The days at Hogwarts

Just as he was about to ask, Monica grabbed him and pulled him out the door.
"Hermione, entertain your friends and tidy up the room on the second floor."
Hermione heard her mother's voice coming from afar, mixed with her father's feeble struggles.
Hermione tilted her head. They went shopping in the mall in the morning and had dinner in the restaurant at noon. It was already afternoon when they came back. It was indeed almost time for dinner.
There were only two children left in the huge house.
Hermione has been smiling since she saw Loren. She knew Loren would come as a guest, but she didn't expect it to happen so soon!
"How come you're here so soon..." Hermione's excited voice paused, "I mean, I didn't expect you to come so soon."
"There is almost no one in Hogwarts Castle, and Grandpa Bates hasn't come back yet, so Dumbledore sent me here." Loren was very sad. Grandpa Bates was no longer the Grandpa Bates who loved him before.
He took a big gulp of Coke to comfort his wounded heart.
"Oh, this is really..." Hermione tried to look regretful, "so pitiful."
She couldn't stop smiling, her heart was filled with joy. Although it was a bit immoral, Hermione sincerely hoped that Grandpa Bates would enjoy his trip and stay for a few more months instead of coming back so soon.
This way Loren might be able to stay at her house for the entire summer.
She had never been very sociable at school and had few friends. After going to Hogwarts, she completely lost contact with her classmates there.
Although my parents are with me during the holidays, it is still less fun than having fun with other kids during other holidays.
Build blocks together, trim flowers and plants together, eat ice cream together...
Hermione is very excited. This holiday, she will have her own friend!
"Come on, let's go clean up the bedroom where you'll sleep tonight!" Hermione took Loren's hand and ran upstairs.
The Grangers' villa is a three-story building. In addition to the regular living room, kitchen and dining room, the first floor also has an office, a study and a toy room for Hermione. The second floor has two bedrooms, a toy room for Hermione, a study for Hermione and an office for the Grangers. The third floor is basically used as a storage room.
For the Granger family of three, this villa is obviously too big, and many rooms are not used. Maybe the Grangers will have other children in the future, but they have no plans for it now.
Lauren saw Hermione's happy smile and was also infected with joy. The Grangers were easier to get along with than expected.
He asked, "Which room are we going to clean up?"
Hermione pointed a white finger at a white wooden door, "Follow me."
She pushed open the door. "This is my toy house, but my toys can fit in the room on the first floor, so I use it to store other things."
As a girl who has loved reading since childhood, she doesn’t have many toys and all her books are kept in the study. This room is mainly used to store some handicrafts.
The walls that caught Loren's eyes were filled with a variety of paintings, with childish brushstrokes and full of innocence. The paintings were mostly maple leaves, trees, and other things, as well as children's paintings of a family of three. There were shopping bags made of plastic bags folded into thin strips, and kittens and puppies made of wool everywhere...
There's even a stethoscope.
From these works, Loren seemed to be able to see the little Hermione, with her cute little face, doing her handicrafts carefully and seriously.
"You must have got an O in the handicraft class," Loren exclaimed.
Although Hermione received praise for showing her childhood works, she still felt shy.
"Stop looking at it!" she said. "Move these things to the storage room on the third floor. This room will be your temporary bedroom."
Loren was very disappointed when he heard this, "I thought I could sleep in the same room with you."
Hermione was so embarrassed that she punched Loren hard, allowing the two of them to regain the familiar atmosphere of getting along.
Hermione dragged out a few cardboard boxes from somewhere and put her handicrafts into them one by one, intending to stack them neatly and carry them upstairs.
Loren tugged at Hermione's clothes, motioning her to step back, "We are wizards."
Loren waved his wand, and the handicrafts lined up and jumped into the boxes by themselves, but the paintings remained on the wall.
"Let's leave the painting on the wall as decoration." Loren thought this was appropriate.
"No!" Shame drove Hermione to reject the proposal and put away all the paintings.
Use levitation magic to make the cardboard boxes fly into the storage room on the third floor, and with a cleaning spell at the end, the room was tidied up.
Hermione looked around the empty house and clapped her hands, her heart full of longing for holiday life: "When Dad comes back, I'll just buy a bed and a table!"
Loren felt that it was not a good idea. It was fine to provide him with free food and accommodation, but it was not appropriate to buy large furniture for his short-term stay. Even if the Grangers did not mind, this amount of money was nothing to them, but Loren could not get over it.
