The days at Hogwarts
Page 11
At five minutes to three, they arrived at a cabin on the edge of the Forbidden Forest. There was a crossbow and a pair of rubber overshoes in front of the door. Loren was particularly familiar with such cabins, so he was the first to knock on the door.
He opened the door a crack, revealing a big bearded face. He was stunned for a moment when he saw Loren, then he saw Harry behind Loren and smiled happily.
"Oh, come in quickly. Look at me. I was so busy that I forgot the appointment." Hagrid pulled the hound back a little and welcomed the three people into the door.
The hut had only one room, with hams and pheasants hanging from the ceiling, a copper kettle boiling water in the brazier, and a large bed in the corner, covered with rags. The environment was even more shabby than Loren's.
"Come sit down! You're welcome." Hagrid asked everyone to sit down and let go of the hound. The hound pounced on Ron. Ron was almost scared to tears, but the hound just licked his ears.
Hagrid looked at this scene and smiled: "I forgot to introduce you, this is my friend Fang." The dog was obviously not as ferocious as it looked.
Harry and Loren couldn't help laughing at Ron's embarrassed look. Harry introduced them, "This is Ron and Loren, my friends."
Hagrid glanced at him and said with a smile, "Another Weasley kid. Your two brothers have given me a lot of trouble. I have spent most of my life trying to drive them out of the Forbidden Forest."
As Hagrid spoke, he took out rock cakes to treat the three people.
The pancakes made a "bang bang bang" sound when they hit the plate, and the three men's necks were a little stiff.
"Try it, Yaya likes it the most!"
Harry and Ron picked up a piece and mustered up the courage to take a bite.
"Hey!"
The two looked miserable, and the biscuits almost knocked their teeth out. Looking at the enthusiastic Hagrid, they pretended to enjoy the food and gnawed it with their teeth.
Listening to the crunching sound of teeth grinding, Loren probably understood why Yaya liked to eat this. Don't dogs like teething sticks?
Loren had a cookie in his hand. He didn't intend to torture himself, so he pinched the cookie and started complaining about the stairs in Hogwarts.
The topic was changed, and Harry also talked about the classes in the past few days, and complained madly about Professor Snape's favoritism and difficulties.
Hagrid hesitated for a while, trying to refute Harry, and finally said: "Snape is a professor, he won't target you."
This sounds very empty.
"Cough cough."
Hagrid began to talk about Ron, "How about your brother Charlie? He has a way with animals, just like me."
The subject changed too abruptly, and Harry felt that he didn't want to talk about the professor.
Ron's brother Charlie worked in a dragon-related field after graduation, and he picked out some things he knew about.
Loren picked up the Daily Prophet on the table and started browsing.
Harry saw the report of the illegal break-in at a glance. Gringotts claimed that the intruder broke into the empty door. The owner of the vault that day had already taken out all the contents of the vault in advance, so they didn't lose anything.
The report ended with: A Gringotts goblin spokesperson said this afternoon that they have no information on what is stored in the vault and that people should not interfere in the matter.
Loren saw it and knew that it was the old man Dumbledore who had set up Voldemort. But he had a lot of complaints to vent to the robbers in Gringotts.
The goblins in Gringotts are all hooligans. Someone went in and out of the place where they kept things for customers, and then said nothing was lost. They are warning customers not to ask around. It's terrible.
Harry remembered that day, almost the most memorable day in his life: "Hagrid! We were there the day Gringotts was broken into!"
"Ah? I don't quite remember." Hagrid looked around and didn't give a direct answer.
Harry secretly kept this in mind. Could the small package that Hagrid took away from the underground vault of No. 713 that day be the target of the intruder?
Time passed by unknowingly, and a piece of rock cake, which was enough for the whole afternoon's tea, was not finished yet. However, Loren fed the rock cake to Yaya when they were not paying attention.
Harry went back with a lot of questions in his mind: What was that bag Hagrid was carrying? Where is it now? Why did Hagrid avoid Snape's affairs?
Chapter 19: Banban Reveals His True Form
Saturday morning.
Some of the freshmen were wandering around the castle, some were basking in the sun by the lake; they did not have the heavy academic pressure yet.
The Gryffindor freshmen gathered together to discuss and summarize the rules of the stairs. Hermione spoke the most, and Neville wrote down almost every word in a notebook. He also had a list of passwords for the lounge.
Loren and his roommates in the same dormitory have developed a habit. If they don't see Neville before going to bed, they will go to the door of the lounge and open it. Neville is most likely waiting outside.
