German Red Prince

He knew that the editor-in-chief of the Rheinische Zeitung was Thorne, and he really couldn't understand the prince's behavior. How could a nobleman be so "reactionary"?
"We need to find an opportunity to get in touch with this prince."
"David, come out."
The prison guard opened the cell door. Thorne had said earlier that he couldn't be released because there was still an operation to be carried out. David remained in his cell, but the environment was much better now.
He vowed never to go to that "Gulag Hotel" again in his life; it was more terrifying than hell.
The members of the Unity German Party who had been arrested earlier were all tried, and Hauster, whom they had tried to rescue, was also executed. Nothing has happened in the last few days; he's just been sitting there.
"Hello, Mr. David."
Thorne walked over with a smile. "How have you been lately? How have you been?"
"Your Highness," David quickly bowed, "Very well, Your Highness, thank you for your concern."
"It's alright, you can stay if you're happy."
“This…” David’s expression was slightly embarrassed.
"Just kidding, just teasing you." Thorne patted him to tell him not to be nervous.
“Sir, tell me about the situation in Darmstadt.” Thorne suddenly became serious; he needed to know exactly who was causing trouble there.
“Darmstadt?” David smiled after hearing this. “Your Highness, that’s a long story.”
......
"Bang!" Thorne slammed his hand on the chair in anger. He hadn't expected these people to be so audacious.
He clenched his fists. He hated this kind of person the most in his past life. How could he possibly let him get away with it now that he had encountered him? Thorne would not be polite to this kind of person.
“David, come with me. We’re going to see your daughter soon. Dress nicely,” Thorne said to David. He wanted to preserve a father’s dignity; Thorne couldn’t bear to see such a strong father go back in such a disheveled state.
"Little Arya, how are you?" Hamor walked into the ward, holding a doll in his hand.
“Hello, Uncle Hammer.” Arya sat up. She had been recuperating at the Fils-Mer sanatorium these past few days and was recovering much better than she had in Darmstadt.
"Your father will be back soon, so you should get some rest."
Hamor sat by the bed and gently stroked Arya's forehead. "Don't worry, just focus on getting better. Your father will be back soon."
"Mmm." Arya nodded and looked at Hamo. "Uncle Hamo, can you continue telling me the story?"
“Of course.” Hamo smiled, took out a children’s book, and began to tell the story of Snoopy.
"Hi, Mr. Hammer," Margaret greeted Hammer as she opened the door.
"Shhh."
Hamor made a gesture, pointing to the already sleeping Arya, and quietly got up and went out.
How is Arya?
“Very good, sir, Arya is recovering very well here.”
Margaret now works at a nursing home and earns a much higher salary than before. Hammer has also covered Arya's medical expenses, so Margaret can now support her family on her own.
The people at the sanatorium didn't look down on her just because she came from a small place. On the contrary, on Margaret's first day, the director actually came to greet her personally, which made Margaret feel flattered.
The director told her to focus on her work and not to feel burdened. He then explained all the benefits to her. To make it easier for her to get to work, the sanatorium had approved a house for her nearby free of charge.
This kind of benefit is not available to everyone, unless you also have a letter of recommendation from the royal family of the Kingdom of Rhine. The dean's hands were shaking when he received the letter of recommendation, which was stamped with the royal crest of the Kingdom of Rhine.
Who is this person? A letter of recommendation from the royal family? But Margaret's outstanding qualities are enough to warrant the benefits she receives, and no one will gossip.
“Mr. David will be back soon, and you will be reunited soon.” Hammer put on his hat. “Just wait, Mrs. Margaret, it will be soon.”
"Fred, your pronunciation is wrong. Repeat after me."
Fred scratched his head. He wouldn't back down if he were going to fight, but learning these foreign languages was killing him.
Thorne had been teaching him pronunciation before, and he wasn't under so much pressure when he was with a man. But recently Thorne said he was very busy and had a lot of things to do, so he couldn't teach him and asked Princess Anne to teach Fred instead.
Princess Anne is very intelligent and fluent in various foreign languages; she would be a much better teacher than Thorne.
Fred was embarrassed. Thorne had simply walked away and left the princess to teach him, leaving Fred feeling awkward. He and Thorne had never had any problems before, since they were quite familiar with each other.
But now he was with the princess, and Fred felt a little uncomfortable. He hadn't interacted with the princess much before, and he was afraid that he had done something embarrassing, since he was a commoner and didn't know anything about royal etiquette.
