Ban's fingers tightened for a moment, then suddenly loosened. He turned and walked to the other side of the room, his wide sleeves drawing sharp arcs in the air.
“You are imprisoned here, Nagi,” Madara said, his voice regaining its composure as he turned his back to you. “Until you are willing to tell the truth, or…” he paused, “until I decide what to do with you.”
You watched his retreating figure, a bitter smile playing on your lips. "Kill me? Like the other traitors?"
Ban didn't answer, but simply strode out of the room.
The heavy wooden door closed behind him, the sound of chains particularly jarring in the silent night.
You lie back on the bed, staring at the sealing incantation on the ceiling. You know your actions are too risky, but you have no choice but to stop the prophesied future.
That rainy night from long ago reappears before your eyes. You stand on the edge of the battlefield between the Uchiha and Senju clans, foreseeing the destruction brought about by the Infinite Tsukuyomi.
Madara stood on high, his eyes filled with a fanatical pursuit of power, completely unaware of the abyss he was heading towards.
“You will destroy the whole world, Ban,” you murmured, closing your eyes. “And I must stop you, even if it means leaving you again.”
Outside the door, Ban leaned against the wall, his clenched fists turning white at the knuckles.
Ban heard your whispers, and every word pierced his heart like a knife.
He thought he had buried his feelings completely, but when you reappeared, those suppressed emotions erupted like a volcano.
“This time I won’t let you escape, Nagi,” Madara whispered to the closed door, “neither your body nor your heart.”
The next morning, a maid brought you breakfast and clean clothes. You noticed that it was an exquisite kimono with the Uchiha clan crest embroidered on a white background.
"The clan chief has instructed that you change into these." The maid lowered her head, not daring to look you in the eye.
"Is he trying to assert ownership this way?" But you still took the clothes; the shackles were long enough to restrict your movement within the room, but not enough to reach the doorway.
After changing your clothes, you stand in front of the only mirror in the room and examine yourself.
The white kimono made her skin appear even paler, and the old scar on her collarbone was faintly visible.
When the door opened again, Ban walked in alone. He had changed his clothes today and looked less dignified and more casual than last night.
“It suits you very well.” Madara’s gaze lingered on you for a few seconds before he gestured for the maid to leave.
You didn't thank me, but calmly asked, "How long do you plan to keep me locked up?"
Ban walked to the window, his back to you. "Until you're willing to be honest with me." He turned around, a complex emotion flashing in his eyes. "Or until I get tired of this game."
“Then kill me.” You look him straight in the eye. “You know I won’t give in.”
Ban suddenly strode towards you, grabbed your wrist, and pinned you against the wall.
You could feel his hot breath spraying on your face, and the three tomoe in his Sharingan spinning wildly.
"Why are you always like this?" Madara's voice was deep and dangerous. "For some damn forbidden technique! What do you want, Nagi?"
You didn't struggle, but simply looked silently into his angry eyes. "I want to stop you from going to your destruction, Madara."
"But I failed, so now I can only try to salvage what I can."
Ban's expression wavered slightly, but quickly returned to its cold hardness. "Do you think I'd believe that? After you left me?"
“You don’t need to believe me.” You suddenly laughed, a laugh tinged with provocation. “Anyway, I’m your prisoner now, aren’t I, Chieftain.”
Ban's breath hitched. The way you called him carried a subtle irony and an indescribable intimacy.
The distance between you was so close that you could count each other's eyelashes, and the faint herbal scent emanating from you lingered in his nose, reminding him of the nights you had spent together in the past.
I don’t know who approached first, but when your lips touched, Ban felt a jolt like an electric current. The kiss was filled with anger, resentment, and long-suppressed desire, so intense that he almost bit his lip.
You neither resisted nor responded, but simply let Ban take what he wanted.
When the spots finally faded, your breathing became a little disordered.
Your lips are slightly swollen and red, and a fleeting, unreadable emotion flashes in your eyes.
"What is this?" you asked softly. "Punishment? Or is it possessiveness at play?"
Madara released you, took a step back to compose himself, and said, "This is just a warning, Nagi."
His voice regained its composure, "Don't try to test my patience."
As you watch Ban turn and walk away, your fingers unconsciously touch your lips, which you've just been kissed. His warmth still lingers there, familiar yet strange.