He paused for a moment, then said to Hermione, "I want to see your room."
"It's right next to it!" Hermione didn't notice Loren's thoughts and happily took Loren to see it. She specifically chose this room next to her bedroom.
After breakfast in the morning, Hermione was dragged out by her parents to be a dress-up doll for the whole day. She didn't have time to fold the quilt, so the bed was a mess.
Only after Loren was pulled in did Hermione realize that she was blushing, but it was too late to regret now.
Loren looked at the style of the bed, then the desk and bookshelf, and he had an idea in his mind.
Hermione stared at her slippers, her toes wiggling. The little witch wanted to burn the quilt with a fire spell, and put the study of the forgetfulness spell on the agenda.
When they left the room, before Hermione had time to feel secretly happy, she saw Loren use the Transfiguration Spell to create a bed, desk and bookshelf according to the layout of Hermione's room.
Even the carpets are identical.
Hermione's mood suddenly became complicated. This Transfiguration was great, but it was not permanent and needed regular maintenance. After Loren left, the place would return to its original state. She still hoped that Loren would have a place here for a long time.
With this thought in mind, Hermione brought over her spare sheets and quilt.
"These have to be real to stay warm," Hermione said seriously, looking at Loren before climbing into bed and struggling to put on the sheets.
Loren looked at the midsummer sunshine outside, shook his head, and climbed up to help Hermione with the work.
Perhaps it was a tradition of the Granger family. Just like her parents disagreed with Hermione using magic to shrink her front teeth, Hermione believed that real sheets and quilts were more comfortable.
Without magic, making the bed was still too tiring for the two children. They both wanted to make every place tidy, but it only added more trouble.
After being busy for an unknown amount of time, Hermione and Loren collapsed on the carpet, leaning their backs against the bed to rest.
A few strands of Hermione's hair stuck to her forehead and the corners of her mouth, and she was too lazy to straighten them.
Loren's body was not strengthened, so he was a little tired and gasping for breath.
"Coke comes flying!" Loren waved his wand and a lazy voice sounded.
The unfinished can of Coke on the table on the first floor flew up, turned a few corners, flew over the stairs, flew into the room they were in, and landed in Loren's hands.
Because he needed to summon a briefcase to carve the magic circle in the alchemy laboratory, and he had repeated it countless times, he had become very proficient in the use of this summoning spell.
Loren took a sip and let out a contented sigh.
Hermione blinked and looked at the Coke. She wanted to drink it, but her summoning spell was not so proficient, and she didn't want to go down to get it.
Hermione shook her shoulder and bumped into Loren beside her, humming twice.
Loren looked at her in feigned bewilderment.
Hermione stared.
Loren suppressed his laughter and still looked at her blankly.
If it was the beginning of the new semester, Hermione would have thought that Loren was truly confused, but after a year of getting along with him, she had already seen through this man's true face.
Hermione didn't indulge him at all. She snatched the Coke directly, pulled out the straw, and gulped down the rest of the Coke from the bottle.
Loren looked at the empty bottle in astonishment, Hermione looked at Loren proudly, and they both smiled and laughed.
This was a feeling Hermione had never experienced before. She had no brothers or sisters, nor any friends to invite to her home to play. Her parents spoiled her, and she could eat whatever she wanted since she was a child, as long as it was not excessive and would not harm her teeth.
So this bottle of Coke snatched from someone else seems very delicious, and even my heart is filled with sweetness.
Hermione enjoyed this state very much and was in a talkative mood. She talked to Loren about various things, including that Loren would stay for about two weeks and that they would go camping in the Forest of Dean.
Loren brought up the three bottles of soda water below, and Hermione and the Grangers didn't touch a single sip while they were on the table. At first they drank with straws, but later they both drank from the bottle mouths, and the last bottle was split in half between them.
My belly felt round after drinking, my mouth tasted sweet, and my laughter never stopped.
"Hermione! We're back!" a voice suddenly came from downstairs.
Hermione and Loren looked at each other, stood up hurriedly, and prepared to go downstairs.
Hermione stood up and felt a little uncomfortable in her stomach. She made a bitter face and looked pitiful: "Oh no, I will definitely be scolded if I can't eat tonight."
Her little belly was already bulging and filled with happy water.
Their family had always been very moderate in drinking, but under Loren's guidance, Hermione made a mistake without realizing it.
