"We are like dogs, biting the mad dog on the opposite side for someone's life." Burgundy said indifferently, and the calm tone made the other ship girls feel uncomfortable.

Everyone fell into a damned silence.

Qiao Wu sighed, "Alright, alright, everyone, we'll fight in the harbor. We don't need to sink the ship, just survive."

Everyone nodded and dispersed again.

"Burgundy!" Qiao Wu called out to Burgundy.

"Is something wrong?"

"Just now, anyway, thank you."

"It's my job." Burgundy paused and headed towards the battlefield.

What happened after that...

Many fragmented images flashed through Burgundy's mind - gradually retreating footsteps, repeated firing, flying shells, collapsed buildings, and the corpses of the ship girls.

"Uh...ah..." Burgundy put his head in his hands and sat up from the ground.

She held her forehead, and the fragments were slowly sorted into orderly memories in her mind.

She remembered that when the battle reached its end, everyone was relying on buildings inside the port to carry out artillery bombardment.

Are you still fighting now? This doesn't seem like the right time to reminisce. If you lose focus at this moment, you'll die.

She forced herself out of the chaotic memories, and the first thing that came into her sight was a fire, and then the young man opposite her who was sitting in a daze with his hands on his knees.

"Awake?" The boy looked at Burgundy.

Burgundy quickly retreated, trying to raise his hand to summon the ship equipment...

"Hey, hey! Stop! I saved you, okay?" The boy waved his hands and moved back quickly, but Burgundy didn't listen at all.

Strangers are dangerous, she told herself.

The ship equipment was successfully constructed with great difficulty, well, the situation has become outrageous.

One of the three main guns was blown up and broken, and the left double gun room of another was damaged; the three secondary guns were completely destroyed, as were the anti-aircraft guns.

There were multiple wounds on his body.

Burgundy struggled to stand up, holding on to his spear to prevent himself from falling, and pointed the only usable turret at the boy.

Luo Lin had to admit that he was panicked when the 380 main gun was pointed at him. He was not so panicked even when he was hit by a truck and brought to this world in order to save people.

To be honest, as a loser and a player of Azur Lane, he is very happy to have the opportunity to travel to this world with KanColle.

But as soon as he arrived, he found himself on his way to the port for internship. What was worse was that, firstly, he had no cube adaptability, so he didn't even have an initial ship. Secondly, the port he was going to was in the middle of a fight, and the commander of that port had not yet closed the port.

So, unsurprisingly, the ship he was on was sunk.

"My name is Lorraine. I was planning to come visit you, but I didn't expect you to start fighting first..."

Lorraine quickly took out his ID and threw it to Burgundy. Fortunately, the ID issued by the Maritime Academy was waterproof.

Burgundy looked at it doubtfully. It had the seal of the Maritime Administration and anti-counterfeiting. She had seen it several times before, so it couldn't be wrong.

"Why did you come to XD323?" Burgundy still did not let down his guard.

Lorraine shrugged and sat down again, legs folded. "Without the Cube adaptability, if you want to be a commander, you can only come here and try your luck. What if you can get a boat?"

For an ordinary person, if he wants to acquire the adaptability of the Rubik's Cube, he can only find an ownerless ship girl and build a contract with her to obtain this thing.

Burgundy put away her ship uniform and knelt down on the beach. She was exhausted.

"Hey, are you okay?" Lorraine looked at her with some concern.

"I won't die." Burgundy didn't look up as she casually tended to her wounds. She simply pulled out the embedded shrapnel, and if the fragments were too dense, she simply cut off the piece.

Lorraine was shocked by what she saw.

Blood was all over the floor, but Burgundy didn't even frown, his expression still terribly indifferent.

"Where are Qiao Wu and the others?" she asked.

"Qiao Wu? Oh, you mean your comrades. They have been taken away by the rescue team." Lorraine looked at her and said.

"Now we two are the unlucky ones who missed the chance and are left here. I called for help, but I don't know when they will arrive." Lorraine lowered his head and continued to look at the fire.

"How long was I unconscious?" Burgundy paused. Was he left out? It didn't matter. No one really cared about him anyway, just like he didn't care about anyone else.

Lorraine thought for a moment, "About 14 hours, maybe even longer in reality."

Burgundy nodded silently.

"I found you in the rubble of a building. You were buried quite deep and surrounded by the corpses of sirens, so the search and rescue team didn't find you." Lorraine fiddled with the fire, and the pile of firewood below made a crackling sound.

Burgundy, like Lorraine, hugged his knees and looked at the fire.

The two now sat in the ruins of the building, silent.

Lorraine looked up and saw the stars in the sky spinning.

"How beautiful..." he murmured.

Burgundy looked up too. The blue-purple Milky Way was magnificent. She seemed to have never really looked at the sky above the harbor.

"Oh, by the way, you are a ship girl, right?" Lorraine said.

Burgundy looked at him with a look that said, "You're not blind."

Lorraine scratched his head, "Sorry, sorry."

"You are the third ship of the Alsace class, the Burgundy."

"No." Burgundy said coldly.

"Well, three standard Fleur-de-Lys 380mm turrets." Lorraine ignored her and continued, "Flander has triple 406mm main guns, but Alsace doesn't have that kind of equipment... so yours can only be Burgundy..."

