"Or worse."

Fury whispered, "An unrestrained god is the greatest threat himself."

The conference room fell into a brief silence.

"Action time?" Natasha broke the silence.

"tomorrow."

Fury turned off the hologram. "Stark has a party in Monaco tonight and will be flying back to New York tomorrow. We'll meet him at the airport."

Natasha stood up with a faint smile on her lips. "I hope he won't be too resistant to a friendly meeting."

Fury didn't respond, but turned and walked towards the door, his one eye narrowed in the darkness.

"Remember." He paused in front of the door.

"Whether he wants it or not, the world needs Superman."

"And we are the ones who persuaded him."

On the other side

Xiao Han, who was standing on the balcony of his home, glanced in the direction of S.H.I.E.L.D.

"Come on, let me see how you guys are going to invite me?"

Wanda walked onto the balcony with a fruit plate and saw Xiao Han staring into the distance, with a glimmer in his golden eyes.

"What are you looking at?" She put the fruit plate on the small table and looked in the direction of his gaze curiously, but she only saw the night sky of New York.

"nothing."

Xiao Han retracted his gaze and picked up a piece of watermelon. "Go and have a rest. We'll watch a good show tomorrow."

"Good show?" Wanda tilted her head, her red hair falling on her shoulders.

"What's the show?"

Xiao Han shrugged: "It's a game of mouse trying to catch cat."

Wanda blinked, even more confused, but seeing that he had no intention of saying anything more, she nodded: "Okay, then I'm going to bed."

She turned and left, but when she reached the door she couldn't help but look back.

Xiao Han was looking into the distance again. With a light flick of his fingertips, a golden portal silently opened. On the other side of the portal was a library.

Wanda pursed her lips, and finally didn't ask any more questions, and gently closed the balcony door.

The next day

New York Airport

Tony Stark's private plane landed slowly. Inside the cabin, he shook his red wine glass and listened to Jarvis' report casually.

"Sir, a suspicious person has been detected in the airport exit hall. SHIELD agents Natasha Romanoff and Clint Barton are waiting."

Tony scoffed and took a sip of his wine. "I thought he was some dangerous guy, but this is it?"

Pepper put down the tablet and looked at him worriedly: "Do you need to contact security?"

"No need."

Tony waved his hand and put on his sunglasses. "I want to see what tricks Fury is going to play this time."

After the plane stopped, Tony put his arm around Pepper's waist and walked out of the aisle at a leisurely pace.

As soon as I stepped into the exit hall, a slim figure came towards me.

Natasha Romanoff had her red hair loose, a tight black dress that outlined her perfect curves, and a faint smile hung at the corner of her lips.

"Mr. Stark, what a coincidence."

Tony stopped and looked her up and down behind his sunglasses, then grinned, "Agent Romanoff, is S.H.I.E.L.D.'s salary so low that you need to work part-time as a flight attendant?"

Natasha's smile remained unchanged, but her eyes grew slightly colder: "The Director wants to talk to you."

"Oh? What are you talking about?" Tony pretended to be surprised.

"If it's the Avengers plan, I already rejected it last time."

Before Natasha could respond, Clint stepped out of the crowd, his hands in his pockets, and stood beside her. "This time is different."

Tony raised an eyebrow: "Why, you brought helpers?"

Before he finished speaking, Nick Fury walked out of the side door, his black windbreaker fluttering and his one eye stern. "Stark, let's talk somewhere else."

Tony scoffed and turned back to whisper to Pepper, "Don't worry, dear. It seems our director hasn't given up yet."

Pepper sighed helplessly but nodded.

Airport VIP lounge.

Fury placed his hands on the table, staring directly at Tony with his one eye. "The Avengers Project needs you as a consultant. I won't interfere with your work normally, but will intervene when necessary."

Tony leaned back on the sofa, crossed his legs, and shook his head lazily: "Not interested."

Fury narrowed his eyes. "The world is changing, Stark. Mutants, alien technology, even gods... We need to prepare."

"what to prepare?"

Tony spread his hands. "A Nymphomaniac band? Sorry, I'm not interested in forming a band."

Fury clenched his fists slightly, but quickly relaxed: "Where's Xiao Han? What does he think?"

Tony took off his sunglasses, revealing a pair of slightly mocking eyes: "Fury, you've been rejected by me once, and now you want to be rejected again?"

