It's Ginny.

Chapter 535 Christmas Ball (Part )

Harry's observation was interrupted by Ginny's arrival.

The girl, who was so familiar to him, now looked angry, as if she was irritated by her dance partner, Michael Corner, who was chatting with his friends not far away.

After gulping down a drink, she asked, "Are you guys going to sit like this for hours?"

"Of course not..." Harry said automatically.

"Then let's go dance?" Ginny bravely invited, "Even Uncle Eric doesn't dance only with Fawkes. Do you want to stay with her alone?"

Harry didn't know what he was thinking. Under Ron's shocked gaze, he accepted Ginny's invitation and walked onto the stage.

Halfway through, they happened to pass Hermione who was taking a break. The breathless little witch was also very surprised, and then turned to look at Ron who was alone.

"Sorry, Viktor, I think I need to rest alone for a while. You can find another girl to dance with." She said softly and walked away without waiting for the other party to reply.

-----------------

After the dance, Furong was obviously still a little unsatisfied, but Lin En politely let go of her hand.

"You dance very well. There will be many people who want to dance with you." He said politely, "I can't take away the opportunity that belongs to the young people."

Furong, whose wish had been fulfilled and who knew Lin En's thoughts, did not force it and left lightly.

Not long after, she accepted the invitation of an Ilvermorny wizard. Like an elf on the dance floor, she displayed her charm happily and flexibly, becoming the focus of attention.

On Lin En's side, when he was about to meet Euphemia, he was blocked by another beautiful girl.

"Professor, I saw it all." Doris looked at him mischievously. "As your favorite student, I cannot allow favoritism to happen."

"...Where's that brat Boyce?"

"He can't jump anymore and is resting down there. You can jump better than him, right?"

“So there’s a way to provoke someone.” Lin En looked at her half angrily and half amusedly. After a moment’s thought, he said cheerfully, “In that case, let’s dance.”

He extended his hand in an invitational gesture, and Doris, whose plan had succeeded, smiled slyly like a little fox.

A few seconds later, the two people started dancing again and turned on the dance floor. Their movements were light and swift, drawing a winding path in the crowd, which was completely different from before.

After the same song, Professor Foley, looking refreshed, opened his arms, gave Lynn a big hug in a surprise attack, then quickly ran off the stage and returned to Euphemia with a silvery laughter.

——Then she got a sharp slap on the head. She pouted and sat down, covering her head with her hands.

With the precedent set by the two of them, more and more girls came up to her. Lynn was about to refuse, but she saw Amelia Bones sitting in her seat through the crowd.

And there was Euphemia's silent eye hint.

"It seems that I can't go back for a while." Lin En shook his head and stopped caring about what was happening over there.

In the blink of an eye, three or four more songs were played, and the dancers on the opposite side were replaced by familiar or unfamiliar faces - even the lively Ines came to join in the fun.

A dance party is essentially a purely social occasion where people who know each other or don’t know each other get together and naturally become familiar with each other.

Sometimes this even includes people of the same sex.

When another waltz ended, the witch in front of him changed from a seventh-year Hufflepuff to Hermione.

"Professor, do you mind if I interrupt you for a moment?" Unlike the others who were smiling happily, Hermione was not in a good mood. Without waiting for a reply, she took Lynn's hand and jumped up a little awkwardly.

She was clearly not in the mood for dancing.

Lin En also knew it very well, and asked in a low voice: "Did you encounter something unhappy?"

Hermione looked a little struggling. She bit her lower lip and said softly, "I think Ron is a bit annoying."

"How do you say this?"

"He is a mean and unreasonable fellow!"

Hermione gritted her teeth and couldn't stop talking once she started, she kept complaining about Ron's faults.

From the reaction when he learned about the dance, to the unpleasant words when inviting a dance partner, to the sarcasm today.

Every word she said went straight to the heart of the matter. Even Lin En couldn't find any fault with it and could only let her do her best.

It took a long while for Hermione to vent her anger. She stared at Lin En, who was smiling bitterly, with an embarrassed look on her face.

"I'm sorry, Professor. I lost control of my temper and caused you trouble."

"It's not that he's causing any trouble. Ron is a rascal and really isn't popular. I'll write a letter to Molly and ask her to educate her son properly." Lynn said half jokingly and half seriously.

Hermione froze for a moment, her expression flustered.

"That's... not necessary." The little witch stammered, "It's just some small things. It won't look good if Mrs. Weasley knows about it and tells others."

"You are quite good-tempered."

