Chapter 42 Stark Games Official Account
After finding Poison Ivy, Batman took her to the police station and locked her up in a special isolation chamber set up by Wayne Technologies.
After showing off the Batmobile for a while and exchanging information with Batgirl Barbara, Batman headed to the location of the antenna and, after a series of skillful maneuvers with the Batmobile, turned on the antenna.
The final objective is to use the microwave tower to locate the scarecrow.
The microwave tower has been occupied by Scarecrow's henchmen, and they are holding hostages.
Although Batman wouldn't be afraid of these five people if he used the Russian-style rescue method to kill the hostages directly, unfortunately, Batman wouldn't do that.
Fu You controlled Batman to throw darts at the iron gate from a distance, creating some noise and drawing out two people.
The two were patrolling separately. The next step was simple: a backstab.
They took down both of them immediately, then had the Batmobile deliver the new equipment.
"Let me show you what cool armor looks like." Fu You said as he went up and opened the container dropped by the bat machine. Inside was a set of shiny black armor with a strong mechanical feel, and even eight-pack abs.
"The new abs have arrived, let's try them on."
Of course, players aren't actually going to wear it. After a series of CG animations, Batman dons that cool suit of armor.
"Now that I have a new set of equipment, I'm going to go all out." Fu You stretched his body in the game, while the model in the lower right corner of the screen made a cute pose as if to say, "Want to have a go?"
She's already secretly contacted Jarvis to help her create some entertainment value for the show later.
“Alright, let’s start with the ‘Rat in the Maze’ trick.” Fu You controlled Batman to enter the underground pipes.
"There are three people present. We need to take them all down in one fell swoop with lightning speed."
Batman's sonar device pinpointed the enemy's location for Batman, who was lurking underground. The three men were positioned in three corners, making it impossible for an ordinary person to take down all three at the same time.
But is Bruce Wayne, DC's "father" Batman, an ordinary person?
Emerging from underground, Batman delivered a powerful Rising Dragon Punch, sending one of the men flying.
The remaining two small fry were shocked. Holy crap? Bats have appeared out of the sewers instead of turtles!
He turned around and kicked another soldier, sending him flying and instantly rendering him unable to fight.
"This is the last one! Let me unleash the power of my right hand to finish you off!" Batman on the screen raised his right hand, and in the lower right corner of the live stream, Fu You's model also raised his right hand, which was originally tied up.
"Unleash the power of the Black Flame Dragon! Detroit! Smash!!" A heavy punch landed on the face of the remaining henchman, the immense force sending him flying through the iron gate, spinning and crashing to the ground outside.
This is a scene interaction capability that the original version did not have, and it can be said to be perfect in terms of program effect.
"Although it looks terrifying, that person didn't die because Batman doesn't kill people," Fu You explained, his eyelids twitching as he looked at the scene, which was even more gruesome than his own.
"He died because the door was too hard, what does that have to do with me, Batman?"
Fu You decisively ignored the three people lying on the ground, rescued the hostages, and gained control of the microwave tower.
After using his anti-Newton batarang to thoroughly explore the city, Batman finally located the Scarecrow's location.
So now there's only one thing to do, which is to pull out the scarecrow and beat him up.
"So, that concludes the first act of Arkham Knight, the third installment in the Batman trilogy. The game will be announced later at the Stark Industries Expo." As the music began, Fuyou started promoting his game.
"Well then, the night is deep. May all you Batmen conquer the night, ciao~"
As Fu You said goodbye, the ending theme song that Fu You had prepared in advance began to play on the screen.
The song "Still Worth Fighting For" plays concurrently with spectacular videos of Batman battling various opponents. The ending credits play with a final, oppressive atmosphere of being surrounded by countless tanks, culminating in a cool close-up of Batman leaping off a tower and landing. The screen then goes dark.
Although the live stream has ended, people's enthusiasm has not yet subsided.
After watching the live stream online, viewers who followed Fuyou's channel rushed to search for the release date of the online version of the game and the sales locations in physical stores.
