"When we lose our compassion, we become beasts. However, as long as we continue to wield the sword of reason—"

“We are the Dragon People!”

Seeing the princess nodding with satisfaction, everyone's heart was filled with pride.

Dragons must always maintain a noble character. A powerful force always exists for the benefit of others.

Everyone felt this idea emerging from the depths of their hearts along with their courage.

At this time, a glowing space gate appeared.

A pitch-black magical power like the beautiful night enveloped Tio, and in the blink of an eye, a brave black dragon appeared.

"Let us answer the world's cry! My glorious compatriots! Roar loudly! Now is the time to liberate the world from God's hand!"

Countless roars rang out, and the entire island seemed to be shaken.

Then, the dragon people began to glow all over, transformed into dragons, and followed Tio, passing through the space gate one after another.

Under the astonished gaze of the human coalition, the dragon people were moved to the point of being filled with passion to return to the continent.

What made the dragons even more pleased was the princess.

Not only does he look majestic, but his attitude and words also fully demonstrate his kingly demeanor.

The ugliness I saw earlier wasn't real. It must have been just a daydream or something.

Because our princess can't be that perverted!

After reaching this wonderful conclusion, everyone was so moved that they almost cried.

"Master, ahhhhh~! Your beloved servant has returned! Come, pamper me!"

Needless to say, that day, in the hours before the final battle, all the dragon people cried.

Because, their princess...will never come back.

Postscript to Volume 11

Thank you for reading the eleventh episode of "Ordinary Occupations".

I am the one who likes the original author Shirami Ryo the most in the middle school style.

In a sense, this episode can be regarded as a prologue to the final battle (final chapter). Do you like it?

Compared to the web version, this episode focuses more on the students. After all, "the entire class being summoned to another world together" was one of the core themes of the original story. With this rewrite, do you feel that the story is returning to that theme a bit?

I hope that the active work of Yuka, Kosuke and others will bring joy and excitement to all readers.

Honestly, by this episode, the story had subtly revealed another fact: nine of the students in the class were nameless, non-name characters. Honestly, I toyed with the question of whether to give them specific character development or just leave them as random characters until the end. Ultimately, with the page count reaching dictionary-level length, I decided against it. However, if the opportunity arises in the future, I hope to feature these characters in future stories.

Also, while not everyone makes a comeback, this episode also features a number of characters who have appeared before. I wonder if you still remember them...

Among these characters, the one the author personally cares about most is actually the guild president.

After all, his name is partly the same as the new version of the Solar Beam Laser Cannon that appeared in this episode...

Honestly, looking back now, I also feel that this wasn't a good idea. However, changing the name of the new Hyperion at this point seems a bit strange, doesn't it? After all, the name is already well-known on the website... So, in the end, I decided not to change it. Please understand that this new laser cannon is not a weapon fired by the president himself, and Hajime didn't mean to curry favor with the president. Please consider it the result of an accidental mistake by the author and be magnanimous and forgiving.

As an aside, I tried to include characters who didn't appear in this episode in the short stories included as purchase bonuses. There's a scene in this episode where many characters from previous appearances visit Hajime on the rooftop of the fortress. Characters who didn't appear here were added to the short stories. In fact, a large percentage of these characters later became members of a certain combat maid group...

If you're interested, please definitely grab the short story and give it a read. Those who've read the online novel will probably find it incredibly satisfying. I hope you enjoy it.

Next is the thank you speech.

Thank you very much to Mr. Takaya Ki for the illustrations, Mr. RoGa for the original manga, Mr. Mori Misaki for the ordinary daily life, Mr. Kamichi Ataru for the Gaiden Zero manga, the editor-in-chief, the proofreaders, and all the other people involved who worked hard to publish this book.

I am most grateful to all the readers who purchased the book version and to all the readers of the web version who always support me. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

Although the story is almost over, please continue to support "Ordinary Occupation" to the end!