"I'm a guest at your house. Your parents will definitely not scold you." Loren smiled and comforted her. He was also full of anger.
"No..." Hermione groaned twice as her bloated stomach groaned. She didn't want her parents to think that Loren was a bad boy and would lead her astray by drinking beverages.
Loren suggested, "Then just stand up and walk around until you pee."
When Hermione heard this, she blushed and hit him.
After hiding the drink bottles, the two went downstairs to greet the Grangers.
The sun outside was heading west, and had not yet set. The clouds in the sky were slowly catching fire, and the light yellow was turning into orange. The setting sun was about to burn out a fiery red cloud.
The Grangers carried bags and packages through the door and into the kitchen.
Hermione could tell at a glance that tonight's dinner was going to be very sumptuous, and her expression became even more bitter.
"Hermione, how is your room being cleaned?" Monica asked loudly in the kitchen. "Wendell, go take a look and call the furniture store to order some things. They should be able to deliver them."
The couple had agreed on the way to take care of Loren's feelings and not let him feel that he was being watched or have any embarrassing thoughts. All their actions were very natural, and they treated Loren like Hermione.
Wendell asked about the room and went upstairs with a smile. He wanted to measure the size so that he could call and place an order.
Hermione's mind was completely distracted and she tried hard to pee and empty her stomach, but it was no use.
Watching her father disappear upstairs, Hermione asked anxiously, "Loren, what should we do?"
Chapter 125: Gain Favorability
Loren held back her laughter. Compared to the know-it-all Miss who always had her own ideas and was successful at school, the little girl who was anxious at home because she drank too much and couldn't eat dinner was particularly cute.
He looked outside the house. The sun was golden outside. He said, "Let's go to your backyard and take a walk. Walking will help digest the water in our stomach."
"Really?" Hermione poked her head towards the kitchen. Monica had just started preparing the ingredients, so it would probably take some time before dinner could start.
She nodded and led Loren to the backyard.
The bright floor-to-ceiling windows lead to the backyard, with green lawns and trees outside.
The courtyard is very large, more than half the size of the house. A few steps ahead of the French window is a cement platform, a little over a meter wide. A row of low shrubs is formed, and in front of the shrubs is a flat lawn, with a small tree standing upright in the middle of the lawn. A circle of tall green trees is planted along the three exterior walls, and it is hard to tell what kind of trees they are.
There is a lush green under the golden sunshine and the air is exceptionally fresh.
Hermione was no longer so anxious.
Loren squinted his eyes slightly, then opened them again to adjust to the light, and asked, "Why is it all green? Aren't there any flowers?"
The two of them walked slowly in the yard, stepping on the soft grass, breathing the fresh air, and the sun was not as hot as it was at noon.
It was also the first time for Hermione to come to the backyard after her vacation. She talked here and there, looked upstairs first, and then whispered, "All the flowers my father planted died, so he changed to planting trees and shrubs that are easy to survive..."
Before he could finish his words, a window upstairs was pushed open.
Hermione looked over nervously.
Wendell leaned out of the window and asked loudly to the two people below: "Where did the furniture here come from?"
Even though they were on a floor apart, Loren could clearly see the excitement on Wendell's face.
Without waiting for Loren and Hermione to answer, he waved his hand and shouted, "It's magic, right? I have to take a good look at the bed you conjured up with magic."
Wendell disappeared again.
Hermione coughed lightly and said, "Don't worry about it. My father has a strange understanding of wizards."
Loren nodded slightly, and it was obvious.
Hermione didn't want him to pay too much attention to her father, so she quickly continued to introduce, "The small tree in the middle was planted by me."
Speaking of this, Hermione's face showed some more pride, and the girl's voice was full of pride: "We went shopping together as a family. My father bought a lot of flowers, and I bought a sapling. But only the sapling survived. It is the longest-lived plant in this garden."
"What about the trees around here?" Loren asked, pointing to a circle of trees along the outer wall. Those trees were taller and larger.
Hermione glanced upstairs again and whispered, "I transplanted these from outside after all my father's flowers died."
"When I'm at home, I always want to prune the bushes and trees, but I can only do it on weekends under their supervision. During the week, I can only water them."
Hermione pulled out a water pipe from somewhere and started watering the plants.
Her eyes were bright, and she carefully restrained the urge to wave the hose and spray in the distance. She said, "After I went to Hogwarts, I hired someone to trim my hair regularly."
