fighting against certain comrades. This is meaningless. They did not commit any crimes. The focus of the contradiction in this matter is whether we should implement the concept of the people's revolution, let the grassroots comrades understand it, and fight against the feudal power-sharing ideas of those who compete with us for comrades, and compete with them for the masses. If we just catch these people who are colluding and kill them, don't worry, I can do it. But what's the use? Killing one Longxu Hu, there are still Zhangxu Hu, Lixu Hu, and Wangxu Hu. Killing them all is not enough. Moreover, the people do not understand that this feudal power-sharing idea itself is wrong. Instead, these people will become vulnerable groups and sympathize with them, which will make us more passive. Only when the people leave them will they naturally wither and disappear.
Let me be frustrating. If we can't make the people realize this, and our Party and organization recognize this, even if we kill this group of people, the same thing will happen if another group comes to power. Even if our Party realizes this, if the people don't, the Party will still have problems after this group of people dies. And I can guarantee you, the next group of people who come to power, knowing that our organization will execute them and use brutal means such as physical extermination, will hide deeper than the previous group, dragging more people into the water, and becoming even more corrupt than the previous group.
"Killing a few people will definitely make things better, right?"
"Better? Hehe!"
Zhang Yinghao sneered, "Five hundred years after the Buddha Shakyamuni passed away will be the period of the True Dharma. The next thousand years will be the period of the Dharma-Image Dharma. And after that, the period of the Dharma-Ending Dharma will be. Shakyamuni said that the Dharma-Ending Dharma will be a time when arguments and chanting will occur within our Dharma, the Good Dharma will be lost, and its foundation will be weakened. "Purely enlightened ones! From this time on, even if you shave your hair and beard and wear robes within our Dharma, if you violate the precepts and behave unrighteously, you are falsely called a bhikkhu."
This means that when Buddhism is about to perish, in this turbid and evil world of the five heinous crimes, demons flourish. Demons inhabit the Buddhist community, pretending to be ascetics, and destroy and disrupt the righteous path of Buddhism.
The Shurangama Sutra also states: "The teachings of false teachers are as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River." Various cults, under the banner of Buddhism, practice the evil ways of greed and lust. It also states: "Devils and their followers often deceive sentient beings with rhetoric such as 'the end of the world' and 'natural and man-made disasters.'"
The demon king Mara said: In the Dharma-Ending Age, he will let his demon sons and grandsons wear the Buddha's robes, eat the Buddha's food, and destroy the Buddha's precepts and Dharma.
Up to now, even if our comrades made mistakes, we know what happened at a glance. If we simply killed these people, the comrades we promoted would think of feudalism in their hearts, but talk about the ideas of our people's revolution, but in their actions they would desperately make money, grab power, suppress dissidents, and deceive the people. Even if we endured it all the way,
If a leader only starts to cause trouble after reaching the pinnacle of power, and the entire organization believes that power comes from the top down, then a single leader can easily destroy an organization. Do you think this is possible?"
Li Wei couldn't help but shudder after hearing this horrifying description. It wasn't surprising that one person destroyed the organization. He opened his mouth but couldn't say anything.
Zhang Yinghao looked at Li Wei and continued, "Comrade Li Wei, we need unity within the party, but this does not mean there are no contradictions. Contradictions are eternal.
Perhaps after several decades or even hundreds of years, due to the development of productivity, class contradictions will no longer exist or will no longer be as sharp as the main contradiction. However, the closer we get to that time, the more we need to educate the people and let them know about the party's organizational discipline and organizational
Let the people take the initiative to fight and promote social progress."
"What the Chairman means is to mobilize the grassroots to fight!" Li Wei asked.
"That's right, not just you and me, anyone can't do anything without the support of the grassroots. Do a good job in the ideological work at the grassroots level, and then rectify the middle and high-level
If grassroots comrades recognize the mistakes of forming small groups, then we can rectify the problem of collusion between middle and high-level leaders, which will be a natural progression.
If grassroots comrades all knew that we, the Forward Party and the Revolutionary Army, could not abuse or scold them, then who among the middle and higher-ups would dare to do so? If the grassroots understood that feudalism harmed the interests of the majority of comrades, then the middle and higher-ups would naturally lose their support. Therefore, in the final analysis, if we want to fundamentally solve the problem, we must first gain the understanding and support of grassroots comrades, and then address the problems of the middle and higher-ups. Otherwise, it will easily turn into a melee.
