Half an hour later, Haniyev lay on the bed, gasping for breath. Tatyana lay on his chest and asked, "Who did you call that took so long?"
"Potanin, Vyshevsky, Poroshenko and the others, we have a share of their business. I have to ask them now that I'm back, right?"
Tatiana nodded and said, "Our family is not short of money. You have a bright political future, but don't just think about making money."
"Don't worry, I'm already a state-level official. My salary is more than enough to support our family, not to mention the dividends from Rosen Imaging and First Mining. You'll definitely be worried in the future."
"Worried? What are you worried about?"
"I'm worried about how to spend all the money at home."
The couple joked for a while and then fell asleep in each other's arms.
The next morning, Haniyev had breakfast with his family and then drove to the headquarters of the Ukrainian People's Movement Committee in Kyiv.
After an absence of about a month, Haniyev's visit was warmly welcomed by the entire committee. Although some members went to Lutsk to build the Western Committee, the headquarters in Kiev could not stop operating.
Haniyev learned about the latest developments of the Ukrainian people's movement in the past month and read the contents of the recent issues of "People's Daily". He found that the development of the people's movement had stopped, and the newspaper content no longer criticized the Gorbachev-style reforms, but focused on studying the contents of the second volume of the history of Ukrainian national development, that is, Haniyev's "Territorial Radiation Theory of the Kievan Rus Period."
According to Haniyev, during the Kievan Rus period, all directly affiliated territories and vassal states belonged to the Kievan Rus civilization. This can be supported by the relics and cultural relics of various states, in order to prove that the current Ukraine is the successor of the ancient Kievan Rus, indicating that the establishment of the Ukrainian nation and the Ukrainian state was undoubtedly the earliest.
After seeing the well-reasoned and convincing articles written by many academic leaders based on their own viewpoints, Haniyev nodded with satisfaction. "These articles are well-written. Our People's Daily is a weather vane of Ukrainian national culture. We must ensure the quality of each issue... and increase the royalties appropriately..."
Drake and others nodded when they heard this, and then began to report the recent situation to Haniyev in detail.
Because Sherbitsky is now in power in Ukraine, Haniyev can only support Sherbitsky both publicly and privately and will not launch a people's movement again. Therefore, the Ukrainian People's Movement, a political organization, has also stopped its fierce anti-reform movement and instead focused its energy on promoting and improving Ukrainian national history.
Although Sherbitsky had never supported Ukrainian nationalism before, the situation had changed. He knew that the Soviet Union had become riddled with problems due to Gorbachev's reforms, and the rise of national forces was inevitable. Therefore, he had told Haniyev long ago to control the Ukrainian national forces and ensure that they would not develop into separatist and independent forces.
Haniyev agreed very readily and indeed guided the development direction of the Ukrainian people's movement. He was not fooling Sherbitsky. For Haniyev, a member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union who was determined to let Ukraine get more inheritance than the original historical line after the disintegration of the Soviet Union, not actively demanding secession and independence and recognizing the legitimacy and greatness of the Soviet period was the first step to ensuring that Ukraine had a strong foundation after its independence.
As the situation develops, the disintegration of the Soviet Union is about to come. At that time, national independence elements in various countries will emerge. No matter what choice Ukraine makes, it cannot change the fact of independence. It is better to use the existence of a "Soviet remnant" to harvest a wave of "Soviet people" who support the existence of the Soviet Union. This is the best choice Ukraine can make in the current era. After all, as the base camp of the Ukrainian gang and conservatives, Ukraine can reasonably and legitimately become a "Soviet remnant."
Speaking to Drak and other committee leaders, Haniyev pointed out: "The Ukrainian nation is the oldest and greatest nation in Eastern Europe. From Kievan Rus to the Cossack Hetmanate, the Ukrainian People's Republic, and the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, we are of the same origin, with a long history and splendid culture. Throughout history, we have lost our sovereignty many times, and have been ruled by the Poles and Russians for hundreds of years, and Ukraine has also been divided for hundreds of years...
