Heber almost laughed out loud.

After the Egyptian Lostbelt, all of her stats had reached an extraordinary level, but her strength remained the only thing that hadn't improved.

This time, the dream did not provide a way to another place, but it successfully filled the last gap in Heber's shortcoming.

Heber went down the grand spiral staircase and came to the martial arts garden on the left side of the corridor courtyard, where dummies were displayed and the training swords left by visitors from past generations were sealed.

These training swords were arranged in order from light to heavy. Heber had been here before, but she could only pick up the lighter ones.

But now she walked directly to the far right and picked up the heaviest training sword - it was more like a block of iron than a sword.

"It's still a bit difficult with one hand..." Heber felt it for a moment, "If I use both hands, it will be no problem."

The giant sword, like a block of iron, slammed heavily on the ground and then was quickly raised.

The sword drew an arc in the air and tilted down again to smash it down.

Heber held the hilt of the sword with both hands, and the movement looked quite clumsy. It hardly looked like he was swinging the sword, but rather like he was being led by the sword and could fall at any time.

But if someone stood in front of her at this moment, they would never think so, because although the terrifying sword was not sharpened, it still blocked all possible escape spaces, just like a huge rock collapsing from a narrow hillside, with no way to avoid it and no way to escape.

This wasn't a technique Heber had ever learned, but rather a "memories" left within the weapon by those who had once used this training sword.

It can be derived from the "Sobek Training" and quickly transformed into Hebe's own ability.

But this is not the most efficient way. The most efficient way is to find a sparring partner with superb swordsmanship.

ps: There is one more picture. I will send you my thoughts on the release after I finish posting it.

Volume 57: I've grown

Heber believed that such a large city as Brancuig would never lack talented swordsmen.

The problem was that she couldn't find a sparring partner she could trust.

Heber mentioned this request during a regular dinner in the tavern.

"Looking for me." Mordred came over with the stew. "By the standards of the Eastern Kingdom, I'm at least a swordsman."

"Leaving aside the level of swordsmanship..." Heber scooped a spoonful of stew, "What exactly is the standard for being called a 'Master Swordsman of the East'?"

Mordred wiped his hands on his apron, his expression slightly nostalgic.

Morgan told her this knowledge after she came to the human world and regained her body.

"'Scarf Father' practices the path of his authority in Albion, while in the East Country he verifies the art of combat and slaughter. Based on the level of cultivation, there are three ranks: 'Swordsman', 'Sword Master', and 'Sword Saint'."

At the swordsman level, apprentices practice various sword techniques taught in the dojo, cultivate their body and mind, and through long training, align themselves with the spirit of the founder of the school, thereby comprehending the unique skill called "Secret Sword".

If apprentices want to complete their studies and become masters, they must master at least one secret sword.

This was indeed a system that Heber had never known before. She realized that in the East Country's system, there was also the term "apprentice". Could this also be an extension of the path of sublimation?

Precious asked a similar question, and she also realized this.

"All systems are inseparable from the path of sublimation." Mordred replied, "The same is true in the Eastern Kingdom."

But just like growing from the same seed in different directions, the Eastern Kingdom's system began to become different at the Sword Master level.

The standard for measuring a swordsman is not to obtain a mark and be promoted to the daytime.

Rather, it is whether this person can use the secret sword as easily as his own arm and apply it to every sword he swings.

In other words, as long as one can achieve this... even if one is only at the Qiming level, one can be considered a famous swordsman and be qualified to open his own dojo and teach others swordsmanship.

On this basis, it is "Sword Saint", but it is not Dusk.

If the swordsman can still barely correspond to the daytime, then the sword saint has nothing to do with dusk at all.

Morgan had only roughly described this system to Mordred. In the Fairy Queen's evaluation, all the Knights of the Round Table could be ranked as swordsmen. If they were fully armored, it would not be difficult for them to continuously kill swordsmen.

Modred did not describe the Sword Master in detail because, in her knowledge, the Sword Master did not exist at all.