Burgundy looked up and stared at Lorraine, "Why can't I be Normandy."

Lorraine smiled. "Normandy, the second Alsace-class ship? She hasn't been built yet, that's for sure."

Burgundy lowered his head. "So, you're here to laugh at me too?"

Lorraine was stunned for a moment, "Why do you say that?"

"Isn't that what you think?" Burgundy said, "Their ship uniforms are all gorgeous, except for me. Moreover, everyone is of noble status, only I..." She sneered, her tone a little sarcastic, "Knight Burgundy of the Church... Ha, how nice."

"Why do you say that? Burgundy, you are very strong." Lorraine was a little confused.

Burgundy scoffed. "Strong? If I were strong, I wouldn't be here. I don't even have any skills."

"How is that possible!" Lorraine looked at her with a burning gaze, "You are the strongest battleship in the Iris system!"

Burgundy thought to himself, the strongest or something... hehe...

"How about this!" Lorraine directly held her hand and said, "Be my ship girl, and I will help you reach the top!"

Burgundy pulled his hand away abruptly, looking at him with some disgust. Humans, after all, are all the same...

Lorraine was stunned for a moment, "I'm sorry, I offended you."

The awkward silence spread again.

Chapter 3 Rescue Arrives

Burgundy regained some strength, looked at the document he had forgotten to pick up on the ground, and picked it up.

It has Lorraine's personal information printed on it.

Wait, why Maritime Academy cadets?

Lorraine noticed Burgundy's movements and looked up, "Ah, that, my ID."

Burgundy handed the documents to Lorraine.

"Thank you." Lorraine put it away and then looked at Burgundy.

Burgundy didn't care. She had experienced this kind of scrutiny enough times.

It has to be said that every bit of Burgundy's appearance is on his XP. Her long white hair falls to her waist, the light armor with a slightly knightly style highlights her exquisite figure, and the black battle skirt shows her heroic posture.

The most important thing is that pair of impressive eyes - the left eye is an intoxicating rose red, and the right eye is an enchanting iris purple.

Just like the national flower of her motherland, it is mysterious, free and romantic; and just like the bright red of Flanders, it is resistant, firm and unyielding.

If we ignore the noise and bustle in those eyes at this moment.

Confused, helpless, lonely, resisting...

Lorraine didn't know what she had been through, but she suddenly felt a little distressed.

Similar to the old generation of Iris ship girls, the tearful past has been burning for a hundred years, and the embers left behind are still burning them, urging them to move forward, forward, and not let that regret happen again.

An unknown flame also burned Burgundy's throat, making it difficult for her to swallow...

So, Burgundy, what hurt you?

Lorraine thought silently, and suddenly spoke.

"Burgundy," he called softly.

Burgundy suddenly felt that the feeling of being on edge disappeared. He looked up suddenly, but was caught off guard and bumped into a starlight.

The starlight was about to send a signal to her, but when it got closer, it turned into a panicked flicker.

There was a sound of cannon fire in the distance.

"Burgundy!" Lorraine pounced on her and the shells fell not far from them.

Fortunately it was a dud.

Burgundy found that the weight on her body quickly disappeared. She looked up quickly and saw Lorraine standing in front of her, pointing a pistol at a nearly scrapped human-shaped siren on the shore.

What a fool… was Burgundy’s first thought.

Lorraine knew that his pistol was soaked in water and would definitely not be usable. Even if it could be used, his Glock, which was standard equipment for interns in the port area, would not be able to penetrate the opponent's skull.

But as long as the Siren hesitates...

But Siren staggered and raised the main gun in her left hand.

Looking at the back of a certain fool, Burgundy felt impulsive emotions for others for the first time.

He stood up and staggered out to summon the only turret that was still barely usable.

"Get out of the way!" she said.

"You..." Lorraine looked at her.

"I said, get out of the way!" She interrupted Lorraine forcefully.

Lorraine sighed, raised his gun and stepped back, and when he retreated to Burgundy's side, he gently supported her.

Burgundy did not struggle, but just stared at the Siren, and then the sound of the sluggish working of the shell hoist came from the two usable main guns.

"Hurry up!" she shouted.

The sound of the main gun shell hoist is still clicking.

"Give it to me, quick!"

Miraculously, the speed of the missile hoist became smoother and even increased. However, the wound on Burgundy's body that had once again ruptured told Lorraine that she was overdrawing herself.

"Is this the main gun loading auxiliary device?" Lorraine muttered to himself in surprise.

Burgundy didn't seem to hear what he said. He just waited quietly for the bomb hoist to finish its work, and then...

Boom! The rounds of shells hit the humanoid Siren, causing a violent explosion. After reloading, Burgundy fired six shells in less than 30 seconds, which was three rounds of shooting.

The humanoid Siren was reduced to ashes without any suspense, and Burgundy's ship equipment instantly dissipated and fell down.

........................

Burgundy was awakened by the sound of a propeller.

How embarrassing! Fainted twice in one day...

She was lying on a white stretcher at this time, and the wounds on her body had been treated.

Lorraine was lying on the side of her bed, sleeping soundly.

Burgundy didn't wake him, he just closed his eyes.