The great comrade Lenin liberated the Russians and Ukrainians. We came together for a common goal and established a great alliance...
Gorbachev's reforms have been underway for five years, but the current situation in the Soviet Union has not improved. Many republics are clamoring for national independence. We, Ukraine, as the founders of the Soviet Union, should not be influenced by chaotic thinking. We must have our own backbone. We must have national confidence and faith. Our ancestors and fathers sacrificed their lives for the liberation of all mankind, for victory in World War II, and for the construction of our great motherland. We must acknowledge all the achievements of our nation's history, especially the Kievan Rus' period, the Cossack Hetman period, and the republican period from 1917 to the present..."
In Haniyev's latest instructions, his new requirement for the Ukrainian people's movement is to organize the relics and cultural relics across the country, excavate and sort out the Ukrainian national history buried in the dust of history, and then compile and organize it according to the inheritance lineage he has established, forming a complete national historical view since ancient times that covers all of Ukraine's territories and independence history.
Last year, Haniyev's "History of the Development of the Ukrainian Nation" was just a small test, an attempt to shape the Ukrainian national historical view, and the result was surprisingly successful. For Ukrainians who have always been vague about their national history, Haniyev's national historical view was deeply rooted in the hearts of the people as soon as it appeared, and attracted the recognition of countless Ukrainians.
However, due to the political situation at the time and Haniyev's identity, the "History of the Development of the Ukrainian Nation" he concocted did not contain any remarks on national independence, and he also used a Spring and Autumn style to describe the history of Ukrainian national independence. Especially when it came to the modern years, he adopted a conciliatory approach.
It was not until several months of collective research by the Ukrainian People's Movement Committee that Haniyev's final draft of "History of the Development of the Ukrainian Nationality" was completed, and the vague view of modern history gradually became clear.
Haniyev promoted Mikhail Sergeyevich Grushevsky, a great Ukrainian intellectual who led the Ukrainian people to independence and established the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Ukrainian People's Republic against Tsarist Russia, and regarded him as a non-communist revolutionary. He then elevated Ukraine under the leadership of Mikhail Sergeyevich Grushevsky to the status of an advanced force in the resistance against Tsarist Russia, just like the Ukrainian Soviet.
Ensure that Ukraine's modern history will not be schizophrenic.
However, in order to ensure the legitimacy of the Soviet Union, Haniyev still continued some of the Soviet Union's historical views. In "History of the Development of the Ukrainian Nationality", he evaluated that after the Petliura gang led the Ukrainian People's Republic, the originally advanced Ukrainian regime quickly became corrupt and degenerate, and the Ukrainian Soviet regime gained legitimacy. Not only did it unify the entire territory of Ukraine, but Mikhail Sergeyevich Grushevsky also joined the Soviet Union.
The previous success of "History of the Development of the Ukrainian Nation" gave Haniyev great confidence. After learning about the history of the Vladimir-Volyn Principality in Volyn, he decided to write the second part of "History of the Development of the Ukrainian Nation" in order to complete and establish the national history content that was not written in the first book, and to fully establish the Ukrainian national historical view without leaving any ambiguity or generality. It is necessary to establish national confidence for the Ukrainians through a complete and independent Ukrainian national historical view, to ensure that after the disintegration of the Soviet Union and Ukraine's independence two years later, tens of millions of Ukrainians will not suffer from ideological collapse and the possibility of complete Westernization.
Inspired by Kievan Rus and the Vladimir-Volyn Principality, Haniyev, after in-depth research on the history of Kievan Rus, has come up with a way to lay the foundation for the Ukrainian national historical view, which is to emulate the Khitan's Chinese concept and shape a "Rus concept" in Ukraine.
The Khitan nation was formed during the Huaxia period, and the real core of the so-called Huaxia period was the Xia, Shang and Zhou dynasties, and the most important of them was the Zhou Dynasty, which advocated "All under heaven is the king's land, and all the people in the world are the king's subjects."
It was the Zhou Dynasty that abolished the Shang Dynasty's backward customs of human sacrifice and communication with gods, and instead adopted ritual and music education to deeply root the people's hearts. Only then did Chinese civilization usher in its first wave of glory.