Volume 11 Bonus: Kaori's Yuri Diary

This is what happened when everyone was resting in the living room of the secret base after completing the expedition to the [Ice and Snow Cave].

“…Huff.”

"Yue, what's wrong?"

Yue had just left the living room and was back. A sinister smirk still graced her face. She rarely wore such an expression, and Hajime's eyes widened in surprise. Shia, Tio, Shizuku, and Suzu, who were also in the living room, also looked surprised. Kouki and Ryuutarou were away, having gone exploring the palace. To help Kouki change his mood, Ryuutarou decided to go out with him.

“…It’s just as I thought.”

Yue finished speaking and took out a notebook from his arms.

"Hey, Yue. Are you in trouble again?"

"That's the diary that Kaori-san started imitating Yue-san, right? It's been secretly read before, and she even wrote other words without my permission."

"And later on, it was passed on to me and Shia, like a relay diary exchange."

"What the hell are you doing?! Reading someone else's diary without permission is incredibly bad!"

Xia and Tiying looked away awkwardly. Actually, these two had a history of peeking at Yue's diary, meaning they were repeat offenders.

"Doesn't Xiangxiang have any right to privacy at all?"

"But, Taniguchi, thanks to peeking at her diary, I discovered that she had taken the uniform I had left at the palace. In a way, that counts as evidence of a crime, right?"

The implication was that people like that had no right to privacy. Hearing this, Ling could only quietly look away. Her attitude seemed to be disapproving of Kaori's behavior, as if to say, "Uh, Kaori-chan has a bit of a perverted streak..."

Incidentally, Yue, Shia, and Tio also secretly hid Hajime's personal clothing (including underwear). Some wore it, while others, like Kaori, sniffed it. Later, this was exposed due to the writings of Yue and the others, leading to the sad (?) incident of Hajime forcibly confiscating all of his clothes.

“Fufu… Ever since that incident, she’s been keeping her diary very safe, and no one’s been able to peek at it. But, she finally let her guard down this time!”

"Yue, you seem so happy, but I still have to remind you. Do you know what morality is?"

“…Hmm? You know, that’s the most inappropriate word for Hajime, and it’s also something Hajime basically doesn’t follow.”

“Uh-huh!? Yes, you’re talking about…”

"Nagumo-san, how could you say such self-defeating things?"

Shizuku sighed. Then, she began trying to retrieve the diary for her friend.

"Yue, it's wrong to read someone else's diary. Give it back to Kaori."

"...Kaori's things are mine, and my things are still mine! In other words, this is my diary!"

"Are you Fat Tiger!?"

However, Kaori is the only one who is treated like this by Yue, and it is hard to say what to say about her.

"...I must read Kaori's diary. To do this, I will make the whole world my enemy. No one can stop me!!"

Miss Yue sat slumped on the sofa, gazing around at everyone with a sharp gaze, her eyes revealing an iron resolve. "This is clearly the worst kind of mental harassment, so why is she so determined!?" Suzu shuddered. Just how badly did she want to peek into Kaori's diary? Thinking of this, Hajime and the others didn't dare to say anything more.

At this moment, Yue opened Kaori's diary. His attitude was filled with anticipation, like a novel fan who had just received the long-awaited sequel. Despite Hajime and the others' constant attempts to dissuade him, they also took a peek.

──○Month×Day

I really want to be kissed by the moon...

With a snap, Miss Yue quickly closed her diary, as if she had discovered a secret she shouldn't have known. Hajime and the others felt the same way, and they all turned to look at Yue.

"Uh, Yue. When did you and Kaori become like this..."

"!? I, I didn't! Hajime, believe me! There's really nothing between Kaori and me!"

It was like a conversation between a boyfriend and girlfriend who were caught having an affair.

"I, I get it! Kaori must have written it wrong! What she meant was that she also wanted to bite and kiss Nagumo-san. That's what she really meant!"

"I-That must be the case! Miss Shizuku, your reasoning makes perfect sense!"