Li Wei continued, "Chairman, this takes up far too much time and energy, and places great demands on our Party. If the middle and senior leadership, like those in the Dharma Ending Age, only pay lip service to the doctrine while pretending to be practitioners and sabotaging the righteous path of Buddhism, what should we do?"
Zhang Yinghao, unfazed by Li Wei's concerns, spoke Taizu's true words. "Comrade Li Wei, we must trust the people. They see things clearly. Of course, we are on the most arduous path, and it will naturally require countless hours and efforts. If at any point the people are willing to be parasites, be bribed, and become degenerate, then we can rest and no longer need to fight. No one can wake someone who pretends to be asleep."
After saying this, Zhang Yinghao suddenly remembered a poem by Taizu, so he picked up his pen and started writing.
Li Wei saw Zhang Yinghao writing a poem and he leaned over to read it: "Sun Wukong Defeats the White Bone Demon Three Times"
When thunder and lightning rise from the earth, spirits will be born, and bones will pile up. A monk may be a fool, but a demon who is the master of ghosts will bring disaster. The golden monkey raises his thousand-pound stick, and the jade sky clears the dust for thousands of miles. Today we cheer for Sun Wukong, only because the evil fog has returned.
After reading it, Li Wei realized that this was a story from Journey to the West. He thought for a moment before saying, "Chairman, this is a little different from what you said. It's filled with murderous intent!"
Zhang Yinghao didn't respond to Li Wei's question. Instead, he said, "Li Wei, if we compare communism to obtaining the true scriptures, who do you think is actually most eager to obtain the true scriptures?"
"Tang Monk most hopes to obtain the true scriptures." "Then who does Tang Monk represent?"
"Uh~ Chairman, if you ask that, then Tang Sanzang can only be the common people." "Yes, Tang Sanzang is the common people, so who are our Progressive Party?" "Haha, Chairman, the Progressive Party is naturally Sun Wukong."
"Haha, you, that's why you keep having those thoughts you had before, always thinking that our Forward Party is spotless. You all think too highly of the Forward Party. In fact, Zhu Bajie, Sha Seng, and Sun Wukong are all Forward Party members. Could Sun Wukong alone protect Tang Sanzang on his journey and send him to the West to obtain the scriptures? Don't look at Zhu Bajie, who is greedy and lustful, and always wants to break up the group. He wants Sun Wukong to return to Huaguo Mountain to be his mountain king, while he goes back to Gao Laozhuang to marry and have children, and wants Sha Seng to return to the Flowing Sand River to eat people. Don't look at Sha Seng's lack of ability. He is usually quiet and honest, without any opinions, and always looks like he is willing to work hard. And there is the white dragon horse. Apart from carrying Tang Sanzang, he has nothing to do the rest of the time. However, without the three of them, with Sun Wukong's lively personality, if Tang Sanzang were to be carried alone by Sun Wukong, he would be tormented to death by Sun Wukong."
"Haha, Chairman, you've really put it so vividly!"
"Image? That's the truth. Look at Sun Wukong. He can easily somersault across 100,000 miles, and in the blink of an eye, he disappears, forcing Tang Sanzang to search for him all over the world. How could Tang Sanzang catch up with Sun Wukong? As soon as Sun Wukong leaves, Tang Sanzang will be bewitched by monsters or even eaten. If we also compare Zhu Bajie and Sha Wujing to our Forward Party, then the story is complete, and the great cause of communism can be accomplished.
Although we don't particularly like people like Zhu Bajie and Sha Wujing—see, there are plenty of them now, colluding, hindering, and saying strange things—we still have to tolerate them. Imagine if Sun Wukong disliked Bajie and Sha Wujing and beat them to death with a stick. Guanyin Bodhisattva would still have to find helpers for Sun Wukong. Would the helpers she found be better than Zhu Bajie and Sha Wujing? I don't think so. She might find something like the White Bone Demon. She can transform into a child, a woman, or an old lady, but her essence remains the same: she's just a demon. Who would be safe letting the White Bone Demon accompany Tang Sanzang on his journey? Sun Wukong would turn around and Tang Sanzang would be in her stomach.