"Fred? Fred?"
"Huh? Hmm, I'm listening." Fred suddenly snapped out of his reverie.
"You're listening? Then tell me what I just said?"
"Um, well, I think, this..."
Fred felt like his tongue was tied in knots, and he didn't know what he was saying. He really wanted to slap himself twice.
"Pfft~"
Princess Anne couldn't help but laugh when she saw Fred's expression. "What's wrong with you? Are you afraid of me? You weren't like this when you were with my brother. Am I too ugly?"
"No, no, no!" Fred quickly waved his hands. "No, Your Highness, it's just that I was a little nervous."
"What's the rush? I'm not going to eat you. What happened to your face?" Annie blinked and looked at Fred.
"Hmm?" Fred touched his face; the wound on his face had started bleeding again.
"It's nothing, just a scrape from training," he said casually, wiping the blood from his face.
"That won't do. It would be bad if it got infected and left a scar. I'll bandage it for you."
"No need, no need, Your Highness!" Fred quickly stood up; he couldn't accept such an honor.
"Are you the teacher or am I? Sit down properly," Annie said in a commanding tone.
Fred couldn't persuade Anne otherwise and had to sit down.
Anne looked serious as she carefully wiped Fred's wound with a handkerchief. She was wearing a light blue dress and her hair was casually draped over her shoulders.
Anne was already very beautiful, and her outfit today made her even more charming.
To get a better look at the wound, Anne stood very close to Fred. He could smell the faint fragrance emanating from Princess Anne. Fred's heart was pounding, as if it were about to leap out of his chest. He swore that he had never been this nervous, not even on the Polish battlefield or on the training grounds and artillery firing ranges.
"I want to escape, someone please save me."
Fred was almost at his limit; he closed his eyes and felt sweat beading on his forehead.
"Brother, is sister kissing Brother Fred?"
The innocent voice of a child broke the silence. Fred opened his eyes abruptly. Good heavens, what happened to his kidneys?
Anne was so close to Fred that from a distance it looked like they were kissing.
"Huh?" Thorne, who was holding Sophia's hand, was a little embarrassed.
"Wow, you two are dating? When did that happen? How come I didn't know? Fred, you're pretty amazing. How come no one likes someone as handsome as me?"
"Don't let the little girl look, she'll get a sty." Thorne covered Sophia's eyes.
"You guys continue, I won't disturb you, I'm leaving now."
“No, you can’t leave!” Anne and Fred said almost simultaneously.
"Your Highness (Brother), you have misunderstood."
"I understand, I understand. Well, Fred, come out when you're done. I'll wait outside. I'm not in a hurry, I'm not in a hurry. You guys continue." Thorne nodded repeatedly and thoughtfully closed the door after speaking.
"Oh no, this is a huge misunderstanding." Fred felt a headache coming on and looked at Anne, whose face was red.
"Your Highness, I'm sorry." He bowed to Anne and hurriedly withdrew.
Princess Anne was left alone in the room. She didn't say anything, but simply folded her handkerchief, her face flushed and the corners of her mouth slightly raised.
"We almost succeeded, but the timing was really bad."
"Your Highness, I have arrived."
"Huh? So fast?" Thorne feigned surprise.
"Uh, well, it's not what you think." Fred scratched his head.
"Haha, I know, I know, just kidding." Thorne waved his hand. "Let's get down to business, Fred, we have something to do."
"Yes!"
Fred stood at attention and saluted. "We've been training for a thousand days, but we're going to use them for one." They were Thorne's sharp sword, ready to strike down any enemy!
Chapter Fifty-One: The Red Prince
Before leaving, Thorne wanted to visit the newspaper office. The newspaper had been doing well recently, all thanks to Thorne's shamelessness as a plagiarist.
"Where's The Lord of the Rings?! Where's The Lord of the Rings?! Why isn't the latest issue of the newspaper updated?! Are you trying to abandon this story?! Do I have to go to the newspaper office and confront you? Author, get out here! I can't sleep without the latest issue!"
"Where's my Harry Potter?! Why didn't they publish Harry Potter in this issue of the newspaper? Did they just hold off on publishing it at the climax? Author, come out here, I promise I won't kill you."
Every day, the Rheinische Zeitung receives a flood of reader feedback letters, all urging for updates. Some readers even travel long distances just to wait for the new issue to go on sale.
