Terra's Magnetic Field

While Xiaodao was thinking, Lin sent another message:
"What do you think of that little Sakota girl?"
...............................
Speaking of which, when Xiaodao was on a mission to monitor Chen Huijie, Lin had asked about the interpersonal relationships around him. When he learned that all the people he interacted with were men, he was obviously disappointed.
When Xiaodao heard Lin ask this, he got goosebumps all over his body.
Later, when Xiaodao reported to Lin about the interpersonal relationships in the Rhine Life Circle, Lin's attitude made him more certain that his previous guess was correct.
The number of words in Rhine Life Circle is even more exaggerated than the last Penguin Logistics, reaching an unprecedented 280,000 words! It is the length of a novella.
Because once we talk about Rhodes Island, we have to talk about other people in Colombia. For example, "Kristen", the woman who was entangled with Saria, and "Bella", the woman who made Saria fearful...
Thanks to his frequent help with copywriting for Si Sui Tai, Xiao Dao's writing style is already good. After the baptism of "Penguin Logistics Love Story", his originally rational style of writing began to develop in the direction of narrative "small essays", and he even used lyrical writing when explaining what happened between characters? It's definitely a "The First Half of Saria's Life and Her Women" (If the memory is really awakened later, this part will probably be the thing Xiao Er is most reluctant to mention...)
Just like last time, Lin did not respond after receiving the file, and two or three hours passed like this...
Mingming Lin could use the power of magnetic field to speed read and digest the contents of the document quickly, but she still chose to savor it word by word? Just like the audience who follows their favorite TV series, they never fast forward and would like to enjoy even the commercials slowly.
It can be seen that Lin really likes the complicated interpersonal relationships in Rhodes Island described by Xiaodao. He has never heard of such a weird thing in his hundreds of years of life.
Xiaodao learned from his conversation with his niece Qingyan that his elderly grandmother seemed to be very concerned about this matter? Lin got the list of operators that Rhodes Island provided for takeout, cut out the photos of the operators, and listed an extremely complex network of relationships based on Xiaodao's description of the relationships among them, which looked like a spider's web from a distance.
She had never been so serious in analyzing the relationships among the members of the Yan Kingdom's royal family in the past...
In her opinion, there was no need to think about the royal family's nonsense. It was meaningless. It was either someone wanted to kill someone or someone killed someone. How could it be as fun as Rhodes Island? Even if Xiaodao investigated Wanchou's interpersonal relationships, he probably wouldn't find anything. At most, he would know that he had an affair with his deceased sister-in-law...
In addition, Lin even made a reservation for the mobile game that the Rhodes Island Publicity Department opened to the public? It seems that he enjoys it. It is one of the few hobbies of this old man.
What gave Xiaodao the most headache was "Wan". As the main purpose of his trip, he could not ignore her when sorting out interpersonal relationships. Although Xiaodao had long felt that Wan was not simple, he was shocked by her huge network of relationships when he really started to investigate Wan seriously.
If the network of relationships in Rhodes Island is compared to a spider web, Wan is the spider at the center of the web, the core of the entire network. Almost everyone is connected to her, and then the people in the leadership, whether it is Kal'tsit, Klothir, Theresa... all have an affair with her?
So when reporting Wan's interpersonal situation to Lin, Xiaodao gave the subtitle "Rhode Island. Emperor Wan's Lily and Rose Harem". This document has more than 300,000 words. In addition to Wan's chaotic love history, this report also involves the development of Terra as a whole. Xiaodao found that Wan's figure is everywhere in Terra and is inseparable from the development of civilization.
Although Xiaodao didn't know that Wan had indeed been an emperor, her style made Xiaodao associate her with the word "emperor". Wan did have all the characteristics of a feudal emperor, such as "suspicious, cruel, cold, and insecure", which made Xiaodao jokingly call her this word.
Wan's interpersonal relationships were so messy that every time Xiaodao summarized a person who was closely related to her, he had to write a note at the end: *This person probably has an affair with Wan.
Just as he commented on Kal'tsit: She is the top leader of Rhodes Island in name only, but in reality she is Wan's puppet, being manipulated by Wan in various ways. This woman seems to be in a strange state where she hates Wan but cannot leave him. She probably has an affair with Wan and they are old lovers.
After the file was sent, Lin did not reply until the next morning, which was the longest time Xiaodao had ever experienced.
Lin’s response at the time was:
"As a former... um... how should I put it? Grandma is actually quite familiar with her because she was Grandma's master... Anyway, Grandma didn't expect that she lived such a decadent life in Rhodes Island..."