Ron put Banban in his pocket. Banban had been sleeping more and more these days, almost all day except when eating. Ron thought it might be a little uncomfortable.
Harry listened intently to the discussion of how to get to the classrooms quickly, and he remembered what Professor McGonagall had said when she scolded him and Ron for being late that day.
"Perhaps if I turned you two into pocket watches, you would be more punctual."
"If I turn you into a map, you won't get lost."
How could a person with a temperature of 37 degrees say such cold words? He never wanted to experience that again.
At this time, Percy, Fred and George came back from outside and walked straight towards Ron.
Ron saw it too, and greeted them happily: "Hey! I thought you were all going to Hogsmeade, and I wanted you to bring me some candy."
Percy looked pale and said nothing. George and Fred each carried Ron on one side and walked out.
Each of them spoke a sentence, with a tone as if Ron had suffered a disaster:
"Oh! Poor little Ronnie."
"He doesn't know what's going on yet."
Ron was still a little confused. The two carried him for a distance before they started yelling, "Let me go! Be careful or I'll tell mom and you'll be in trouble!"
Percy was behind, calling for Loren and Harry to follow, but he didn't say anything. Harry and Loren looked at each other, Loren had some guesses in his mind, but he didn't say anything.
When the people in the lounge saw this, they thought the Weasley brothers were joking and watched them walk out with a smile.
After leaving the lounge, Professor McGonagall was waiting outside with a glass jar. The twins put Ron down and said in unison: "Report, mission accomplished."
Professor McGonagall waved her wand towards Ron's pocket, and Scabbers floated up and fell into the jar, which then quickly turned into a completely enclosed sphere, leaving only a ventilation hole.
Ron stared for a moment: "Merlin's beard, you guys just want to catch a mouse?"
The twins patted Ron: "Mom and Dad are waiting for us in the principal's office, let's go."
Harry and Ron followed the group to the headmaster's office with full of doubts.
When he entered the room, Loren noticed that the portraits in the headmaster's office were all turned inside out, with no front view. Snape was standing in the corner, and Headmaster Dumbledore was comforting the Weasleys.
This was the first time Lauren and Harry met Ron's parents, both of whom had the Weasley family's uniform red hair.
Ron's father is Arthur Weasley, a tall, thin man wearing glasses. He always says, "I should have noticed something was wrong earlier. It's all my fault..."
Ron's mother, Molly Weasley, a somewhat plump woman, was crying and muttering, "My poor Ronnie, that damned dark wizard."
Seeing a group of people coming in, Molly stood up and rushed to Ron, hugging him tightly in her arms: "Fortunately, my Ronnie is okay, that's great! Thanks to Dumbledore!"
Ron felt his mother's excitement, her body still shaking uncontrollably. Ron was a little confused at this moment, and had many doubts, but he didn't ask, he just hugged his mother quietly, trying to comfort her.
Arthur also came over. Even though Dumbledore kept saying that everything was fine, he didn't smile in relief until he saw with his own eyes that the children were all fine.
Arthur noticed Harry and the scar on his forehead. "You must be Harry. You've grown so big now."
Molly heard this, looked at Harry, and reached out to touch Harry's face, but she didn't. She hugged Harry in her arms and said, "Poor child!"
Harry felt a sense of closeness. He did not resist and silently felt the warmth. He wished his mother was there too.
Dumbledore also came over and said to them, "This is Loren. He has a pair of eyes that are good at discovering. Thanks to him, otherwise we would still be in the dark."
The Weasleys, with the exception of Ron, all gave Loren grateful smiles, and Loren smiled back.
Snape was somewhat disgusted with this hypocritical scene and interrupted: "Now, let's see the true face of this gutter rat."
Professor McGonagall poured the mouse Scabbers out and placed it on the floor. Dumbledore held an ancient magic wand and attracted the four-pointed star. The yellow light gradually spread over the entire mouse.
It's finally yellow, Ron thought.
The mouse gradually expanded and lengthened, and finally, as the yellow light faded, it turned into a short and fat man with a slightly bald head and gray hair.
Harry's scar felt a little sore again, but it was so slight and fleeting that he almost thought it was an illusion.
Loren looked at this man and felt an odd sense of familiarity. He thought it might be because he had seen him in a movie, so he didn't think much about it.
Ron and Percy looked at this scene with the same pale and painful expressions.
Ron also felt a strong sense of disgust. This pet mouse, whom he once loved very much, kissed and even slept with in his arms, turned out to be a greasy, bald middle-aged man.
Professor McGonagall next to her said in surprise: "Peter Pettigrew?" She recognized her former student.