The novels Thorne published were completely different from the traditional novels that are popular today.
Magic, another world, medieval continent, orcs—these elements are refreshing.
After the novel was serialized in the newspaper, it immediately attracted countless readers, and the newspaper's circulation soared. Many households subscribed to the Rheinische Zeitung for a long time.
Even those who don't know about it will subscribe to a few issues after being recommended by countless friends. In just a few months, the Rheinische Zeitung has become the best-selling newspaper in the Rhine Kingdom.
The development of the plot in these novels has become a hot topic, and the people of the Rhine Kingdom inevitably discuss the upcoming events with those around them during their leisure time.
No one knows who this author, who signs his name "Hans Makes Coffee," is. Countless newspapers are searching for this author because he single-handedly supported the entire sales of the Rheinische Zeitung. He says, "If you're willing to publish an article here, I'll pay you whatever it takes!"
During the hiatus, several newspapers published so-called follow-up chapters of "Hans Brewing Coffee," but the authors were not convinced, because this mysterious author had said long ago that he only publishes articles in the Rheinische Zeitung.
Thorne arrived at the newspaper office and found a large crowd blocking the entrance, all talking about something.
"Someone's causing trouble?" Thorne was puzzled. Who would dare to cause trouble here?
"What happened?" Thorne asked the citizens standing at the newspaper office entrance.
"We're here to demand an explanation! 'The Lord of the Rings' has been on hiatus for three days! What is he trying to do?! Has he considered the feelings of us readers?!"
"Yes! I wouldn't say anything if he stopped updating 'The Lord of the Rings,' but why is he stopping updating 'Harry Potter' too? What is he trying to do!"
"Hey, what do you mean by that? What did The Lord of the Rings do to you? What do you mean by saying it's okay to stop updating The Lord of the Rings?"
"It seems like something terrible has been ignited." Thorne scratched his head; the two of them were now at the point of near-mutual confrontation.
"Everyone, everyone, listen to me!" Thorne pushed his way to the front and shouted as he stood on the steps. "I'm the editor-in-chief of the newspaper. Let me say a few words."
"I know how you all feel right now. It must be agonizing not to see a new chapter. We feel the same way as you, and we are very anxious."
"We've contacted the author multiple times, but he's been unwell lately and is currently recuperating, which is why he's been updating less (how shameless of him!). He understands how his readers feel, so..."
Thorne paused for a moment, then waved his hand. "The author has been working overtime every day lately, and finally, we received the author's manuscript last night! Ten new chapters of 'The Lord of the Rings' have been released! Ten more chapters of 'Harry Potter' have been released! Soon after, everyone will receive the latest issue of 'Rheinische Zeitung'!"
"Long live!"
The crowd surrounding the newspaper office cheered, and the two men who had just been at loggerheads embraced excitedly. The subsequent issue of the *Rheinische Zeitung* sold out without a doubt.
Thorne published these novels in the newspaper primarily to promote the Rheinische Zeitung, at least to gain some recognition among the public. With a sufficient readership, his opinions published in the newspaper would have a popular basis, making it much easier for him to do what he wanted.
As for why he "delayed updates," Thorne said to forgive him. He had five or six books to write, and he simply didn't have enough time. Even copying takes time. He was copying until midnight every day, and Thorne didn't have time to slack off.
"President, someone is looking for you." An editor walked towards Thorne as soon as he entered the room.
"Looking for me? Who is it? What does it want?"
"I don't know, he didn't say. He's come over in the last few days, saying he'll keep coming as long as he doesn't see you."
"Interesting." Thorne was now somewhat curious.
"Where is he now? I'd like to go see him."
"In the side room," the editor said, pointing to a room to the side.
Thälmann had only recently arrived in the Kingdom of the Rhine, and upon arrival he went straight to the headquarters of the Rheinische Zeitung. He wanted to meet this mysterious prince, to find out what kind of person he was and why he was so enthusiastic about the revolution.
"Hello." Thorne walked in and greeted the person, but was surprised when the person turned around.
"Holy crap, Thaleman!"
Thallman was also somewhat surprised, not expecting that this prince would actually know him.
Thorne didn't expect that Thallman would actually find him. He hadn't even gone to Thallman yet, and the man came to him on his own. That was good, it saved him the trouble of looking for him.