So no matter what shortcomings Zhu Bajie has, or what deficiencies Sha Seng has, we still have to tolerate them. They too have suffered, and at least we know them inside and out, knowing they can still accompany Tang Sanzang on his journey to the West to obtain the scriptures. They won't easily eat Tang Sanzang. They might say bad things about Sun Wukong to Tang Sanzang, make false accusations, spread rumors, or even complain in an attempt to get Tang Sanzang and Sun Wukong to give up on the journey to the West to obtain the scriptures, but as long as Sun Wukong continues to fight them, beating them when he deserves, scolding them when he deserves, and keeping them under control, they won't dare to act too recklessly and will continue to follow the team obediently.
What's the point of our organizational discipline and principles? As long as they don't do anything to harm Tang Sanzang, we'll continue to unite with them while also fighting against them. Therefore, organizational discipline is used to restrain Zhu Bajie, Sha Seng, and the White Dragon Horse, ensuring that the team doesn't fall apart and keeps moving forward.
We also need the Fiery Eyes of the Golden Universe. What are these? They represent our revolutionary ideals and principles, our communist ideals. They are the means by which we can expose all the demons and monsters that stand in our way. Our laws and regulations are our weapon, the golden cudgel. Wielding this cudgel, we sweep away all demons and monsters, cleansing the universe. Is that enough? There's one more thing we can't do without: the golden hoop on Sun Wukong's head. The golden hoop ensures that even the mighty Sun Wukong stays by Tang Sanzang's side, protecting him. It keeps him from disappearing, advancing recklessly, or harassing him. If Sun Wukong disappears for too long, Zhu Bajie and Sha Wujing will have no idea where they've led Tang Sanzang, or what monster's mouth they've snuck him into.
Chapter 240: Thanks for the update!
At this point, Zhang Yinghao suddenly realized that the WG was actually meant to put a tight rein on the privileged and bureaucratic elites, to prevent them from engaging in such absurd and chaotic activities as the Great Leap Forward. It was meant to keep them from becoming detached from the masses, to stop them from messing with them, and to ensure they would honestly join the masses in the march toward communism.
The more I think about it, the more I feel that this is the case. The party won the world, just like the monkey who just came out from the Five Finger Mountain. After a lot of effort, he turned over and defeated a tiger monster. He felt that his ability was still there and he was still invincible. Sun Wukong naturally started to do evil things immediately, and even started to be a traitor. He forgot the kindness of Tang Sanzang who saved him and did not take Tang Sanzang seriously at all. Tang Sanzang said that the two of them
When Sun Wukong finally calmed down, it was only after he was given the golden hoop and tortured by Tang Seng repeatedly that he finally calmed down and accepted Tang Seng as the leader of the Journey to the West team.
Thinking of this, Zhang Yinghao continued: "So those of us who feel that we have
The most powerful person is Sun Wukong, but Sun Wukong is not the leader of the Journey to the West team. The real leader is actually the cowardly, weak, and mortal Tang Monk. Only Tang Monk is determined and insists on obtaining the scriptures. You see, Sun Wukong seems to be indispensable to everything, shining brightly, charging into battle, busying around, and exorcising demons, but Sun Wukong is still just a guardian.
Even without Sun Wukong and his companions, Tang Sanzang would still have gone on a journey to obtain the scriptures, and he would have never regretted it until his death.
"Haha, Mr. Chairman, this Tang Monk is really hard to serve. He always causes trouble. He often doesn't listen to Sun Wukong's advice, and always blames Sun Wukong afterwards. When will this end?"
Zhang Yinghao understood Li Wei's meaning, nodded, and smiled, saying, "Haha, Tang Sanzang's flesh? Who lets the people have such a huge benefit? Just scrape it off and you'll get a thick layer of oil and water. That's why our poem says that even though monks are fools, they can still be taught. After suffering enough losses, the people will always learn their lessons. But the road to communism is full of obstacles, difficulties, and temptations, and there are always new problems. Sun Wukong is naturally not easy to do. And there is also Zhu Bajie who thinks he is very capable but has no ability, and Sha Seng who has no opinion and even helps the tyrant. How can it be so easy? But as long as Zhu Bajie and Sha Seng don't want to eat Tang Sanzang, then their mistakes are costs we must bear. As long as they are like-minded, they still have the will, and they haven't left our team, there is no need to use drastic measures. Well, there's no need to think too much. We can just do it now."
Li Wei glanced at the recorder and said, "Chairman, I understand. Could you please copy down what you just said and send it to our Political Department along with this poem so that all our party members can learn from it. All members of the Forward Party should know that we must not only fight the enemy, but also the decadent and backward tendencies within our ranks, such as Zhu Bajie and Sha Seng."