The former Knight of the Round Table looked at Hebe with implicit expectation, waiting for the girl in front of him who looked like a sage to make an invitation.

Heber saw the eagerness in "Xiao Mo's" eyes. After a moment's thought, she stood up and invited him: "Xiao Mo, could you be my sparring partner for a while?"

"It's a great pleasure, my lady." Mordred bowed very gentlemanly.

The two of them left the tavern, leaving Precious still holding the spoon in his hand, thinking.

After a while, Precious finally realized, "...Could it be that Xiao Mo is a Daylight-level hero?"

And then she realized something even more surprising.

Hebe and Mordred were heading towards the fog-shrouded metal bridge that led to the Silent Bookstore.

Before this, the bell of Silent Bookstore had rung nine times.

"Could it be that Xiao He is the new manager of Silent Bookstore?"

Precious pursed his lips and angrily placed the entire large pot of stew in front of him.

......

Martial Arts Garden.

This time Hebe did not choose the greatsword, but another slightly smaller but equally heavy sword.

Below the weapon rack, some of the deeds of the original owner of this training sword were stated in cursive script.

——"Skadi's training sword."

"Ys, Atlantis, Agol... all of these names refer to the once-thriving city now submerged in the ocean. It would be dangerous and unwise to rashly receive visitors from Atlantis, but at least one visitor from the deep has visited this place and left behind a replica of her weapon. To Ms. Skadi."

The sword is heavy, with the tsuba being independent of the plane of the spine, ground separately, and with six serrations extending on either side.

The whole sword is not very sharp. The best way to use it is to hit the opponent and then drag the sword to break it into two pieces.

Mordred picked up a training sword at random, then tilted it at an angle, attacking with a posture that Heber was somewhat familiar with.

Even though his face was covered, and even though he was holding only a training sword without red thunder and fire, Mordred still exuded a spirit that could be called "pride."

Reminiscent of a lion cub.

'It's you,' Hebe thought calmly.

Then she stepped forward and struck with her sword.

Mordred raised his sword to block...but failed!

The former Knight of the Round Table's eyes widened.

What a terrifying power!

At this moment, Mordred instantly separated Hebe from "Merlin".

How could that light-hearted court sorcerer who was good at using illusions be the girl who was displaying strange powers in front of him?

After realizing this, Mordred's expression became somewhat solemn. While stepping back to relieve the force, she turned her wrist and pressed the training sword against the greatsword in Heber's hand.

With Mordred's wrist strength, plus the weight of the training sword itself, she was sure this should exceed Heber's limit.

But what made her lose composure again was that Heber swung the greatsword with one hand and swept away the training sword that she had placed on it.

Then the greatsword swept across again.

Mordred laughed in anger - could this really be considered swordsmanship?

This is clearly relying on one's own extraordinary strength to suppress others.

She raised her leg and kicked Heber's sword, leaning back.

This action did not cause Mordred to lose his balance, but instead he managed to get under Heber's sword in a very strange way.

She swung her sword and struck Hebe's knee.

However, the greatsword returned to defense once again—Hebe loosened his right hand that was holding it, and at the moment when it was about to fly out of his hand, he grasped its hilt with his left hand and then smashed it to the ground.

The greatsword pierced the ground, just blocking Mordred's attack.

The training swords collided, making a crisp cracking sound.

——The sword in Mordred’s hand was intact, but the cracks on the sword in Heber’s hand were rapidly extending and turning into fragments at an extremely fast speed.

Sobek's training worked.

The swordsmanship that once caused a frenzy in the deep sea now belongs to Heber.

She looked at Mordred calmly, at her face that looked nothing like the one she remembered. "Thank you very much."

Mordred woke up as if from a dream.

She felt a little regretful, even an indescribable sense of self-blame—why did she use such dangerous swordsmanship on Heber?

If Heber hadn't reacted in time, the sword would have even broken her leg.

"It's my fault." Mordred was even a little embarrassed. She apologized hurriedly and then fled away.