Kievan Rus was founded in the 9th century, developed in the 10th century, and disappeared in the 12th century. After that, Eastern Europe entered a period of chaos and war.
Strictly speaking, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, etc. are all descendants of Kievan Rus, but from a geographical point of view, Ukraine does have the most advantageous legal basis to inherit Kievan Rus. However, Ukraine's national historical view was not established until forty years later. Instead, Kievan Rus became the highest legal system of Russia recognized by the Russian historical community.
Debate is a very important part of the struggle between civilizations. If the statement that Russia is the successor of Kievan Rus is recognized, then both Ukraine and Belarus will be part of Russia, and Russia's bunker boys will have reasons and excuses to invade these countries.
However, if Ukraine is the orthodox successor of Kievan Rus, and can establish the orderly inheritance of Kievan Rus and the Ukrainian nation, and clarify the inheritance and decline of the nation, territory and subsequent civilization, then Kievan Rus will belong exclusively to Ukraine, and Russia and Belarus can only be the descendants of Kievan Rus's affiliated civilizations.
What Haniyev has to do now is to prepare for the future debates between Ukraine and Russia, and to ensure that Ukrainian national culture is unique, rigorous, complete and impeccable.
Chapter 243 Ross Concept
After Haniyev proposed the "Russ Concept", members of the Ukrainian People's Movement Committee were all surprised.
This concept of commanding the supreme will of the nation has never appeared in Europe before. If the British knew how to use the "Viking and Norman logic" to unify the national consciousness of Great Britain, instead of petty-mindedly waving the banner of "Anglo-Saxon", the separatism of Ireland and Scotland would definitely be eliminated in the long river of history.
You have to know that the Anglo-Saxons and Normans are both descendants of the Viking Germans. There are differences between them, but they were not very big back then. If they wanted to unify the British Isles, they did not find a great dynasty whose power covered the three islands and even the European continent and was regarded as orthodox, but had to divide them according to several ethnic groups such as the Anglo-Saxons and Celts. This petty self-division made it impossible for the British Empire to unify its national consciousness even if it became more powerful.
The situation in the UK is also the same in most European countries, including France, Spain, Germany, etc. This is because they lack the will for national unification.
The Rus concept is to transform the actual largest territory of Kievan Rus and its vassal states (even if nominal) into Rus civilization, and then the Cossack Hetmanate, the Ukrainian People's Republic and the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic are the legal heirs of Rus civilization.
The establishment of the Rus civilization represents the legitimate rights of Ukraine as an independent nation and country, and even the only orthodoxy of the Rus civilization in Eastern Europe. Russia can only be a subsidiary civilization of the Rus civilization, just like the Chinese civilization, Goryeo civilization, Yamato civilization, Vietnamese civilization, etc. in the Far East.
No matter how powerful Russia is, as long as Ukraine's "Russ Concept" is established and unanimously agreed upon at home and abroad, the foundation of Ukraine's nation will be as solid as Mount Tai, and Russia will no longer have any reason to shake Ukraine's national independence or annex Ukraine's territory.
Moreover, with the establishment of Ukraine's "Rus concept", the Ukrainian people's national confidence and national legitimacy will be unprecedentedly enhanced, and no matter how the situation develops in the future, it will be impossible for them to flatter the Nazis.
At worst, if we bring up the greatest common denominator of "Russian orthodoxy", all ethnic issues can be easily resolved.
Haniyev's idea was not a whim. It was a philosophical and historical view that he creatively proposed by combining the Zhou civilization of Khitan. After he put it forward, he won the unanimous approval of the Kyiv Ukrainian People's Movement Committee. These members are all representatives of the Ukrainian academic community, and are great professors, scholars, and academicians in the Ukrainian education community. The more they thought about it, the more they felt that the "Russ Concept" proposed by Haniyev was unfathomable and extremely correct. Everyone admired Comrade Haniyev, the executive committee member.