Zhang Yinghao listened, nodded and said, "Okay, I'll arrange for someone to send it to you later."
"Okay, Chairman, I'll go arrange the grassroots work now!"
As he walked out the door, Li Wei realized he might still have to postpone his grassroots work a bit. Since Li Wei had already recognized his own problems, and since these problematic comrades hadn't yet quit the Party and were still his comrades, there were many comrades in the Political Department who shared his strong oppositional mentality. They were also wrong and needed to correct their mistakes. They all lacked Chairman Zhang Yinghao's patience and tolerance, and even less did they possess the thinking that was grounded in that patience and tolerance.
Upon returning to the Political Department, Li Wei convened a Party Committee meeting. After recounting his discussion with Zhang Yinghao on this issue and the events surrounding the Journey to the West team, Li Wei said, "Comrades, this world isn't just about good and bad people. Killing all the bad won't leave only good people. The same person, faced with different situations and analyzed from different perspectives, will have different results. When Chairman Zhang Yinghao led us in the revolution, these comrades who have made mistakes were once our good comrades. Can you say they've become bad people now? We can't make that judgment."
As Chairman Mao said, during the Journey to the West, comrades like Zhu Bajie and Sha Seng spoke ill of Sun Wukong to Tang Sanzang, making some slanderous remarks and clamoring to break up. Did Sun Wukong abandon Zhu Bajie and the others? Could he expel Zhu Bajie and the others from the group or kill them with a single blow? I don't think so. Therefore, we must fight against comrades like Zhu Bajie and Sha Seng. As long as they don't harm Tang Sanzang or commit any illegal or criminal acts, then these remain our internal contradictions. Chairman Mao stated in his On Contradiction: Intra-Party contradictions should be resolved through criticism and self-criticism.
So these comrades are actually the same as before; it's just that with the development of the base areas, with the growth and progress of our Party, they've begun to fall behind. Chairman Mao said that achieving communism is like climbing a mountain; after we've climbed a certain distance, they've fallen behind. They see us running too fast and think it's wrong. We despise them for running too slowly, but we can't abandon them. We must encourage them, help them, and help them catch up. So we can't simply write these comrades off and say they're bad people now. That doesn't align with the materialist view of history; it's not a materialist approach.
Li Wei's words made most of the comrades fall into thought. Seeing everyone's expressions, Li Wei knew that he had to give the comrades time to digest and absorb the ideas. He stopped talking about this topic and immediately began to arrange the next work: "Today, the political commissar and acting commander of the Sixth Regiment came to me and said that they planned to introduce the office of the revolutionary army.
I think this is a very good way to teach and discuss organizational principles and discipline.
Starting tomorrow, every unit must start organizing discipline study and discussion. Every soldier and every comrade must participate in it.
We reached a consensus. Our organizational principles and organizational discipline are the sole criteria for judging our Forward Party and our revolutionary army. This standard applies to new recruits, Chairman Zhang, and every one of us. This is the ironclad discipline of our Forward Party.
Now most of the comrades were in high spirits and began to listen carefully to Li Wei's arrangements. However, Li Wei had already made up his mind at this time. He would start the rectification work seriously in the political department. The current political department was not the comrades'
All members in charge of political work are qualified. Many comrades have fallen behind the pace of many teams and need to be recharged.
You just need some training and study.
"Master Long, this is what we will learn today."
A guard placed a study document in front of Long Xuhu, commander of the Sixth Division. It was freshly printed and smelled of fresh ink. Long Xuhu took the document, glanced at it, and said to the guard, "You can leave first."
"yes!"
The relationship between the guards and the leaders was not good during this period, and there were many conflicts. They had all been trained again and knew what was going on. They didn't care about the change in Long Xuhu's attitude at all. They remained the same, answered yes, saluted and turned to leave.
Watching the guard leave, Long Xuhu let out a soft sigh, feeling the pressure in his heart suddenly ease. These days, Long Xuhu had tried to keep the guards away from him as much as possible, only this way could he feel better. Facing someone who had been openly stationed beside him, ready to be assassinated at any moment, he simply couldn't face it calmly.