Shizuku and Shia were both deeply shocked, but kindly tried to excuse their friend. Then again, Yue and Kaori were always arguing, so it was very possible this was just a misunderstanding. Having convinced herself of this, Yue opened her diary again.

──△日◇日

I almost got bitten and kissed today. But, I didn't make it to the end...

This is too much. I was so excited... I was being played by Yue...

"There's no point in making excuses."

“Hajime!? No, that’s not the case!”

Shi's eyes became empty, as if he was certain he was cuckolded. Yue was extremely anxious, grabbing Shi and shaking him frantically.

"Tsuki-chan...so you're okay with girls too..."

"...Rin! Stop interrupting me! And don't be so coy! And don't peek at me with your blushing face!"

Ling silently opened her collar, exposing her neck, indicating that she was willing to serve her sister at any time.

"What's up, Yue? So your constant quarrels with Kaori are just smokescreens? It's okay. I don't think there's anything to hide. Tell me the truth, how far have you two progressed?"

“—‘Bad luck’!!”

Tio, with a malicious grin on her face, was instantly pressed into the ground. Before she could even feel pleasure from the pain, she let out a wail of "Ugh!?" before she was crushed.

"...Damn it, Kaori, setting a trap for me like this..."

"If this is really a trap, then Kaori's calling must be 'Strategist'."

"Ka-Kaori really has a crush on Yue? As her friend, how should I face this fact..."

"Miss Shizuku, I understand how you feel. But... let's just accept reality!"

Shia and Shizuku held hands, looked at each other, and nodded deeply at the same time.

“…Those two over there! Don’t take this as fact!”

Yue didn't forget to complain, and at the same time, she opened her eyes wide and flipped through the diary. Why did Kaori pursue the so-called bite kiss? She believed that there must be other clues hidden in the diary that could explain Kaori's intention in writing so. She searched desperately, very desperately. Because -

"...If, if Kaori really has feelings for me like that... well, how should I respond?"

She was very upset. So she started looking directly at the back of the diary...

──※Month# day

I have to keep going. Now that I have found a way to return to Earth, I feel more relaxed. This must be a good time.

So, I have to muster up the courage and tell Yue.

I'm going to take a shower now, wash myself clean, and then go find Yue──

Seeing this, everyone froze. Because, judging by the date, this page was from today's diary.

"Oh, by the way, just now when Yue and the others were taking a shower, I saw her writing something..."

Shizuku muttered softly. Everyone tensed up. Then, Shia's rabbit ears twitched, as if reacting.

"The shower stopped..."

"...Here she comes. Kaori is coming! W-what should I do!? Tsuki, what should I do!?"

No matter how you look at it, this diary entry seems to be about a determination to confess. Perhaps not only does it mean confessing, but it also means forcing oneself on her...

Yue thought so and fell into a panic.

"What should I do? Should I be tolerant? Or should I tell Kaori, 'Don't touch my woman'? No, but, she's Kaori... Ugh!"

Lian Shi also started to worry and held his head.

Kaori's footsteps were getting closer. Everyone was thinking the same thing—

We really saw something we shouldn't have seen!

The living room door opened with a click, and everyone's body trembled violently.

"Eh? Everyone, what's wrong with you? Why do you look so serious?"

Kaori looked surprised and puzzled, and no one knew how to talk to her. At this time, Kaori noticed what Yue was holding.

“Ah! That’s my diary! What are you doing?!”

Kaori yelled, lunging at Yue. Normally, Yue would have immediately fought back, but today she simply shrank back nervously, letting out a rather cute "Ah!"

Kaori easily snatched the diary back, and angrily protested loudly. Seeing her rant come to a halt, Hajime timidly asked:

"Kaori, how should I put this? I'm sorry. But, there's something I want to confirm with you..."

“W-What’s going on?! I’ve never stolen Hajime-san’s clothes again! Seriously!”

She said that, but her eyes were wavering and unsteady. It was very suspicious. I'll question her about this later.