Amid their repeated inquiries, Haniyev continued to explain in detail the details and meaning of the "Rus Concept." Finally, he said in a deep voice, "The Rus Concept is a new idea I've proposed. It's not perfect yet, but the general direction has been established. If you have no objections, let's jointly explore and study the cultural relics of various Ukrainian states, uncovering the details and truths buried in thousands of years of history. We can perfect and establish the 'Rus Concept' and 'Rus Civilization', and find the greatest way forward for our Ukrainian nation and Rus culture..."
In this way, when the "Rus Concept" matures and is established, our Ukrainian nation will have the most rigorous and complete unity and legitimacy. The separatist contradictions between Eastern and Western Ukraine, and the contradictions between Great Russianism and Ukrainian nationalism will be easily resolved in the face of the "Rus Concept" and will have no place to hide..."
Everyone on the committee cheered and rejoiced. They all felt that they were devoting themselves to a cause that would benefit the country and the people and would benefit the Ukrainian people for generations to come. The sense of happiness and satisfaction made them excited.
Draco clapped his hands and laughed. He said, "The 'Rus' Idea' has truly made the Ukrainian nation stand up. It is the greatest common denominator of national culture that you, Commissioner Haniyev, have found for our Ukrainian people. You have defined the Ukrainian regime under Mikhail Sergeyevich Grushevsky as a progressive and revolutionary regime. Victor, you have also found the greatest common denominator of political culture for our Ukraine, establishing these two viewpoints in the history of Ukrainian national culture. If it remains unchanged for a thousand years, we, Ukraine, will exist forever on European soil, and the dedication and efforts of our ancestors will converge into a great legacy that will be passed down to future generations..."
After hearing Drake's words, everyone cheered again and raised their hands, clapping and looking at Haniyev on the podium with admiration.
Haniyev was also quite pleased with himself, waving his hands and thinking: Drake is indeed a great intellectual, the greatest common denominator of national culture, the greatest common denominator of political culture...
Tsk tsk, once these two statutes are out, Ukraine will have the foundation for its nationhood and the basis for its ethnicity. It will absolutely not be able to go down the old path of distortion and chaos again...
At the end of the meeting, Haniyev, as the supreme leader of the Ukrainian people's movement and the supreme leader of the Ukrainian national forces, issued the latest instructions to the Ukrainian People's Movement Committee and the entire Ukrainian People's Movement:
"Beginning in March 1989, all members of the organization began to research, study, and learn the 'Ross Concept'. They then promoted and disseminated it, ensuring that the Ross Concept was supported by cultural relics and other physical objects as soon as possible, and that it gained unanimous acceptance among the entire population..."
After the Kyiv Ukrainian People's Movement Committee was convened, Haniyev's instructions were conveyed to the Western Committee. Then, in mid-March, Kyiv, Volhynia and Yalta, as the three major bases of the Ukrainian people's movement, launched a study activity on the "Russ Concept" created by Haniyev.
On March 8, Women's Day, which is highly valued by all socialist countries, the People's Daily published a new edition. The headline was a new article written by the author under the pen name Hetman:
"Ross Concept..."
After an article appeared, it caused a huge stir in the Ukrainian historical and academic circles.
The research and discussion on this article instantly became a major topic in the historical and cultural circles.
After a major campaign organized by the Ukrainian People's Movement last year, Ukrainians became aware of this organization that includes almost all the great intellectuals and elite talents, and also knew who the leaders of this organization were. This made the People's Daily more famous, and its sales increased more than tenfold.
The news that the "Hetman" was Viktor Vladimirvich Haniyev had already spread like wildfire.
Therefore, the "Ross Concept" written by Getman is actually the new article written by Haniyev, which is also the consensus of most people.
As soon as the Ukrainian people came into contact with this new argument and new theory that shocked the Soviet Union's class historical view, they loved it and regarded it as the truth.
Chapter 244 People's Representatives
The "Russian Concept" is a soul-touching weapon for both Ukrainians and Russians. From a dialectical perspective, whoever possesses this concept will be invincible.