Professor Snape's gloomy voice sounded: "It's incredible. Ten years ago, Peter Pettigrew was blown up by his good friend and only had one finger left. I didn't expect that he would hide in the Weasley family for the past ten years."
When Loren heard this, some images flashed through his mind: the blown-off roof, the opened streets, and the sky-blue skirt? It was all blurry and he had no idea where it came from.
"There must be something interesting here. We need a little bit of potion to uncover the truth."
"Freshly prepared Veritaserum, just a few drops will do."
Dumbledore showed a thoughtful expression and finally disagreed: "Peter once won the Order of Merlin, First Class. Everyone thinks he is a hero. We can't do this. Professor McGonagall, notify the people in the Ministry of Magic. There is another person involved in what happened back then."
Dumbledore had a plan since Loren told him that there was an Animagus lurking in the Weasley family for more than ten years. First, he planted little stars on the mouse to make it unable to escape and unable to do anything desperate.
Write a letter to Mr. and Mrs. Arthur, and ask Professor McGonagall to communicate with Percy and the twins to make sure that the Weasleys are all right.
Today, he was planning to give Harry a lesson about dark wizards, and even prepared Snape's potion. But things became complicated. There might be some hidden secrets about what happened back then that he didn't know.
Dumbledore said that the rest of the matters would be left to him and the professors, and asked the Weasleys to wait for news first, and he would give them an answer.
Arthur and Molly both fully trusted Dumbledore and did not say much. After all, the children were still children and were still in a daze when they walked out of the office.
Professor McGonagall gave the Weasley brothers two days off to recover, and they only had to come back on Monday.
Molly invited Harry and Loren to spend the weekend at the Burrow, but the two agreed that it would be better not to disturb the family reunion.
Harry was even more confused, and he wanted to ask Dumbledore about what Hagrid hadn't finished telling him about his parents.
Did Ron's parents know his parents? What about that dark wizard? Did Loren know about it?
Harry was going to ask Loren some questions...
The plot starts to get disrupted from here. I keep feeling that there's something wrong with what I wrote, but when I read it myself I can't notice anything.
A friend said that my foreshadowing was too dry, so I went back and revised it. If you are reading this, please leave your comments.
Chapter 20 Explosive Genius: Passion is burning!
By lunchtime Ron had gone home with the Weasleys.
Loren felt that things had come to this point, and the rest could be left to Dumbledore. In fact, after he told Dumbledore about the matter, he did not participate in anything else.
Harry stuffed the bread into his mouth and asked, "Loren, did you find out..."
"boom!"
Suddenly, there was an explosion not far away, and Simo's face turned black and his hair stood up, looking very funny.
"Hahahahahaha!" Dean Thomas was laughing so hard that his teeth were showing, although most of the time his face was not showing.
Dean Thomas was a black boy from Gryffindor who was a good friend of Seamus. Whenever he saw this situation, he always laughed the loudest.
This was not the first time he had seen this scene. Whenever Seamus tried unfamiliar magic, something would explode. The power was not great and would not cause any damage, but his face would always be black.
Loren's attention was drawn to that. He approached Seamus with a chicken leg in his hand, looking very interested: "What kind of spell is this?"
Dean Thomas answered first: "He tried to turn water into wine, but it exploded again."
Loren turned his head, with an expression that said, "Boy, you're lucky. I have a unique martial art to teach you. The task of saving the world and upholding justice is now up to you." He said seriously, "Simo, have you ever thought that you have a unique talent in this area?"
Simon wiped his face with a tissue and rolled his eyes at Loren: "If you want, I can give you this talent in exchange."
"Hehehe!" Loren bewitched, "I know a super cool spell that suits your temperament very well."
Dean next to him also showed a curious expression: "Can I try it too?"
They quickly filled their stomachs and walked towards the edge of the forbidden forest arm in arm.
Harry was speechless as he watched the people walking away; he hadn't finished asking his question yet.
Draco, who was sitting at another long table, looked at Harry and sneered, "Look, the famous Harry Potter has been left alone."
Harry was fed up with this guy. Ever since the train ride, he had been arrogant and wanted to get to know him, and he looked down on Ron. The feud had been established since then, and Draco would make a few sarcastic remarks to Harry whenever he had the chance.
But fortunately, Snake House and Lion House only have Potions class together, Harry thought, ignored Draco, and quickly returned to the common room.
……
Loren, Seamus and Dean arrived at the edge of the Forbidden Forest.
Seamus looked at the woods and asked aloud, "Why are we here? The professors won't let us enter the forbidden forest."