The audience at the scene were even more enthusiastic. When they learned at the end of the video that games would be sold on-site, they all rushed in, hoping to buy a copy before the games sold out.
"Captain, let's go check out Hammer Industries' ex-wife missile next door. They say it's very powerful." Coulson called out to Steve, who was watching the live stream that had ended, and prepared to go to the next booth.
"Captain?" Coulson called out, but there was no response. He looked over curiously.
He then saw the team leader organizing others into a queue while waiting in line to prevent unnecessary injuries from overcrowding.
"Coulson, you go ahead, I have some things to take care of here," Steve said to Coulson while maintaining order.
"Hmm... Oh! I see." Coulson thought for a moment, then suddenly felt enlightened.
“If an outsider were to maintain order, they might be disliked. However, the captain stood in the line pretending to be a player who also wanted to buy the game. This kind of behavior of setting an example to maintain order will not make others resentful,” Coulson analyzed, and then walked over to help Steve.
"Captain! I'm here to help you!"
Unbeknownst to them, the people present experienced what it was like to have a superhero and a high-ranking agent maintain order.
If they knew, they could brag about this to those who couldn't attend for another year.
……
"Phew, it's finally over." Fu You turned off the live stream and breathed a sigh of relief.
"You seem to be having a lot of fun, don't you?" Tony looked at Fu You with a strange expression.
“As a VTuber, you must maintain the settings of your virtual avatar in your words and actions after logging in. This is a mandatory course for every VTuber,” Fu You explained.
"Although my character hasn't had any background information revealed yet."
"It's alright, the Stark Industries games division account is yours. It'll save you from having a bunch of people asking me every day when we're releasing a new game; I'm not a game developer." Tony simply handed over the official game division account permissions to Fuyou, neatly and efficiently passing the buck.
"But I have one request," Tony said, changing the subject. "I also want a game that promotes my Iron Man!"
"You're dreaming. I don't care."
1. Naturally, it's still the same old routine of asking for things.
2. I secretly wrote this chapter while slacking off at work; it was really tense and exciting!
3. Wow, the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series next door updates so fast! I wish I could type that fast!
Chapter 43 The Everyone's Personal Carrying Grandpa
After waiting in line for a long time, Steve and Coulson finally got to the front of the line.
but……
"I'm so sorry, sir. That was the last one," the receptionist said apologetically.
"Oh, I see... Well, that's alright then. Gentlemen at the back of the line, please don't make a fuss. There will be other opportunities to buy them later." Steve only showed a slight expression of disappointment before starting to reassure the others who hadn't been able to buy any, preventing any chaos.
"Sir, please accept this." A blonde girl wearing a baseball cap handed something to Steve, who was maintaining order.
It was a gift box containing the Batman trilogy of games.
“I can’t accept something so precious.” Steve refused without hesitation.
"It's okay, I bought three sets. One for myself, one for my collection, and one for spreading the word. I feel a little bad for those who didn't get one." The girl scratched her head awkwardly.
"But I think you're a true gamer, someone with a passion for gaming. I'll give you this game; you were just planning to buy it anyway, weren't you? It's like a token of appreciation between gamers."
The girl handed over the game gift box, and Steve couldn't help but smile when he saw the look of a kindred spirit in her eyes.
"Okay, then I'll accept it."
That kind of wonderful emotion only requires the player's resonance.
"Alright, it's getting late. If we don't go home soon, my brother will lecture me again. Goodbye." The girl handed the game to Steve and waved goodbye with a smile.
Steve smiled and waved goodbye.
"It's been a long time since I've experienced this wonderful bond since leaving the battlefield. Is this the will of the players that Fuyou talked about?" Steve felt the bond with his comrades on the battlefield once again, and the game box in his hand felt a little heavier.
"Captain, which booth should we visit next?" Coulson, having finished maintaining order, ran over to wait for Steve's answer.
"No need, I'm going back, it's getting late. Thank you for your help, Coulson." Steve shook his head, not intending to continue shopping.