After several incidents of conflict between officers and subordinates or soldiers, in which the guards refused to carry out orders or even obstructed the officers' actions, the officers became aware that the guards were effectively subordinate to the "Political Security Department." The requirement that the guards be managed by the Political Security Department was a rule established by Chairman Zhang Yinghao when he established the military, and Longxu Hu hadn't given it much thought at the time. He hadn't really thought much of it, even considering the guards, who were assigned to him and didn't need to worry about them, to be truly considerate. However, after studying a lot and reading a lot of books, he understood that this was a lack of trust in him. Longxu Hu felt that Zhang Yinghao was "too distrustful" of his comrades.
If Zhang Yinghao heard Long Xuhu's inner thoughts, he would probably say directly: "If you trust me, you shouldn't have doubts. If you don't trust me yourself, why should I trust you? Don't talk to me about trust, such hurtful words."
For thousands of years, officials' guards have been their trusted confidants, their trusted loyalists. But now, these supposedly "close friends" have become "other people's people." This can't help but make many officials feel apprehensive and cautious, as if they're treading on thin ice.
I flipped through the study materials and found an article titled "Hand in Hand, Forward, Common Progress" signed by Zhang Yinghao on the first page. This is a recent trend: the Political Department is vigorously promoting grassroots education, with commanders going to the grassroots to study and discuss organizational principles and discipline. Zhang Yinghao also continuously wrote articles to promote ideological and political education throughout the Party and the Army.
Hu Longxu was one of Zhang Yinghao's first comrades rescued from Shaanxi. He had always been Zhang Yinghao's comrade and was one of the earliest Party members. He knew his own level and was no match for Zhang Yinghao in terms of writing and reasoning. It was obvious that Zhang Yinghao would again demand that everyone abide by organizational discipline, adhere to organizational principles, work hard, and study diligently.
Longxu Hu felt that Chairman Zhang Yinghao's demands were far too high. On the one hand, he was promoting education at the grassroots level, encouraging comrades to take time off to study, yet on the other hand, he didn't slack off at all. Despite the overwhelming workload, he continued to work tirelessly, with minimal allowances. What kind of situation was this? Even the donkeys in the cooperative couldn't handle this. Although he didn't even know there was a term for death from overwork, he was still trying to force the horse to work without eating grass.
It had been nearly twenty days since the Lunar New Year, and Zhang Yinghao had been writing articles on this subject. Long Xuhu himself was growing tired of it, and faced with the study tasks before him, he didn't even want to read them. Closing his study document, Long Xuhu simply leaned back in his chair and began to think.
As a native of Shaanxi, Longxu Hu, like Zhao Liang, has always valued loyalty. While his family wasn't a family of swordsmen, the harsh living conditions honed his abilities. In Shaanxi, one simply couldn't get by without loyalty. In fact, loyalty is valued not only in Shaanxi but also in the south. How could those secret societies gather so many people without loyalty? Yet, Chairman Zhang Yinghao recently used propaganda to label his comrades "factionalism" for "loyalty." This forced connection between loyalty and clique-building must have disappointed Longxu Hu. Why was Longxu Hu so successful in the engineering corps? It was because of his loyalty. He was willing to take the blame for his comrades' mistakes. Geng Biao and his colleagues were completely obedient to him, and they wouldn't hesitate to do anything he asked them to do.
But what happens now? They're suspended and fired, and when they make a mistake, not only are they told to take responsibility, but they're also suspended for study and to dig deep into the root causes. What's going on? Comrades have worked so hard to become cadres, it's so difficult, but because of a few mistakes, all their previous achievements are wasted. They are also asked to admit their mistakes in front of their subordinates, which is embarrassing for the whole family. Shouldn't they at least save some face? How can they lead the team and work in the future? People live by their reputation, and trees live by their bark. Without face, no one will listen to them anymore.
But Longxu Hu himself couldn't bring himself to express this. He knew he was no match for Zhang Yinghao in terms of reasoning. Furthermore, Zhang Yinghao never resorted to crooked arguments; when he presented a broad principle, Longxu Hu couldn't respond. But who doesn't know the broad principle? The key is for comrades to show mutual understanding!
Chapter 241:
Many cadres are now facing the rectification movement with trepidation and are exhausted.
Hard labor, this is simply treating people like animals. Is this the result that Chairman Zhang Yinghao wants? Thinking of this, Longxu Hu felt weak all over.
As a division commander, he still had a lot of work to do. If everyone came out to oppose him, what work would he still be able to do? After completing his own work, he still had to worry about protecting his comrades. He suddenly felt a sense of despair. He worked so hard for something, but no one understood him. Everything he had done seemed worthless. What was the point of all his hard work?