Lynn smiled as he looked at his little assistant whom he had personally trained. He glanced at Ron, who was fidgeting in the corner, with the corner of his eye. He sent out a signal of threat and warning, which frightened him so much that he trembled all over. Then he nodded with satisfaction.

"Strictly speaking, as a teacher, it's hard for me to interfere in your friendship," Lin En said slowly, "but from a friend's perspective, I can give you some advice."

"I'd love to hear your opinion," said Hermione, almost stepping on the dancing Principal Pollach and Sinistra, nodding apologetically.

"For a long time, you have been so close, almost like a family and brothers, which makes you subconsciously ignore each other's gender."

Lynn carefully observed Hermione's specially groomed hair. "So sometimes he will subconsciously talk to you about controversial topics in the same way he talks to Harry, which will lead to conflicts."

"Yes, Professor, I really didn't like the way he talked about Delacour and Aegis Midgen."

"You did the right thing. A person's appearance can never outweigh a kind and beautiful heart." Lin En praised, "But I think Ron's words are not entirely sincere. After all, he is a person who often speaks without thinking and cares about his reputation."

"Yeah...that's why I always act like an idiot." Hermione said angrily.

"Indeed." Lin En replied with a smile, "Remember what I said to you a few days ago? This kind of campus life is something that many people envy."

"I don't see why I should envy you..."

Just as the song was over, Lin En stopped and lowered his voice a little: "The most enviable thing is that you have a lot of time to deepen your understanding - whether it is talking or arguing."

"What do you mean?" Hermione asked, puzzled.

Lin En quietly pointed at Ron in the distance and said, "Look at how nervous he is. He probably knows that he has done something stupid, but he just doesn't understand why he is stupid, and he is even less willing to give in."

Hermione nodded vigorously. This was exactly what she disliked most about Ron.

"What should I do then?" she asked.

"That depends on you, Hermione. How you want to get along with your friends and how you want to communicate with them will of course determine the results you get," Lynn said patiently.

"Getting along, communicating, is there still a choice?" Hermione seemed to understand, "Okay, professor, I'll think about it carefully."

"Remember the house-elves thing? I told you something then that applies just as much now."

"You mean... standing in the other person's shoes?"

"You really have a good memory and are very understanding. The same is true between friends." Lin En said, "I will respect and support you, and you can come to me for advice at any time, as long as you trust me as a friend."

"...Of course!" Hermione's big watery eyes flashed with a bright color, "Thank you! I understand!"

A bright smile appeared on her pretty face with delicate makeup, and the little witch, whose heart knot was resolved, picked up her skirt and ran away.

Lynn smiled and shook her head, feeling the ease of talking to an intelligent person, and paced back to her round table - Amelia had already left, and the others were still dancing.

Only Euphemia was still sitting there drinking her drink. When she saw him finally come back, she pulled out a chair and said with a sweet smile, "You are really welcome, Professor Eric?"

"You're making fun of me again. If it weren't for Amelia, I would have come back a long time ago. To be honest, dancing is quite tiring. It's not tiring only when I dance with you." Lin En picked up the juice on his girlfriend's table and drank it all. He exhaled comfortably, "By the way, I also solved the friendship and emotional problems of young people."

He pointed at Ron and Hermione who were walking out of the hall together. Euphemia rolled her eyes and understood most of what he meant without her having to say anything.

"That's very thoughtful of you," she said.

"One is my assistant, and the other is a kid I watched grow up. Which side of my hand is not flesh?" Lin En shook the empty glass in his hand and sighed, "Sometimes I still feel that it's good to be young. There are no real worries. By the way, what did she talk to you about just now? Why didn't you let me come back?"

Euphemia sighed, "I knew you would ask in the end... It's not a big deal. There was a little trouble in old Crouch's ward - someone poisoned his medicine and Amanda found out. It happened at 8 o'clock tonight and is under investigation, so she has to rush back and asked us to meet another day."

"It's really not a big deal." Lin En nodded and changed the subject to invite, "If you've rested well, do you want to dance again? Time is running out."

"Well..." Euphemia smiled sweetly and deliberately dragged out her tone, "I'm happy to do so."

The blue figure rose gracefully and took the stage again with a sweet breath until the Weird Sisters finished their last song.

It was already midnight, and Christmas of 1994 passed peacefully amid unprecedentedly warm applause and the sighs of young people who hoped that the Christmas would last longer.

At least that's the case at Hogwarts.

