"True heroes never fight for power."

Under the night sky of New York, Xiao Han was suspended above the clouds, thinking about today's experiences.

The magical knowledge of Kamar-Taj opened a new door for him, allowing him to have a more complete understanding of the power system of this world.

Stark Tower Laboratory

Tony Stark was staring intently at the nanostructure model in the holographic projection, his fingers constantly moving in the air to adjust the molecular arrangement.

His workbench was littered with various metal fragments and energy cores, as well as a half-empty cup of cold coffee.

"Jarvis, adjust the seventh set of parameters." Tony said without raising his head, with obvious dark circles under his eyes.

"Sir, you have been working for 36 hours straight," Jarvis reminded.

“Due to health protocols...”

"I wrote the health protocols, Jarvis." Tony smiled and waved his hand. "Now, the parameters."

The holographic projection immediately switched to a set of complex molecular structure diagrams.

Tony narrowed his eyes and suddenly snapped his fingers excitedly: "That's it! The energy conduction nodes need to be rearranged!"

At this moment, a voice suddenly sounded behind him: "You are going in the wrong direction."

"Ah!" Tony was so scared that he almost jumped out of his chair, and the tools in his hand fell to the ground with a crisp sound.

"Damn it! Xiao! Can you please go through the main door like a normal person?"

Xiao Han stood in the center of the laboratory, the golden patterns on his black battle suit flickering slightly under the light.

There was a hint of a smile on his face: "Sorry, I'm used to it."

Tony rubbed his temple and picked up the dropped tools: "So, where is the great Mr. Superman?"

Xiao Han walked towards the workbench and glanced at the holographic projection. "Kama-Taj, the magical holy land on Earth."

Tony raised an eyebrow. "Magic? I thought you'd learned enough of those magic tricks in Asgard."

"Different."

Xiao Han shook his head and lightly ran his fingers across the holographic projection. The molecular structure immediately reorganized into a completely new arrangement.

"Asgard's magic is more like a combination of technology and divine power, while Kamar-Taj's magic is pure dimensional energy manipulation."

Tony stared at the reorganized structural diagram, his eyes gradually brightening: "Wait... this method of energy transmission..."

“More efficient, right?”

Xiao Han smiled, "Magic and technology are essentially the use of energy, just through different methods."

Tony suddenly turned and rushed to another holographic terminal: "Jarvis! Record this structure! Recalculate energy loss!"

Xiao Han looked at Tony who was in a frenzy and shook his head gently: "You study first, I have something else to take care of."

"and many more!"

Tony shouted without turning around, "You still haven't told me about that magical sanctuary! Can they really conjure fireballs out of thin air? Or can they just teleport with a wave of their hands like in the comics?"

"almost."

Xiao Han shrugged, "But it requires the assistance of a specific magical tool. Their Supreme Mage wants me to take her place."

Tony turned around abruptly, his eyes wide. "What? You're going to be a magician?"

"Rejected." Xiao Han walked towards the French window, "I have my own plan."

Tony breathed a sigh of relief, then asked curiously, "Is the Sorcerer Supreme very powerful?"

Xiao Han thought of Ancient One's eyes that could see through time: "It's much stronger than you think."

"Stronger than you?" Tony demanded.

Xiao Han was silent for a moment: "In some respects, yes."

This answer made Tony's expression become serious. He put down the tools in his hands and walked over to Xiao Han: "How many powerful beings are there in this world that I don't know about?"

"A lot." Xiao Han looked out the window at the New York night view, "That's why I need to become stronger."

Tony nodded thoughtfully, "So what's your plan?"

Xiao Han did not answer directly, but asked: "Do you know mutants?"

"Mutants?" Tony frowned.

"You mean those X-gene carriers? I've heard some rumors, but there's almost no reliable information in SHIELD's files."

"Because most of them are living in seclusion in various places." Xiao Han turned and walked towards the door of the laboratory.

"Maybe I should go talk to them."

Tony took two steps forward: "Wait, why are you suddenly interested in mutants?"

Xiao Han stopped and looked back at Tony: "Because in this world, mutants are one of the few beings that may threaten me.

I need to understand them, especially...someone who can manipulate magnetic fields." Xiao Han started to make up stories, and Magneto might be knocked out by him with one punch.

Xiao Han paused for a moment, then suddenly laughed, "But before that, I have to go teach a few naughty kids how to use their abilities."

"Kid?" Tony looked confused.

"A few children who accidentally gained super powers." Xiao Han shrugged.

Tony wanted to ask something else, but Xiao Han had already turned into a black stream of light, passed through the glass window and disappeared into the night.

"Jarvis," Tony stared at the direction Xiao Han left, "retrieve all the information about mutants, especially those who can manipulate magnetic fields."