In the future, Russia considers itself the successor of Kievan Rus and the successor of Tsarist Russia, so it does not recognize the existence of Ukraine at all. The bunker boy even publicly expressed that the country of Ukraine does not exist at all and was created by Lenin.
Ukraine, however, believed that it was the successor of Kievan Rus. As a result, decades later, neither side had a logical theory that could convince the world historical community.
Now Haniyev has created a complete and self-consistent view of Ukrainian national history and formed the "Rus concept". After combining the two, Ukrainian history and Kievan Rus history have become consistent. Except for the Tsarist period, Russia will no longer have any factual support for intervening in Ukrainian history.
In future debates between Russia and Ukraine, Ukraine will surely win a landslide victory.
To be realistic, when the Soviet Union collapsed and Russia and Ukraine separated, Ukraine's national strength was still inferior to Russia's, but it was not as great as it would be decades later.
At the beginning of its independence, Ukraine had a population of more than 5200 million and its grain production ranked first in Eastern Europe. It was not only self-sufficient but also able to export large quantities.
In terms of military, Ukraine received 6500 tanks, 7150 armored vehicles, 1500 fighter jets and more than 350 ships from the Soviet Union. Its nuclear weapons inventory includes 1272 nuclear warheads and 2500 tactical nuclear weapons. It has the Black Sea Fleet and inherited the Soviet Union's 78 troops.
In terms of nuclear weapons alone, Ukraine had many more nuclear weapons at the time than the total number of nuclear weapons of all countries except the United States and Russia.
Ukraine also inherited 40% of the Soviet Union's industrial production capacity and has one of the Soviet Union's most advanced industrial bases. It has a good ability to produce military equipment, more than 700 military-industrial enterprises, and more than 300 million employees, covering heavy tanks, bombers, shipbuilding and other fields. Military-industrial enterprises such as the Kharkov Morozov Mechanical Design Bureau and the Antonov Design Bureau have laid a strong military-industrial foundation for Ukraine.
At that time, Ukraine was able to independently produce everything from aircraft carriers, nuclear bombs to submarines and aircraft, with only its GDP being a little lacking.
If Ukraine had a wise leader at the time who insisted on taking the path of independence, with their strength at the time, they could have achieved a position that both NATO and Russia would have wanted to please and win over, and they could have obtained a large amount of aid and loans, and they would have become the top power in Europe in a few years.
Unfortunately, Ukraine chose the worst option among countless options, which resulted in Ukraine, which could have become a world-class power, becoming one of the poorest countries in Europe. Even in 2025, its per capita GDP was only US$6000. It should be noted that the per capita GDP of developed European countries in the same period exceeded 20,000, and the highest even reached more than 100,000. Even Khitan, with a population of 14 billion, reached a per capita GDP of nearly 15,000. This shows how poor and backward a garbage country Ukraine has become.
Everything is man-made at all times, and socialism is even more important for the transformation of the country and society. Material changes must be driven by people. Eastern Europe, which has lost its dominant ideology, has not ushered in a prosperous life. In the 21st century, the poorest countries in Europe are still Eastern European countries that have abandoned the socialist system. It can be seen that their poverty has nothing to do with the system.
After establishing a system to arm Ukrainian national ideology, Haniyev became more confident about the future of Ukraine.
Haniyev believes that with Ukraine's territory, population, industrial output and weaponry, if he were to lead Ukraine after independence, it would surely become a world power.
When the Ukrainian people's movement launched a new round of national propaganda, March had unknowingly reached mid-March, and the election of Soviet people's representatives was in full swing.
Although Haniyev knew that the Soviet people's representatives could stir up trouble in the next two years, he was not interested in going to Moscow to participate. First, he was not a Russian and had no political foundation in Russia. Second, he could not change the fate of the Soviet Union, and going to the Supreme Soviet in Moscow was just a tour.
But Haniyev's refusal to go does not mean that he is unwilling to participate in the Soviet political reform. Ukraine will produce about one hundred people's representatives. After these representatives are elected, they will enter the Supreme Soviet in Moscow to work next month.
