Xiao Han paused slightly, nodded, and continued walking.

This simple action seemed to open some kind of valve, and people in the audience stood up and applauded.

When the two men pushed open the door of the parliament, there was thunderous applause and cheers behind them.

Senator Stern stood alone on the podium, the gavel in his hand hanging in the air, and finally fell down powerlessly.

The hearing ended in an eerie silence.

When Xiao Han and Tony walked out of the Parliament building, thousands of people had gathered outside.

They held up signs supporting Superman and cheered.

"Can I have your autograph?" A little girl timidly handed over her notebook.

Xiao Han squatted down and took the pen: "What's your name?"

"Alice," the girl replied, blushing.

Xiao Han wrote in his notebook "To Alice - With great power and great responsibility"

Then sign your name.

Tony raised an eyebrow at the side: "Stealing a quote?"

"Anyway, the original author won't mind." Xiao Han stood up, nodded to the crowd, and then, under the escort of security personnel, walked towards the Audi R8 with Tony.

The moment the car door closed, Tony breathed a sigh of relief: "God, I almost thought you were going to sweep across the parliament with your hot eyes."

Xiao Han fastened his seat belt: "They are not worth it."

The engine roared as the sports car drove away from the Parliament building.

In the rearview mirror, the crowd was still cheering and the flash lights were flashing.

"so."

Tony turned the steering wheel. "Where to next? Save the world or get coffee?"

Xiao Han looked at the passing street scene outside the window: "Go to your building first, then go home. Wanda is still waiting for her training class."

Tony whistled. "Wow, who is Wanda? She's hiding a mistress so soon?"

"She's a mutant," Xiao Han said calmly. "She's very capable, but she needs guidance."

"Mutants, alien technology, magic." Tony shook his head and sighed.

"My life has been a mess since I met you."

Xiao Han rolled his eyes: "But you enjoy it."

Tony didn't deny it, but just stepped on the accelerator and let the sports car speed away on the streets of Washington.

Stark Tower Laboratory

The silver-gray elevator door slowly slid open, and Pepperpots walked in holding a stack of documents, her high heels making crisp sounds on the marble floor.

She was looking down at the data pad in her hand, her blonde hair tied into a neat bun at the back of her head.

"Tony, I've put the quarterly financial report you requested in..."

Her words stopped abruptly, and she looked up to see a strange figure standing in the lab besides Tony.

Xiao Han had his back to her, and his charming profile looked even more charming under the light of the laboratory.

He turned around when he heard the voice, his eyes glowing a faint gold in the light.

Pepper's eyes widened slightly.

"Oh, Pepper!" Tony poked his head out from behind the workbench, a sparking circuit board in his hand.

"You've come just in time. Let me introduce you. This is our new shareholder, Xiao Han."

Xiao Han nodded slightly and gave a polite smile: "Ms. Boz."

Pepper quickly adjusted her expression and put on a professional smile: "Mr. Xiao, I've heard a lot about you. Tony often mentioned you."

"I hope it's not something bad." Xiao Han's voice was gentle.

"Quite the opposite."

Pepper placed the documents on the table, her eyes lingering on Xiao Han's battle suit for a moment. "He said you are the smartest person he has ever met."

Tony spread his hands exaggeratedly: "I never said that!"

Pepper rolled her eyes at him and turned to Xiao Han: "Although you hold shares, it seems that you never participate in the company's decision-making?"

"I'm not interested in business." Xiao Han said lightly.

“I only have ideas about technology itself.”

Pepper nodded, seeming satisfied with the answer. "That's perfect. It saves me from having to deal with another headstrong board member like Tony."

Tony covered his chest pretending to be hurt: "Hey! How am I willful?"

"Need I list them?" Pepper raised an eyebrow.

"Since you came back, our entire military industry has disappeared, and last week..."

"Okay, okay!" Tony interrupted quickly and winked at Xiao Han.

"See? This is why you can't mess with women. They're so scary."

Pepper snorted lightly, picked up the coffee on the table and took a sip. "I'm just here to deliver the documents, you guys continue. By the way, Tony, are you going to Monaco to watch the game on Thursday?"

"Let's talk about it after I'm done." Tony replied perfunctorily.

She nodded to Xiao Han and turned to walk towards the elevator.

After the elevator door closed, Tony breathed a sigh of relief and turned to walk towards the central workbench: "Women, you never understand."

Xiao Han looked towards the elevator, thoughtfully saying, "She's very smart."

"Too smart," Tony muttered, his fingers tapping rapidly on the holographic keyboard.

"Sometimes I really doubt that she is the CEO."

The holographic projection lit up, showing a brand new set of armor designs.

Unlike the previous streamlined style, this set of armor is more angular and uses a retractable vibranium structure at the joints.