Fury's face turned grim. "He's not you, Stark. Perhaps he would understand responsibility better."

Tony scoffed and put his sunglasses back on. "Sorry, he's not interested either."

Fury finally couldn't hold back anymore and said coldly, "What else do you have besides that armor? You're not even as good as Natasha beside me."

Tony paused.

He stood up slowly, his eyes sharp behind his sunglasses: "Fury, what did you just say?"

Fury didn't back down. "I said, you're just an ordinary guy relying on armor."

Tony was silent for a second, then suddenly smiled: "Okay, since you want to talk so much."

He snapped his fingers and said to Pepper, "Honey, it looks like we have to change our schedule."

Then, he looked at Fury with a playful look in his eyes: "Now, to my Malibu villa."

"Let's have a nice chat."

Chapter 59 The war begins

Malibu Villa

Nick Fury quickly led his team into Tony's luxurious villa and the elevator went directly to the underground training room.

The moment the metal door slid open, they saw Tony Stark standing leisurely in the boxing ring, tapping his fingers lightly on the ropes.

"Just in time," Tony grinned, opening his arms.

"Who wants to warm up first?"

Natasha jumped onto the stage without saying a word, her tight black combat suit outlining her perfect figures.

"Ladies first?" she asked, raising an eyebrow, already in a fighting stance.

Tony made a gentleman's bow: "Of course, beautiful lady, please go first."

Natasha's attack was fast, with a high whip kick going straight to Tony's temple.

But Tony just tilted his head slightly and grabbed her ankle with one hand.

He commented, "The speed is good, but the power is a little lacking."

Natasha's pupils shrank slightly, and she used the force to break free with a backflip, and launched a series of attacks the moment she landed.

Each of her attacks was precise and fierce, but Tony easily blocked them.

What shocked Nick was that Tony only used one hand the whole time, and even put the other hand in his pocket.

"This is impossible!"

Hawkeye murmured softly, his fingers clenching unconsciously.

Tony finally moved when Natasha threw a straight punch.

He grasped her fist with precision and gave it a gentle push.

Black Widow took several steps back and her back hit the ropes hard.

The training room was silent.

"If you were a different gender," Tony tilted his head, "you'd be embedded in that wall right now."

Dr. Banner and Adam exchanged a glance. The scientist quickly analyzed the situation.

"Muscle reaction speed is beyond normal, and strength is also abnormal."

Pepper sat on the sofa in the corner, scrolling through her phone without looking up.

Natasha glanced at Clint.

Hawkeye jumped onto the ring and formed a pincer attack with Natasha.

But even though the two of them worked together well, Tony still handled it with ease.

He even adjusted the position of his sunglasses between blocks.

"enough!"

Nick finally couldn't help but interrupt, "Stark, when did this happen?"

Tony spread his hands exaggeratedly: "What? There's something the Director of SHIELD doesn't know?"

Nick took a deep breath and narrowed his single eye slightly, "We need you to contact Xiao Han, right now."

"Oh?"

Tony raised an eyebrow, "Now you know how to be polite?"

Adam suddenly stepped forward: "Tony, we just want to talk. The world needs a guardian like him."

Banner also echoed: "We come with sincerity."

Tony stared at them for a few seconds, then suddenly snapped his fingers: "Jarvis, connect Xiao Han."

at the same time

In the living room of the Long Island villa, Xiao Han and Wanda were watching this farce through holographic projection.

Turing's mechanical voice sounded: "Sir, Mr. Stark's communication request."

Xiao Han patted Wanda's shoulder and asked her to wait for a moment, then said, "Take it."

"Hey, Xiao!"

Tony's voice came, "There are a few lost agents here who want to see you. Want to meet them?"

Xiao Han glanced at Wanda, who nodded slightly.

"Make them wait."

Hang up the communication directly

When the golden portal blossomed in the center of the training room, Nick subconsciously took a half step back.

Xiao Han stepped out, wearing only a black shirt and shorts, with Wanda following closely behind.

"It is said that."

Xiao Han looked around at everyone and said calmly, "Are you looking for me?"

The atmosphere began to change, and Nick Fury looked at Xiao Han.

He knew that the real negotiations were only beginning now.

Hawkeye and Natasha quickly took a few steps back, while Dr. Banner subconsciously pushed his glasses up with a complicated expression.

Adam stood there with a calm look, as if he wanted to see through Xiao Han's true nature.