Haniyev knew very well that after the implementation of the Soviet People's Congress system in the future, the radicals headed by Yeltsin would quickly gain a certain degree of voice. As a political strongman who personally broke up the Soviet Union, Yeltsin would be glorious in the world political arena for nearly ten years in the future and would also control Russia for ten years.
The relationship between Ukraine and Russia will be very important after its independence. Haniyev felt it was necessary to invest in Yeltsin and maintain a good relationship with him. Therefore, he selected several of the most famous and experienced professors in Ukrainian academic and educational circles from the Ukrainian People's Movement Committee, and prepared to mobilize the power of the Ukrainian people's movement to elect them as Ukrainian people's representatives to participate in politics in the Supreme Soviet of the Soviet Union.
For the first time in history, the Soviet Union implemented people's elections to elect representatives, but in essence the Soviet government was still able to influence the elections. The elections of people's representatives in Ukraine were basically under the control of Sherbitsky, so in order to achieve his goal, Haniyev also went to the Mariinsky Palace to seek Sherbitsky's consent.
In order to ensure that the election of people's representatives in Ukraine was in line with his own wishes, that is, to elect the two great intellectuals he promoted as people's representatives of the Soviet Union, Haniyev began to pay attention to the election of people's representatives every day in mid-March, and personally arranged and directed the Ukrainian people's movement's campaigning and vote-gathering activities.
On March 26, the election of people's representatives of the Soviet Union ended nationwide. Yeltsin won a landslide victory in Moscow and became the first people's representative in the Soviet Union who held a different opinion and was disliked by the General Secretary. At the same time, because Yeltsin successfully won the election by riding on the public opinion of Russia's radicals, he had become the leader of the reform radicals in Russia and even the Soviet Union.
The elections for people's representatives in all the Soviet republics have ended, and the Ukrainian Republic is naturally no exception.
Thanks to Haniyev's strategic planning and Sherbitsky's support, two great intellectuals promoted by the Ukrainian people's movement, physicist Makar and famous writer Gonchar, were successfully elected as Soviet people's representatives.
Makar and Gonchar, who were in charge of the affairs of the Western Committee of the People's Movement in Lutsk, temporarily handed over the work of the Western Committee to Ivanov, and the two hurried back to Kiev at the end of March.
Chapter 245 Haniyev's Plan
Makar and Gonchar met with Haniyev on the same day they returned to Kiev, and reported to him in person on the construction and development of the Western Committee the next morning.
Because the Ukrainian people's movement was so vigorous at the end of last year and even toppled Gulenko, the Ukrainian people's movement has long been famous both at home and abroad, and has a tall and majestic image in the minds of the Ukrainian people, especially in the western states.
Due to historical reasons, the western states have a strong Ukrainian national cultural atmosphere, the Russian language penetration rate is extremely low, and there are few Russians. Although they have experienced nearly 80 years of socialist transformation and construction, nationalists have always existed, and the voice of national independence has continued throughout the Stalin era and the entire 15 years when Khrushchev, Brezhnev and Shcherbytsky led Ukraine. However, due to Stalin's harsh iron-fisted suppression and Shcherbytsky's serious suppression, these two periods were the lowest periods of Ukrainian nationalism. However, with Gorbachev's reforms and Gurenko's appointment as the First Secretary of Ukraine in 1986, nationalism in the western states of Ukraine has made a comeback in the past few years.
After the development of the Ukrainian people's movement, Ukrainian nationalism in the western states also flourished with enthusiasm.
However, because the Ukrainian national historical view had not been established before, the rise of the Ukrainian people's movement completely affected the traditional cognition of Ukrainian nationalists in the west.
Haniyev's "Ukrainian national historical view" is instructive for Ukrainians in the west, so after the Ukrainian people's movement entered Volhynia, it was welcomed by the people and ushered in a development speed that surpassed Kiev.
Therefore, after the establishment of the Western Committee of the Ukrainian People's Movement, its development in Volyn was very rapid, which made people like Haniyev and Makar amazed.