Chapter 536 You and I Are One

Because of the revelry the night before, everyone got up late on the second day of Christmas, including Cedric, who had always been diligent.

Because he and Pavla chatted and admired the moon in the flowers outside the auditorium last night, he stayed in bed today, which was unusual for him.

It was not until ten o'clock in the morning that Lynn saw him in the office, along with Doris and others who were also sleepy.

"You came at the right time." Lin En closed his notebook while writing at his desk. "Christmas has passed. It's time to put the things we agreed on before the holiday on the agenda."

"When are we going to set off, Professor?" Furong, who was in the best spirits, walked to the front and said confidently, "With the experience I had last time, I will do better."

"I also believe that you will all do better." Lynn smiled and nodded. "In three days, Regulus and Inès will take you to Egypt, where you will meet a very good wizard - he will also be a professor in the new semester."

"New...professor?" Boyce's face was full of questions. "Don't we have enough professors? Who is leaving?"

"Professor Kingsley Shacklebolt, his transfer order was brought by three Ministry of Magic officials yesterday at noon. After the Christmas holiday, he will complete the handover with the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, and then return to his Auror post to continue working." Lynn said.

Cedric asked, "Professor, can you tell us who the new professor is?"

"Of course, it's no secret. Dumbledore's letter of appointment to him is on the way, Alastor Moody."

"Mad-Eye!" Doris exclaimed, "He actually came to Hogwarts to be a teacher?!"

"Yes, Doris, I'd like you to keep your voice down a bit if possible." Lynn pointed calmly to the inner room.

Doris suddenly realized what was going on and quickly covered her mouth, but it was too late - Euphemia, who had been woken up, had just changed into a robe and walked out of the living room.

"The Leviathan stronghold in North Africa is relatively weak, and it is also the only place where it is confirmed that there are no remnants of false gods. You can learn something from Moody and get to know more people."

She said tiredly, "The people in charge there are Victor's men and some people from the Order of the Phoenix. You have to obey the arrangements, there is no other help."

"Let me add one more thing," Lynn said, "You will not only experience combat over there, but also tracking, observation, analysis, and comprehensive judgment."

"Although I'm not as good at magic as everyone else, I will try my best to help in this regard." Pavla took the initiative to stand up, her face tense, "Leave it to me!"

"I have complete confidence in your ability, Pavla." Lynn looked at her approvingly, and then glanced at the four students with different expressions, "And all of you. Go on vacation, and don't forget the competition after school starts. I'll be looking forward to it."

The slightly teasing look made Furong think for a moment that Lin En also knew what happened outside the auditorium last night. She panicked for a moment, but quickly adjusted herself and said confidently:

"I'm almost there finding the secret of this golden egg. Of course I can do both. Don't worry, I won't bother you anymore!"

After saying that, she walked out of the office first and headed straight for the library - it was obvious that the actual situation on her side was not as easy as she said.

Cedric and the others did not stay any longer and said goodbye one after another, apparently going to the Room of Requirement to study the golden egg together.

Nominally, these are the last few days of vacation, but no one seems to really want to use this time to rest.

The adult seniors and the middle and lower grades who still had a student mentality formed a sharp contrast at this moment.

After they left, Euphemia, still very sleepy, yawned and sat on Lynn's lap, and asked weakly, "Should we tell her that Bill is going to Egypt too?"

"It's better for you to go and talk to her. After all, she is your student now, so this is the right thing to do."

"Who does she regard as her real teacher? Who is she learning every move from? Don't you know it clearly in your heart?"

"Is there any difference between you and me? The more she imitates me, the more she resembles you."

"Don't talk nonsense!" Euphemia said coquettishly, "If you don't want to go, forget it. I'll go to the library to find her later."

"It's good to give her a surprise, and at the same time give Cedric and Doris more pressure and motivation." Lin En opened the notebook on the table again and said as he read it, "One day these young people will take over our work, be able to stand on their own, and accomplish great things. It's not good to interfere too much."

"That makes sense." Euphemia thought for a moment and nodded, "Then I'll listen to you and not say hello in advance - what you wrote is..." She saw the golden crown hidden behind the book.

"Let me think... Is this a Christmas present? I met with Rowena this morning and discussed your last guess. This is the result. Maybe it will be of some use."

"Unexpectedly——"

Euphemia was so surprised that she couldn't close her mouth. She picked up the book and read it carefully, then hugged Lin En and kissed her hard.

With just one page of paper, the problem that had troubled her for a long time was solved, and she also gained a lot of new inspiration and enlightenment.