“Hmm…” Xiaodao looked at the reply expressionlessly. After continuous training, the “one-legged radar” on his head could now make judgments based on just a few words. After seeing Lin’s reply, the unusually long, curly hair on his head began to tremble rapidly, making a rapid electric sound, “Ding ding ding~”, clearly showing his reaction.
So he stood up, opened the laptop he usually used for work, and added the following words to the general document on interpersonal relationships:
"Lin is probably having an affair with Wan..."
That’s all for today.
Mini-theater: [You will die if you see a lesbian]
Xiaodao: I will die if I see a lesbian now
Degou: Come to work
The knife rises to the sky (ding~)
Small theater: [Sareya's World]

When meeting with Saria, Saria saw that the person opposite was the famous leader of Yan State Si Sui Tai, so she did not dare to neglect him and walked straight up to greet him, "You are the leader of Si Sui Tai, right? I heard of your reputation when I was in Columbia..."
As a result, Lin held Saria's hand with both hands, acting like a little fan, and said excitedly, "Director Saria, I've heard of you too!"
Saria: “Ah?” (shocked)
Saria looked at Xiaodao quickly, thinking that Xiaodao was telling Lin about her beating him before. She guessed that Lin wanted to use courtesy before force. Unexpectedly, Lin wiped his tears and said, "It's so touching. Your story with Hemer, your feelings for Ifrit, your life-and-death friendship with Mel, your love-hate relationship with Bella, and Kristen's love that can never be conveyed... Auntie, I'm so touched..."
Saria: “………………………………” (Calcification)
Xiaodao on the side remained silent, just hoping that this matter would pass quickly.
Wanbao, knowing the truth, was trying to hold back his laughter.
After the meeting, Lin asked Saria to sign the Rhine Life poster she bought and hung it in the room.
Volume 389: Chapter Chapter The Nature of Evolution
The young man walked forward nervously. Strange howling continued to be heard from the locked cells on both sides. The prisoners inside were just pathetic experimental subjects who could no longer be called "human beings". Some of them were spies who infiltrated from outside, some were officials who failed in political struggles, and some were unruly people who participated in rebellion in the early years...
The young man did not need to have pity on these people, because he was the ruler of the empire under his feet—[Ursus]. Just as the guards beside him called him, he was the [Emperor]…
Since he was already the emperor, the most authoritative person in the country, the young man did not need to fear anyone in the country. Since the ancient gods had been expelled forever by his design, he did not need to be anxious.
But the fact is that even though he holds great authority, he still has awe for the "master" here, the white-haired old man from another world.
That guy claimed that he was transferred to this land because of an experiment [accident]. He did not have any characteristics of any race, but possessed unheard-of technology, and he always had a sinister look on his face, smiling but not smiling.
The old man's name was Lev Klitschko. According to him, his hometown in his world was very similar to Ursus, so staying in Ursus was like going home.
The old man came to this land when he was a young emperor, and now ten years have passed. Soon after he came to this land, he gained the trust of the previous emperor and established a base in this remote city called [Chernobog], which is now the [Tower] where they are.
Levi named the tower they were in "Magnetic Hill III" (fortunately it was not called the Tower of Babel...) to commemorate his former laboratory, and asked others to call him "Doctor".
The young emperor walked to the central door of the tower. Levi, who had been waiting for a long time, walked over to greet him enthusiastically and extended his hand to the emperor. After the two shook hands, the emperor cautiously addressed the other party:
"Dr. Levi..."
The emperor stared at the pupils of the old man opposite him, but could not read any emotion from them. This man was as unpredictable as his origins.
Such people are destabilizing to the rulers, but Ursus needs such people to maintain its existence. Because Ursus needs to be [strong], and people like Levi can create [strong] things.
"Your Majesty, please do not be restrained," Levi walked in with his hands behind his back, saying as he walked:
"I know that you lack trust in the people around you after you came to power, and you always think that we old guys are making our own calculations. But I have been loyal to Ursus since the time of the previous emperor. Although I am not a local, I have already mentally classified myself as a native Ursusian.
"I remember you looked so reserved when you first came to me as a kid, and you called me Uncle Levi back then...hahaha~really..."
Levi spoke to the young emperor like an elder to a younger person, not as a monarch and a subject. Perhaps due to the cultural differences between the two worlds, Levi was not as respectful to the emperor as other subjects.
His motto is: "I work for you, you provide me with resources, you can use my results, but you must respect me."
Levi's style did not disgust the emperor, but instead gave the young man a sense of "freshness". Perhaps in the eyes of the young emperor, Levi was much more "sincere" than other ministers. This was the fundamental reason why he allowed Levi to have jurisdiction over an independent mobile city.