Just as Long Xuhu was sighing, complaining and thinking about random things, he heard a knock on the door.
Longxu Hu quickly calmed down, straightened his clothes, and shouted, "Come in."
Long Xuhu looked up and saw the guard pushing the door open. He immediately showed a trace of disgust on his face. Then he heard the guard say, "Commander, Commander Chen Dajie is here. Do you want to see him?"
Chen Dajie was a subordinate of Longxu Hu and a close confidant like Geng Biao. Longxu Hu replied: "Let him in."
Chen Dajie came in, his face clearly filled with excitement. As soon as the guard left, Chen Dajie said happily, "Commander Long, I heard a piece of news. There's been a commotion in Gao Dasheng's Sixth Regiment."
When Longxu Hu heard Gao Dasheng and the others were arguing, he immediately cheered up. After Geng Biao was suspended, it was Gao Dasheng who took over. Gao Dasheng was an airborne cadre, and although he met with Longxu Hu frequently, Longxu Hu still didn't like him at all. Gao Dasheng had a tough personality and a temperament that he didn't like. He had hinted at several times, but Gao Dasheng ignored him directly. He didn't know if he was really unaware of this unspoken rule or if he was pretending not to understand.
Longxu Hu also didn't like Chen Dajie very much. He thought Chen Dajie was a person of low character, but Chen Dajie had always stood by him, so he promoted him. Now there were not many people willing to stand by him, and Chen Dajie was one of them.
"what happened?"
"Haha, they were talking about organizational discipline before, and now they're talking about mass supervision. They're holding a discussion meeting and asking the soldiers in the regiment to give their opinions. Many comrades in their regiment are very dissatisfied with the bonus plan before the New Year, feeling that it's unfair. Many soldiers plan to bring it up at the meeting tonight. I think there's going to be some fun."
Long Xuhu knew that the Sixth Regiment was the first to transfer the military's learning system to the Engineering Corps. When Long Xuhu left the army, this system hadn't yet been implemented, but the meetings were nothing new. Back when Zhang Yinghao founded the Revolutionary Army, there were many meetings within the army. As a subordinate at that time, Long Xuhu had attended many of them, but it was mostly Zhang Yinghao who spoke, and the others just listened. After joining the Engineering Corps, working every day, he had put many of these things aside. Hearing the term "Master's Meeting" again, Long Xuhu couldn't help but feel a sense of distant memory.
"waste time."
Brainstorming meetings like the Master of Ming meeting are incredibly time-consuming. If the moderator is incompetent, the topic isn't clear, and the time is insufficient, discussions can lead to no conclusions and no gains for everyone. It's better to just go back to sleep and get more work done. Longxu Hu couldn't remember how long it had been since he'd attended a Master of Ming meeting. Furthermore, Master of Ming meetings are easily interrupted, especially when important work is involved. The constant grind leaves no one free to attend. After a few of these, Master of Ming meetings become mere formalities, and he becomes annoyed by them, feeling they're a waste of time and completely useless.
Longxu Hu was able to become the division commander and survived two transfers. Naturally, he had good abilities. He definitely had no problems doing his job. He glanced at Chen Dajie and asked, "Anything else?"
Seeing that his report didn't please his division commander, Chen Dajie didn't dare to boast about it. He quickly said, "Division Commander Long, I just heard the news and reported it to you immediately. I don't know if it's any use to you. If I hear anything else, I will report it to you as soon as possible."
Longxu Hu also saw through Chen Dajie and said angrily, "What time is it now? How dare you be so disrespectful? Captain Chen, you are the captain of an entire regiment. The work is so intense right now, you should be on the construction site more often to watch over it and avoid giving anyone else any leverage."
"Don't worry, Commander Long. Hehe, I've arranged everything perfectly. The mission has already been issued, so there will be absolutely no problem."
Longxu Hu knew that Chen Dajie liked to report to him so much. Isn't this just a way to avoid work? Does he really think others don't know? Moreover, reporting to the superiors is the best way to shirk responsibility. He wants to work, but the leader calls him, so there is nothing he can do. How can a subordinate go against his superiors just for work?
Longxu Hu had recently read a lot of foreign management books and knew how to use these people, using them as a weapon when needed, or even using them as scapegoats when necessary. The specific use of them depended on the purpose to be achieved at the time.
The Sixth Regiment has already learned the organizational discipline, but Gao Dasheng still underestimated the learning ability of the engineering corps. They need to deal with various things and have a foundation of cultural courses. They have gone through the content to be learned in just over ten days. The speed is very fast. Of course, this is still under the condition of working, otherwise the time will be even shorter.