Hebe stood in the green martial arts garden, silently watching Mordred's receding back. She almost reached out to grab Mordred, but ultimately did not do so.

She just watched Mordred go away.

Suddenly, Hebe put his hand on his forehead and laughed softly.

It turns out that Mordred, who lived in the countryside, was not that kind of person. It seems that Morgan taught her well.

"Grow up now, Xiao Mo."

ps: I will post my thoughts on the launch later

Volume 1: Remarks on the launch

How can I say it, it's that time again.

It will be on the shelves tomorrow.

Old readers who are familiar with me know that when I give my comments on the release of a book, I will probably share some of my thoughts and experiences. Well, this time is no exception.

Let’s first talk about Heber’s character.

Now, Heber is a person who is passionate about exploring the Lostbelt and is curious about the unknown. She never boasts about how many people she has saved, nor does she think she is necessarily on the side of justice, but objectively speaking, she has indeed helped more people survive.

Hebe was not insensitive to emotions, but she did not feel that she deserved to be loved - not because she was self-deprecating, but because she was too clear-headed.

She is the kind of person who would not hesitate to put herself on the gambling table for a better result, let alone put "emotions" and "love" on the line. But in Heber's cognition, emotions are difficult to clearly define, and love cannot be gambled.

Yet Hebe knew the price of this and was willing to accept it. As the saying goes, it's better to suffer eternal damnation than to seek salvation from the saints. Hebe made a promise to everyone, but the price was herself.

Of course, when she was willing to take a gamble with fate, wouldn't the people she saved lend her a helping hand?

Will do.

Hebe promised them that everything would be in order, so I also want to promise Hebe that everything will be fine and there will definitely be a happy ending.

Next, let’s talk about stitching. I think many people are confused. Hajiqing, how many world views have you stitched together and how many elements have you integrated into them? Can you really grasp those characters with different personalities?

Well, how should I put it...When I was designing this book, I first made the world setting.

The real world is based on the world of Arknights and integrates the modern worldview of Type-Moon, while the so-called "simulated world" is presented in the form of a strange loss belt. When Hebe rewrites history, the results of her changes will also be reflected in the real world.

The power system is my own design, with reference to the Esoteric Simulator and Type-Moon.

If it was Yue Mei, it would be easy to tell. Marks and achievements could be replaced with skills and treasures.

The Esoteric Sect, Type-Moon, and Ark are the three pillars of our world. But what about others like Toyokawa Shoko? Their settings have been reworked and integrated into this worldview.

Most of the characters on stage possess certain distinct characteristics, stacked like building blocks. Some blocks with the same characteristics can be replaced at any time, but the key is to keep the blocks stacked and prevent them from falling. The appearance of the Toyokawa family is a foreshadowing of the Eastern Kingdom Volume.

Next, let’s talk about the update issues that readers are most concerned about.

I'm currently 19 chapters behind (thanks again to Rendaino Usami and the Eighth Consul, Canlang, for their treasure chests). Honestly, without those two chests, I'd probably have finished my round of recommendations. I'm willing to let the people of this world down and not make money. No matter what, I have to finish this book, and write it beautifully, otherwise I'd be letting down the brothers and sisters who tipped, subscribed, bookmarked, and voted.

After all, I'm an old loser who has completed all the books on the shelves. How can I throw away this little credibility?

Oh, it’s for this reason that I still feel a bit like I’m in a dream - this result is a bit beyond my expectations, even a bit unreal.

Really, really thank you.

The update standard is two updates a day. As for the issue of the sudden update after it is put on the shelves...it's mainly because I have to work until the 27th, so I'm afraid I will have to wait until New Year's Eve to write a few more. Please understand.

Theoretically, I shouldn't offer a bounty in my current state, but I guess I'll just put some pressure on myself.

I will be satisfied if I have 200 subscriptions. If there are another 100 subscriptions, I will add one more update - this will be valid until the book is completed.