"It has been retrieved, sir. But the information is very limited," Jarvis replied. "Do you need to contact Professor X?"

Tony raised his eyebrows in surprise: "Professor X? You mean the dean of the Mutant Academy?"

"No, sir. But based on the analysis of network traces, he is very likely one of the mutant leaders."

Tony walked back to the workbench, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "Wait a minute. Let's finish the structure Xiao gave us first. When the nano armor is completed..."

He looked at the night sky outside the window, a confident smile on his face: "Maybe it's time for me to meet these mutants."

new York

Xiao Han was suspended a thousand meters in the air, his super hearing spreading out like an invisible radar net, capturing abnormal sounds around the world.

A minute ago, his super hearing picked up three voices arguing fiercely.

He adjusted his hearing frequency and locked onto the source of the sound, a deserted industrial park in Brooklyn.

Abandoned industrial area

The afterglow of the setting sun shone on the open space. Three college students stood beside a pile of rubble in a solemn atmosphere.

Andrew squatted on the ground, his fingers unconsciously fiddling with a piece of gravel, making it float a few centimeters above his palm, and then gently put it down.

He had dark circles under his eyes, as if he hadn't slept well for a long time.

"We have to find a way." Matt pushed his glasses up and said in a low voice, "That stone...it's not right."

"What's wrong?" Steve scoffed. "It gave us super powers! It's a fucking miracle, okay?"

"Then it was a miracle that Andrew almost threw a car on someone last night?" Matt asked back.

Andrew raised his head suddenly, a trace of pain flashed in his eyes: "I said it was an accident! I just..."

His voice choked, his fingers trembled slightly, and the gravel around him began to vibrate.

"Hey, relax, bro." Steve frowned and reached out to hold his shoulder, but Andrew shook him off.

"Do not touch me!"

The rubble suddenly exploded, scattering like bullets.

call!

A black shadow fell silently

All the flying debris stopped in mid-air for a moment, and then slowly fell back to the ground.

The three of them froze at the same time and looked up at the tall figure.

Black battle suit, golden patterns, deep eyes with no anger, only a calm scrutiny.

"You are...the Superman with Tony Stark today..." Matt muttered, almost dropping the tablet in his hand.

Xiao Han didn't speak immediately. His eyes swept over the three people and finally stopped on Andrew.

The boy's eyes were red and his fingers were clenched tightly, like a string stretched to its limit.

"What did you find here?" Xiao Han asked in a gentle voice.

The three of them looked at each other, and finally Matt spoke: "A piece of... glowing stone. It's in the cave."

Xiao Han nodded and looked towards the deep mine: "Can you take me to have a look?"

Chapter 19 Xavier Academy

Deep in the cave

The blue crystals were suspended in mid-air, like a frozen galaxy, their light flickering with the rhythm of breathing.

Xiao Han stood in front of it, his super vision penetrating the surface and seeing the energy veins flowing inside.

"It's beautiful, isn't it?" Andrew suddenly said, his voice very soft. "It's like it has life."

Xiao Han did not deny: "It is indeed beautiful."

"When we touch it, we can make things fly." Steve scratched his head.

"It was just a little thing at first, and then..."

"Then it began to affect you." Xiao Han continued, his gaze returning to Andrew, "especially you."

Andrew's shoulders trembled: "How do you know?"

"Because your energy response is the strongest."

Xiao Han took a step closer and said softly, "What did it plant in your heart? Anger? Or... loneliness?"

Andrew's breathing quickened, his fingers digging into his palm unconsciously: "It makes me...strong."

"Being strong isn't a bad thing," Xiao Han said, "but strength is like fire. It can keep you warm, but it can also burn everything."

Matt couldn't help but interrupt: "What on earth is this stone?"

Xiao Han was silent for a moment: "I'm not sure. But it doesn't belong to Earth."

Steve's eyes widened. "Alien technology?"

"Or worse."

Xiao Han reached out and gently touched the surface of the crystal. Energy rippled outward, and a faint glow shone from his fingertips.

Andrew suddenly stepped forward: “Can you… take it?”

Xiao Han looked at him: "Do you want me to take it?"

Andrew lowered his head, his voice almost inaudible: "I can't control myself... Sometimes, I just want everyone to shut up."

The cave was quiet for a few seconds.

Xiao Han asked in his heart: "System, can it absorb this thing?"

[Yes, host! You come closer.]

Xiao Han withdrew his hand and looked at them: "I can take it away. But your ability will not disappear."

"What will happen to Andrew?" Matt asked nervously.

"That depends on him." Xiao Han looked at Andrew. "Ability is a tool, not a master."

Andrew bit his lip and said nothing.

Xiao Han didn't urge him anymore, but just stood there quietly.