"??? Oh, oh, oh... No trouble at all, Captain. Just call me next time, I'll definitely be there." Coulson was a little stunned. So they're not going to shop anymore?
“Well, there are some more important things.” Steve looked at the game box in his hand.
……
In the days following the release of the Batman games, Stark Industries' stock rose at a speed that would make its peers dream of something extraordinary.
Unlike GTA, Batman, as a popular DC character, already had a large fan base, and in this era of superhero popularity, Stark Industries' Batman games have been a huge success.
Basically, the games are sold out immediately upon release. The game department, which doesn't have much investment to begin with, even needs help from several neighboring departments to keep running.
The former employees of the weapons department were completely bewildered: "I was never this busy when I was rushing to fulfill arms orders back in the day, what's going on here?"
With the surge in the number of game players, many problems have begun to be discovered by them.
[One of our Sanda (Chinese kickboxing) practitioners played this game and knocked out his opponent in a match with a single combination of punches. It was amazing!]
This is one of the most discussed posts right now.
There wasn't much exercise involved in playing GTA, so few people noticed it.
However, in the Batman series of games, players take on the role of the protagonist, Batman, Bruce Wayne, and engage in combat.
What kind of character is Batman? He's a terrifying master who's proficient in all the world's fighting techniques. Even Captain America, Steve Rogers, only knows a few of them, and from those, he figured out his own shield fighting style.
Ordinary players might not feel anything, but those who have studied some martial arts will have a completely different experience.
When controlling Batman, if you use the fighting skills you've learned, Batman will unleash amazing and perfect fighting techniques.
Some techniques are optimized by combining other martial arts, while others are perfected by using a certain skill.
For someone learning martial arts, what could be more delightful than having a teacher who knows countless martial arts and teaches you step by step?
This treatment, akin to having a personal grandfather by your side, has led to a terrifying polarization in some competitions.
Players who had played Batman games had a much higher win rate than ordinary players, a situation that left even the coaches baffled.
"How come that move is so cool? I don't even know how to do that." The coach stared blankly at the player he had previously criticized as being addicted to games and unlikely to amount to anything, who then defeated his opponent with a beautiful combo after coming on stage.
How could S.H.I.E.L.D. not take this seriously? They began monitoring the experiment the moment they discovered it.
"Director, the experiment is over," the researcher reported to Lu Dan.
"Ordinary agents who have used virtual reality headsets to play games have become much more efficient in their movements within just a few days, and some have even become as skilled as ordinary senior agents."
"Among senior agents, the use of certain special agent combat techniques has increased by several percentage points."
Lu Dan listened to the report with a serious expression.
For special agents, while combat skills are not everything, strong hand-to-hand combat skills play a crucial role in battle.
In the past, no matter how flashy or powerful the action was, it was ultimately just a facade created by action design. However, Stark Industries' virtual games can hone real-world skills.
"Coulson, how's your experience?" Eggman looked at Coulson, who was waiting to the side. He had specially arranged for Coulson to have his experience.
"Batman truly lives up to his reputation as a man who is proficient in all the world's fighting styles. After experiencing it, I felt like I was filled with Power," Coulson said exaggeratedly, while showing off his not-so-prominent muscles.
“Please speak English.” Egg couldn’t help but facepalm, feeling that Coulson had become strange after spending so much time with the captain.
Isn't the captain supposed to be a model student in all aspects—moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and labor education? He shouldn't lead Coulson astray, right?
"Oh, Power."
"I didn't ask you to repeat this!"
Lu Dan sat back down on the stool and rubbed his temples.
"You feel your fighting skills have definitely improved, right?"
"Yes, without a doubt."
"Fu You... what exactly does that person from the future want to do?" Lu Dan thought with a headache, even though Fu You was currently on his side and his actions had not harmed the United States or the world.
However, as a sneaky person, Lu Dan won't let his guard down for now.
"What about the captain? I think he could try this game too," Egg suddenly remembered something and asked.
“Well, actually,” Coulson said somewhat awkwardly, “…the captain started playing it on the day of release.”
"???" Egg was dumbfounded.