After studying the rules, they decided to discuss the distribution plan from the previous year again. They planned to hold a meeting of the owners to find out what was wrong with it. Unexpectedly, this stirred up a hornet's nest.
"Haha, Political Commissar, I didn't expect that the distribution plan from the previous year would still have such a big reaction from the comrades."
"Commander, what do you think? There are more than one or two people still learning about this. You don't understand the situation at the time. The plan discussed by the upper echelons actually had nothing to do with the comrades below. Although Chairman Zhang Yinghao also came to the construction site at the time, he didn't understand the situation inside. The allocation plan was developed by us, the division commanders, political commissars, and regimental commanders. Perhaps some people asked the comrades at the grassroots level, but whether there was a problem with the concentration of the inscription masters, only God knows."
"So you didn't ask then?"
Gu Beiguo smiled sheepishly and said, "If I hadn't heard that the Chairman was coming, the distribution plan might have been even more crude, and the objections might have been even greater. I really didn't ask the lowest level at the time. I only asked a few company commanders and instructors. Now it seems that there are indeed serious problems. I have been in this engineering corps from the beginning. I have only participated in the soldiers' committee, not in this kind of master discussion meeting. I have never presided over a master meeting of your revolutionary army, so I don't know how to do it specifically?"
"It's very simple. The meeting only discusses one thing: how to work. So, first, we discuss how to complete the work better and more easily. Second, we discuss various problems encountered at work and then discuss solutions. Ultimately, it all comes down to science, the Master, and the workers."
"It seems I can give you my position as political commissar."
"Don't say that. We're just learning from each other. While we sometimes rely on individuals, we primarily rely on the organization. After all, individual energy and ability are limited."
"Yes, simply talking about the 'Three Disciplines and Eight Points for Attention' is easier for people to accept. And after Comrade Geng Biao and others were removed from their posts for study due to conflicts, the cadres are now more obedient. Talking about labor and how to work better is also very smooth, as long as the principles are explained clearly. But as soon as you talk about distribution, all kinds of contradictions arise."
"Haha, this is what the Chairman said: more people means more work, fewer people mean more food. Distribution is a zero-sum game, so we have to be fair, which is difficult."
"There is no absolute fairness. Egalitarianism is actually more unfair."
As Gao Dasheng and Gu Beiguo had anticipated, after the issue of "labor and equality" had been explained to the comrades, some began to raise questions, some even somewhat unreasonable. Gu Beiguo, who had been working in the newly formed Engineering Corps and had never participated in such a discussion-based grassroots leadership meeting, observed the intense tension between the cadres and soldiers, with a strong tendency towards tit-for-tat. He simply glanced at Regimental Commander Gao Dasheng but remained silent. Gao Dasheng didn't see anything wrong with this. Chairman Zhang Yinghao had long ago stated in his articles that a small group of cadres was no match for the united masses.
"Why do some people who don't have to put in any effort get more rewards than them?" "Why are the cadres rarely seen working, but when the rewards are distributed, they get just as much, or even more?"
As soon as these questions were raised, the comrades immediately reacted with a huge response. Emotions immediately flared, and they kept clamoring for the cadres to reveal what they had been doing. It boiled down to two main points: first, they wanted to know if the cadres were slacking off. Second, they wanted to know which positions offered the most rewards and the easiest work.
Labor always seems to be a source of distaste. How many people in the world truly enjoy working hard to earn a living? Those who work physically always envy those who work in offices. Just like someone said, "God bless you to study medicine!" And truly, those who say that are truly bless you. While studying medicine takes a lot of time and investment, it's a high-paying profession, one that doesn't require worrying about food or unemployment. As long as people exist, there will be people who get sick and need doctors. Therefore, doctors and teachers offer truly secure jobs, relying on technical skills and a satisfying atmosphere.
Of course, normal issues will also lead to strange remarks. Faced with these questions, some comrades said: "We've said before that we oppose absolute egalitarianism. Of course, cadres and soldiers cannot be treated equally!"
In fact, everyone knows what he means by listening to his tone, that is, the power of distribution is not in their own hands, the cadres hold the power of distribution, naturally
It would not be fair, after all, everyone wants to get more points. Many comrades laughed out loud after hearing this answer. Although they did not say anything, they had already expressed their agreement.