Over the next few days, Madara would come to the cell every day, sometimes bringing food, sometimes just sitting silently reading. You used this time to try to get information about forbidden techniques out of him, but Madara remained tight-lipped.
On the evening of the fifth day, Madara brought a scroll, which you immediately recognized as a secret sealing technique of the Uchiha clan.
"What's your decision?" Ban unfurled the scroll, which was covered with intricate incantations. "Tell me your true purpose, and perhaps I'll consider giving you what you want."
Your gaze lingered on the scroll for a moment, then shifted to Madara's face. "You know what I want, Madara, it's Yomotsu Hirasaka."
A hint of surprise flashed in Madara's eyes. "You really believe that technique can change everything?"
“No,” you shake your head, “but maybe it can change the future.”
You fell silent, and the setting sun outside the window dyed the room blood red.
Ban suddenly put away the scroll, stood up and walked in front of you. He reached out and gently stroked your cheek, his movements unusually tender.
“Marry me, Nagi.” Madara’s voice was deep and firm. “Become my wife, the Uchiha clan leader’s wife, and then you will have the right to access all forbidden techniques, including Yomotsu Hirasaka.”
You stare at him in shock, unable to believe your ears. "Are you crazy?! I've betrayed the Uchiha clan twice!"
Ban's thumb gently caressed your lower lip, his eyes filled with a chilling determination. "That's precisely why I'm going to bind you with the strongest chains. The bond of marriage is more effective than any seal, isn't it?"
You want to retreat, but the wall blocks your way. Ban's suggestion is utterly absurd, but a terrible possibility flashes through your mind.
If you accept this crazy offer, you might actually be able to reach Yomotsu Hirasaka and complete your mission.
"What if I refuse?" you ask tentatively.
Ban's smile carried a hint of danger. "Then you will be imprisoned here forever, until you die of old age."
He leaned down and whispered in her ear, "And I will come to see you every day, and try to persuade you in various ways."
You felt a chill run down your spine. This wasn't an empty threat; Madara was absolutely capable of doing something like that.
"Give me three days to think it over," you finally said.
Ban nodded in satisfaction and took a step back. "A wise choice."
He turned and walked towards the door, glancing back at you before leaving. "By the way, the wedding is set for three days from now, whether you agree or not."
After the door closed, you slumped onto the bed, your heart pounding. You had to come up with a plan within three days: either find a way to escape or accept Madara's conditions and use this opportunity to get close to forbidden techniques.
Outside the window, the full moon rises, and you recall the prophetic scene: a world under the Infinite Tsukuyomi, where everyone is immersed in illusory happiness, while the real world has become hell.
And standing at the center of all this was Uchiha Madara.
“I must stop you, even if it means deceiving you again.” You whispered to the moonlight, a resolute glint in your eyes. “Forgive me, Madara.”
The sharp crack of the chains hitting the ground was particularly jarring in the deathly silent cell.
"Cough—" You cover your mouth, and dark red blood seeps through your fingers.
You knelt on the ground, panting, your five fingers digging deep into the cracks in the stone slab. For the first time in five years, you used the Metal Escape Technique, and the backlash pain made your internal organs feel as if they were being crushed and reassembled.
The moment the maid pushed open the door to deliver the meal, your palm strike was already aimed at the back of her neck. Supporting her limp body, you tore off the maid's outer robe to wrap yourself in, and your fingertips trembled as you lit the haystack.
Thick smoke billowed into the sky.
Chaotic footsteps surged from all directions, and you lowered your head, moving quickly against the flow of people.
Five years away had dulled your muscle memory, but your ninja instincts remained. Avoiding the main roads, you followed the hidden path from your memory and arrived at the secret room of the former Uchiha clan.
The hinges of the secret room door creaked horribly from years of neglect. You slipped inside and were immediately choked by the dust, coughing lightly.
Dim light leaked through the cracks in the broken ceiling, illuminating the mountain of scrolls and ninja tools.
Your fingertips brushed across the dusty scroll, then suddenly froze—
"The clan leader has ordered the entire clan territory sealed off!" Uchiha Setsuna's voice was like a death knell. "Leave no corner untouched!"