"A new prototype of the Mark armor, made with nanotechnology plus the Uru metal you gave me, and a little new technology from Asgard that you gave me." Tony spun the model excitedly.

"Energy conduction efficiency is improved by 40%, while the weight is only one-tenth of the previous generation."

Xiao Han walked closer to observe, his super vision penetrating the projection, analyzing every detail: "The shoulder joint needs to be strengthened. It is prone to overheating during high-speed maneuvers."

"That's been taken into consideration." Tony scrolled down a submenu.

"I added liquid cooling, but it takes up 3% of the power output."

"Replace it with Uru metal." Xiao Han pointed to the shoulder armor.

"Asgard's energy circuit can solve this problem."

Tony's eyes lit up: "Yeah! Why didn't I think of that!"

He immediately modified the design, and the lines of the uru metal formed a complex runic pattern on the shoulder armor.

The two of them discussed technical details and time passed quickly.

After a long time, Tony suddenly stopped what he was doing, leaned against the table and looked at Xiao Han: "I remember what you said before Pepper came? That Wanda, is she related to me?"

Xiao Han put away the hologram and put his hands in his pockets: "Her parents died in an explosion in Sokovia. The murderer used a Stark Industries missile."

Tony's expression froze instantly.

"She and her twin brother hid under the rubble for three days, and a dud landed in front of them with your name printed on it." Xiao Han's voice was calm, but it made Tony's fingers tighten unconsciously.

"Obadiah," Tony whispered, a cold look in his eyes.

"As expected, those weapons were definitely smuggled out, and I had no idea about it."

"Does she know?"

Xiao Han shook his head: "Even if I knew, so what? The facts will not change."

The laboratory fell silent, with only the hum of machines echoing in the air.

"Once she calms down, I will try to persuade her, although this has nothing to do with you." Xiao Han finally said.

Tony looked up at him. "Do you think she'll listen?"

"She is stronger than you think." Xiao Han walked towards the floor-to-ceiling window.

“Hatred can blind us, but the truth always finds a way.”

Tony nodded thoughtfully, then suddenly asked, "Why are you helping her?"

Xiao Han showed a meaningful smile: "Guess."

He raised his hand, and golden sparks drew a perfect circle in the air. The other end of the portal was the living room of the Long Island villa.

Wanda was sitting on the sofa reading a book and looked up when she heard the noise.

"See you tomorrow, Tony." Xiao Han stepped into the portal and his figure disappeared in the golden light.

Tony stood alone in the lab, the blue light of the holographic projection shining on his face.

He was silent for a long time, then suddenly slammed his fist on the table.

"Jarvis, start the Clean Energy Plan."

"All of it, sir?"

"All."

Tony's voice was firmer than ever before, "Shut down all production lines and divert funds to medical care and energy.

Also, contact the families of the victims, especially those in Sokovia."

He looked at the New York night view outside the window, his eyes flashing with determination.

This time, he wants to atone for his sins in his own way.

Chapter 42: Strength is not the answer, it is the tool

In the living room of the Changdao Villa, a golden portal slowly opened and Xiao Han stepped out.

Wanda was sitting cross-legged on the sofa, holding a book in her hands. Crimson energy was faintly visible at her fingertips, flowing gently as the pages turned.

She looked up at the noise, her red hair gleaming in the sunlight streaming through the French windows.

"Mr. Xiao, are you back?" She closed the book, her voice much clearer than when they first met.

"Just call me Xiao."

Xiao Han nodded, took off his coat and hung it on the coat rack by the door: "The hearing is meaningless, it's just a formality."

Wanda's eyes fell on him, and she was about to say something but stopped herself.

Finally, she asked softly, "Xiao, do you know Tony Stark?"

"Ah."

Xiao Han walked to the kitchen and poured a glass of water. "I just became a shareholder of Stark Industries some time ago. I can be considered a partner."

Wanda's fingers unconsciously clenched the pages of the book, and her knuckles turned slightly white.

Xiao Han glanced at her, without urging her, but just leaned against the counter and waited quietly.

After a few seconds of silence, Wanda finally spoke, her voice so low that it was almost inaudible: "Does he...know me? Turing said you know my past, you know what I mean."

"I know." Xiao Han put down the water cup, "He has seen your information."

Wanda's head shot up, a flash of red in her eyes. "Did he say anything? About Sokovia? About those missiles?"

Xiao Han looked her straight in the eyes: "He said that those weapons were smuggled to Hydra by Obadiah Stani, and he was not aware of it."

"Uninformed?" Wanda sneered, and the chaos magic in her palm burst out uncontrollably, burning a charred mark on the book.

"A Stark Industries weapon, with his name on it, killed my parents, and now he claims he had no knowledge of it?"

Xiao Han did not refute, but just raised his hand and tapped lightly. A golden energy barrier confined the out-of-control magic around the sofa, preventing it from affecting the living room.