In addition to this tower, Levi also has jurisdiction over the entire mobile city and enjoys the treatment of a fiefdom noble. Unlike other nobles, he does not have to go to the capital regularly to pay homage to the emperor, but the emperor personally comes to inspect him, which shows how much the emperor values this man.
Since Xiao Er's death, the original order of Terra has gradually collapsed, and the conflicts between countries have become more and more acute. Now the situation has reached a point where the world is divided into three parts. Since Yanguo accepted Ursus as a vassal state, Yanguo's suppression of Ursus has become more and more serious, to the point where the Emperor of Ursus has to think about how to get rid of the control of the empire. It is easy to invite a god, but difficult to send him away...
In order to gain independence from the Yan Kingdom, one must have capital, capital that can maintain power, which is also the purpose of the young man's trip.

The young man watched the large screen in front of the control center, checking the situation in various parts of the tower. Half of the surveillance was about what happened in the laboratory. The young man only took a quick glance and lowered his head to hold back vomiting. Those things were simply...
Unlike the brutal treatment of people like animals in the labor camps, Levi's attitude towards his experimental subjects was more like a child treating toys.
The old man carefully maintained the physiological condition of each experimental subject, ensuring that they remained in a relatively healthy state. He then disassembled them step by step, studying every part of their skin, muscles, bones, nerves... and finally tried to reassemble those parts into new individuals.
After constant physical transformation and mental torture, those experimental subjects can no longer be called "human beings". They are just moving pieces of flesh that were once human beings.
"Do you want me to prepare a vomit bag?" Levi walked over and bent down to ask with concern. His smiling face looked very kind, and it was impossible to associate him with the devil who conducted those inhumane demonic experiments.
“No…” The young emperor suppressed his pale face, trying to look calm, and then asked Levi:
"Has the research made any progress?"
"Oh... Are you asking about the research on [Magnetic Field Rotation]?" Levi's mouth curled up, "You Terrans are really amazing. You can rely on your own cell vibrations to generate electricity and further manipulate the magnetic field. This is almost an omnipotent power, the power of [God]. If you want to describe the essence of this power, it can only be [Evolution]..."
For Levi, [magnetic field rotation] is the [essence of evolution]. All life is born from the magnetic field, evolves in the direction of manipulating the magnetic field, and finally returns to the magnetic field.
"If this power continues to evolve, the top masters may one day be able to control time," Levi said intoxicatedly. As a man dedicated to science, how could he not be excited when encountering such an interesting topic? After a moment, he thought of reporting his recent work situation to the guests:
"For now, we haven't found a way to transform ordinary people into people with magnetic field abilities. The reports written by my predecessor, Doctor Kal'tsit, are all riddles that only she can understand. She doesn't even explain how to use the machine. It has no research value... This means that I have to start over from scratch after taking over."
"Although we have successfully transformed several test subjects recently, those guys are all just mad monsters..." Levi waved his hand, and the large screen in front zoomed in on the surveillance footage of a certain place. The young man saw several alien monsters that had been dissected in culture tanks. If Levi hadn't mentioned this, he would never have connected these things with people.
"This thing has no military value. What we want are controllable soldiers who can fight for the country, not monsters that can only attack blindly," Levi concluded, then shook his head.
“It seems that I still have a long way to go in my work.”
"…………" The young man did not react much after hearing this. He just looked at Levi silently. He knew that as the top leader of this country, he needed to act rationally. Scientific research is a long process. He asked again:
"What about other directions? We can't put all our hopes on Kal'tsit's illusory prehistoric relics."
The young emperor gnashed his teeth when he mentioned Kal'tsit. Why would the king of a country hold such a grudge against the former president of their country's academy of science? It was probably because Kal'tsit had done nothing practical except to make big promises for his father, such as the elixir of life. The mass-produced blades were also useless. About 20 people could barely kill an electric current-driven one. This was indeed possible a few hundred years ago, but it was just a waste in this version.
The most infuriating thing is that after emptying the national treasury, Kal'tsit, the old lynx, actually donated money and ran away, and went to Kazdel to serve the Demon King as his national teacher!
So now it is forbidden to mention Kal'tsit in Ursus, as if her name is cursed like the black snake, and it is the humiliating history that Ursus is most reluctant to recall...
After hearing the emperor's words, Levi spoke freely:
"I have dissected the remains of several magnetic field guys before, and found that their physiological structures are completely different from those of ordinary people. They can be regarded as other species with the same appearance as humans."
"Of course, the magnetic field masters I came across were either dead and their organs could not be identified, or their strength was too weak... If we could get a living strong one to do research, I'm sure the research progress would be rapid..."