Setsuna led her squad into the secret chamber carrying torches, the firelight dispelling the shadows.
You pressed yourself against the cold stone wall, feeling cold sweat trickling down your back. You instinctively clenched your fists, your nails digging deep into your palms.
"Reporting, Captain, nothing found here!"
"Keep searching! The chieftain said we must find them alive or dead!"
Your heart is pounding like a drum, you can almost hear the blood rushing in your eardrums. The search lasted for nearly half an hour, and just when you thought you were about to be exposed, a commotion suddenly broke out outside.
"Chieftain!" The sudden increase in tone made your heart stop.
"How's the search going?"
"The clan territory is currently sealed off, and no squad has yet discovered any trace of Lady Nagi," Setsuna reported, her voice tinged with tension.
"Let's go take another look at the edge of the clan's territory."
The tone was eerily calm, without any rage or anxiety, but instead sent chills down your spine.
He hesitated for a moment, then asked, "Clan leader, are you... alright?"
"Execute the order." Ban's voice turned cold.
"Yes!" In an instant, he led his men out of the secret chamber.
The footsteps faded into the distance, but you dared not make a move. Your intuition told you that the danger was not over.
Just as you were about to breathe a sigh of relief, you suddenly heard—"Click."
The soft sound of a drop of blood falling to the ground; in the darkness, something... is watching you.
You suddenly turn around!
"Wow--"
In the rush, the scroll was knocked over and rolled all over the ground.
"I've found you, my Nagi." Madara's voice was so low it was almost inaudible, yet it made every nerve in your body tense to the limit.
You instinctively back away until your back hits the cold stone wall. Ban approaches step by step, each step feeling like it's stepping on your heart.
"Don't come any closer!" You quickly formed hand seals, but found that you couldn't mobilize enough chakra. The backlash from the Gold Release was more severe than you had imagined.
He grabbed your wrist with one hand and pressed it above your head, while his other hand gripped your waist and pulled you into his arms, almost breaking your ribs.
"Let me go! Uchiha Madara!" Your voice trembled with fear.
Ban's response was an almost brutal kiss; his lips pressed down heavily, his teeth breaking your lips, and the taste of blood immediately spread between their mouths.
You shook your head desperately, trying to break free, but Ban's hand moved to the back of your head, his five fingers digging into your hair, holding you in place.
Chapter 62 - Imprisoned Love (5)
This kiss didn't seem like an expression of love; it was more like a punishment, a mark.
The spotted tongue invades your mouth, as if to devour you whole. Your struggles gradually become powerless, and the lack of oxygen makes your vision begin to blur.
When Ban finally let go of you, your legs were so weak that you could barely stand and could only lean against the wall for support.
Your lips are swollen and red, with blood trickling from the corners of your mouth, and your chest is heaving violently.
A dangerous glint flashed in Ban's eyes as he wiped the blood from your lips with his thumb, then put his blood-stained finger into his own mouth.
“You will always be mine, Nagi.” Madara’s voice was low and hoarse. “Whether you live or die, you will never escape my side.”
Your eyes flashed with anger. "I am not your property!"
Madara's Sharingan spun wildly, and he chuckled, a laugh that sent chills down your spine. "You should have known this would happen five years ago when you chose to leave."
His fingers traced your pale cheek. "Why do you think I spared your life? Why did I tolerate your betrayal?"
The air in the sealed room seemed to freeze. You could feel the chakra fluctuations emanating from Madara, so powerful that even the surrounding dust trembled.
“Because I love you, Nagi.” Madara’s voice suddenly became gentle, yet even more terrifying. “I love you so much that I can forgive all your betrayals, I love you so much that I would rather lock you by my side than lose you.”
Your pupils contract. "This isn't love; you've gone mad."
The cherry blossoms in the village began to fall at some unknown time, their pink petals like a twisted manifestation of love, beautiful yet breathtaking.
"I gave you safety, comfort, and protection, and all you gave me in return was to run away?"
You force yourself to look him in the eye, "What you're giving me isn't protection, it's imprisonment!"
"Why did you run away?" he asked softly, his thumb stroking your bitten lip, his voice so gentle it sent chills down your spine.
You've never seen spots like these before; a smile plays on his lips, but his eyes are mad as if he wants to devour his own soul.