Every day, hundreds of young people, teachers, workers, and young cadres participate in activities organized by the members of the Western Committee, actively requesting to join the Ukrainian people's movement. They fully accept the Ukrainian national historical view and regard it as the truth.
To sum it up in one sentence, "things are changing with each passing day, and the trend is set."
After listening to Makar and the other man's report, Haniyev nodded in satisfaction. "Excellent! You've already recruited over 2,000 members in just two weeks. That's excellent. The west is the stronghold of Ukrainian nationalist forces. Russian is not widely spoken here, and the Russian population is small. Our focus this year is on the western states. As long as these people join our Ukrainian People's Movement and believe in our 'Ukrainian National History Perspective,' we will be able to control half of Ukraine and ensure its stability at all times!"
"To put it bluntly, the goal of our Ukrainian people's movement is to become the largest grassroots political force in Ukraine. We want to achieve the goal of stabilizing Ukraine if we stabilize it, and causing chaos if we disrupt it. That way, no matter how Gorbachev and his ilk mess around, we can ensure that Ukraine will not suffer major losses or harm..."
You two have worked hard..."
After Haniyev thanked Makar and Gonchar for their hard work with a warm smile, the two did not behave modestly and politely like the Khitans. Instead, they bluntly said that time was too tight, otherwise they could do a better job.
After two days of communication with the two deputy secretaries-general of the committee, Haniyev's theory of "Russ Concept" became more mature. So at the end of March, the Ukrainian People's Movement carried out a vigorous and comprehensive propaganda of the "Ukrainian National Historical View". The great intellectuals of the People's Movement Committee gathered together under the leadership of Haniyev and began to collect information from vast books and search for materials and cultural relics from various states, trying to find more supporting materials for the "Russ Concept" and to perfect and establish the "Russ Concept" as soon as possible.
In order to perfect the "Rus Concept", Haniyev asked for a half-month leave from the Volyn Party Committee, and planned to stay in Kiev for a longer period of time, so as to establish the "Rus Concept" in one go and write the second part of the history of the development of the Ukrainian nation.
Time always flies by when people are busy, making it difficult to catch up.
In the blink of an eye, it was April 16, and more new arguments and discussions of the "Russ Idea" were printed and published in the People's Daily, spreading to every corner of Ukraine, and receiving unanimous praise and support from all members of the Ukrainian People's Movement and the people in Volyn, Yalta, Kiev and other places.
Starting from April 1989, a complete Ukrainian national historical view began to be established, took root in the hearts of the Ukrainian people, and gradually spread.
Haniyev was very happy after listening to the reports of representatives from various places when he convened the Ukrainian People's Movement Committee. He believed that it would not be long before his will would be supported by the vast majority of Ukrainian people. By then, even if Sherbytsky was unwilling to let him take over, he only needed to raise his arms and establish a "People's Party" based on the Ukrainian People's Movement Committee to participate in politics and run for president. Ukraine would surely be his.
You should know that from the end of last year to April this year, new civil organizations have been constantly emerging throughout the Soviet Union. Most of them are informal and unofficial organizations, but each organization has its own political purpose. When the Soviet Union begins to gradually implement a multi-party system in February next year, the supreme leadership position of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union will disappear. At that time, whoever can control the hearts of the people will become the trend-setter.
Haniyev increasingly felt that he had a high enough talent in politics. After planning for so long, perhaps he would see the rewards next year. By then, Yeltsin, as the representative of the "radical reformers", would become the president of Russia. Having the foundation to compete with Gorbachev, he would resolutely withdraw from the Communist Party of the Soviet Union and openly raise the banner of "liberalism" to the Western world.
Haniyev felt that when Yeltsin jumped out, he could also serve as the backbone of the Ukrainian nation and become the president of Ukraine as a representative of "rational reformers."
In any case, during the three years of 1989, 1990 and 1991, the political situation in the Soviet Union changed rapidly, and there were endless opportunities. As long as it was handled properly, Haniyev could have stood at the commanding heights of power without struggling for 30 years.