Levi rubbed his hands, looking eager to try. But he knew that Ursus' current conditions would not allow him to get a strong man. Even if there was one, who would be willing to let the precious fighting power become experimental material?
"Then you should study it carefully. The treasury will allocate funds to you as usual..." The emperor turned around to leave this place that made him feel uncomfortable. The moment he walked out of the door, he paused and turned his back to Levi and said:
"Don't do anything behind my back. I know your plan very well, including the [giant] under the tower..."
"Oh... That's true," Levi smiled. It seemed that he did not regard the emperor's words as a threat. Perhaps to him with farsightedness, the ruler of a feudal country was really nothing.
While the little emperor was still thinking about how to consolidate his humble rule, Levi had already set his sights on a more distant future.
The era of...
That’s all for today.
Postscript: A strange thing...
I suddenly felt very sleepy at noon today, and then I fell asleep on the bed. When I woke up, I found that it was already dark, and it seemed that I had a very long dream.
At the beginning of the dream (the part I remember), it was a medieval setting where a man who looked like a Vatican knight was fleeing. He seemed to have some special ability and was being hunted as a wizard? And he also had to save a princess. It was quite confusing.
There is also a section on a space colony satellite (space city), similar to the cyberpunk background, about how magicians in the space age survive under the high-pressure control of the space church. Basically, the gangs are replaced by magic societies, and machine guns and other things are replaced by spells. The gunfights are spells, and the cops become dogs of the church.
Although technology was very advanced in that context, magic still seemed to be able to do incredible things.
Because it was a dream, it was quite vague. I dreamed of a woman who was very good at fighting (similar to Wanbao, also white hair) working as a dog of the Church in the cyberspace city (equivalent to the sheriff of the space city?), catching illegal magicians, and that woman seemed to have lived for a long time, like an undead or something like that, which was quite confusing.
I remembered these few paragraphs after I woke up, and then I felt that these fragmented dreams seemed to be connected in some way, as if they happened in the same worldview.
The moment I woke up was a bit strange. I felt lost and regretful, and also had a sense of hallucination. I felt that the things around me were not real. Maybe it was like Zhuang Zhou dreaming of being a butterfly.
I felt like my life in that dream was longer than my real life, spanning more than a thousand years, and I watched a magical world develop into cyberpunk from the perspective of a bystander. Then I had a headache and felt dizzy, maybe because I slept too long.
Anyway, it was such a strange thing. I had a similar dream when I was serializing something on Tieba before. I also posted about this and dreamed about other things.
But what’s a little creepy is that this long dream is similar to the previous one… and the image of Wanbao is also inspired by the dream (so she might actually be staring at us in a parallel universe, waiting for us to fall asleep…)
I think it would be interesting to turn this dream into a novel, but it's difficult to think about. It's like trying to piece together a world using just a few small pieces of a puzzle.
If I were to write, I could set up a kind of people in that cyber magic world called dreamers, who can establish connections with their parallel universe selves through means similar to psychic powers. The Vatican dogs hunt them across dimensions to prevent those psychic travelers from finding things that can overthrow the Vatican in other universes, and individuals who have been psychically traveled through will retain the memories of the psychic travelers.
Probably so.
It starts with a man complaining to his friend about a strange dream he had last night. In the dream, he was a Vatican knight. His friend then says that he was very strange yesterday. He suddenly ran out while working and was missing for the whole day.
That person suddenly discovered that he seemed to have no memory of yesterday, so the title is "Searching for Yesterday"...
Later, the man asked for leave and found out the problem by tracing his own steps yesterday. He learned from the surveillance of a certain store that he had a fight with several young people from a local gang here yesterday evening (those people were also possessed by his parallel world self and were rebels against the Church)
Then the man found the young man who had fought with him yesterday. After talking with each other, they realized that they had no memory of yesterday, and they began to talk about their strange dreams. Later, they followed the clues and found that many people in the world had similar experiences. It seemed that a group of unknown things were gradually invading their world...
This book could be called "Cyber Psychic Crossing"
It can be divided into two narratives, one is the cyber world view, and the other is more realistic. In those two worlds, good and evil are reversed. The Knight of the Holy See in the cyber world is a villain, but his counterpart in the parallel world is just an ordinary office worker. Often, the villain in the previous story kills a lot, and then the villain here works honestly, creating a contrast. (You can also set her as the heroine, after all, the one she dreams of is a sheriff similar to Wanbao, and you can also write about Wanbao, an OL in a parallel universe)
The last two worlds can be physically traversed, so you can play the kind of reality invasion game...
Of course, this is just a preliminary idea.
