But she seemed afraid, her life was just as uncontrollable as Lu Mingfei's before, and she kept asking about Lu Mingfei's situation on the other end of the phone.

She wants to see him.

In an instant, Lu Mingfei was presented with two choices.

Either leave the wine cellar and embark on the battlefield to slay dragons.

Either go find that girl called Monster and stand with her.

These are two completely different paths.

Another choice, a word that sounds cruel.

Standing amidst the remains of Deadpool, Lu Mingfei hesitated.

Only boys hesitate.

Just then, a different message notification sound came from my phone; it wasn't Line, it was QQ.

Lu Mingfei glanced at it, and his pupils suddenly dilated.

It was an avatar with a dark purple full moon, and the ID was "Moon".

"Teacher Zhou Lan!" he replied instinctively, surprised that she had returned.

It was a link, and Lu Mingfei clicked on it.

The next second, the world changed before his eyes. Instead of a wine cellar, he found himself at the bottom of a dark and terrifying well, with spotlights shining down, making it look like a stage.

On the stage, a tender and lovely girl lies in the center, her body shriveled and bloodless. A disgusting man lifts her high and calls for the descent of the gods.

Lu Mingfei shuddered, and in an instant he was back in the wine cellar. The stench of blood and the smell of rust filled his nostrils, instantly sobering him up.

What Zhou Lan showed him was a possible future.

For some reason, he felt a pang of sadness.

In the picture, the girl is like a hollowed-out ear of wheat, lying alone in death with only her withered wheat clothes.

Lu Mingfei crushed the wine glass, and without even wiping the Deadpool's blood off his face, rushed out of the wine cellar.

After rushing out of Takamagahara, a speedboat appeared on the water outside the shop, seemingly out of nowhere.

He leaped up.

Before he could even take control, the speedboat seemed to have been programmed beforehand, cutting through the tide and speeding away on its own.

In the tunnel leading to the airport, the black Mercedes struggled to push through the crowd. In the back seat, a girl in a white taffeta knee-length skirt nestled like a delicate kitten.

She held the still-lit phone in her slender palm, cradling it in her arms.

She sent a lot of messages.

She was scared.

The Mercedes sped out of the tunnel and came to a stop on the road.

A whole row of cars was blocking the way; it was a dead end. Someone had already set up a road on this only route to the airport, waiting for the fish to take the bait.

They were members of the Fierce Ghosts, a group of madmen led by Herzog blocking the road. The leader of the madmen held a clapper in his hand, seemingly having been waiting for a long time.

This is a dead end. The girl in front of them has no way of escaping Tokyo; she is Herzog's chosen sacrifice.

As the clapper sounded, the girl, who originally possessed great strength, immediately clutched her head and collapsed onto the back seat.

Her pupils were dark, and many images flashed through her mind.

The car door was pulled open, and unrestrained laughter rang out. Uesugi Erii stared blankly as he dragged her out and she fell into the muddy rain.

It's so cold, she thought.

But the next second, a familiar scent burst through the rain, rushing into the blocked group of cars like a raging beast.

Lu Mingfei transformed into a dragon, shoving aside the fierce ghosts blocking his path. The scorching flames baked the torrential rain into a white, billowing mist.

His scaly hands carried a member of the Fierce Demon Clan, and step by step, his figure, shrouded in mist, resembled a demon crawling out of hell, towards the black Mercedes.

Through the eyes of that being, he saw the future.

Everyone has their own timeline, and he has found it; he wants to change it.

Lu Mingfei has this ability.

He is no longer a cowardly child.

Chapter Ninety-Five: Tokyo Love Story

Erii suddenly felt herself being picked up. When she opened her eyes, she saw a resolute face covered with dragon scales.

It's like a monster.

On many nights in love hotels, this person would lie on the other side of the room and talk to her about random things.

She thought she was about to die, but then the monster appeared.

"Don't be afraid, I'm here!"

Lu Mingfei spoke softly, his voice undiminished by the torrential rain.

He knew that a pair of eyes were watching him.

He always needs someone to give him a push. So be it, whether it's slaying a dragon or anything else, he always has to make his own choice.

A choice means having to select one of two difficult decisions, or at least one of them.

Regardless of right or wrong, instead of doing nothing like a useless person.

Lu Mingfei carried her as they walked through the rainy night.

The roads converged in his eyes, and he stopped in front of a shop with a soft, glowing light.

Surprisingly, there was no road left here.

This shop felt like the final destination.

In this city that is about to be swallowed by tsunamis and volcanoes, there is still a small shop open, emitting a soft and warm light.

A spotlight shone down from the shop's glass, illuminating the mannequin in the glass display case facing Lu Mingfei.

Lu Mingfei suddenly laughed.

He gently put the bewildered girl down from his arms.

"Wait me a moment!"

he said softly.

Then she suddenly whispered to herself, "Thank you, Teacher Zhou Lan!"

A motorcycle with a red and white paint job was parked in front of the store, and a voice recorder was placed on the seat.

This is one of the few locomotives that Lu Mingfei knows.

The Suzuki RG500, a very old motorcycle, also appeared in a very old Hong Kong movie, a romance film starring Andy Lau, one of the Four Heavenly Kings.

In the story, Andy Lau plays a small-time hoodlum who falls in love with a rich heiress. When he's penniless and on the verge of death, he drives this car, bloodied and battered, smashes the glass of a wedding dress shop, and escapes the world with his beloved woman.

Before them, a pristine white wedding dress shimmered under the spotlight, and the mannequin tilted its head slightly, as if the Virgin Mary were showing compassion to all living beings.

How can a boy grow into a man?

The answer is simple.

Lu Mingfei took two steps back, then charged forward, kicking the glass exterior wall to shatter it. Fragments of glass danced in the air like butterflies as he took down the wedding dress.

"so good!"

He suddenly exclaimed with relief, "Thank goodness I wore a suit today!"

The locomotive roared through the rainy night.

The voice recorder was in the breast pocket of his suit jacket; Lu Mingfei had pressed its button a minute earlier.

Surprisingly, it contained a song.

In 1991, Japanese singer Kazumasa Oda, who was in the 1980s, created a single called "Sudden Love" for a TV drama that became popular all over the world.

Lu Mingfei remembered the name of that TV series very clearly.

Tokyo Love Story.

The uncle's gentle voice flowed slowly around the Suzuki RG500, mixed with the whistling wind, ethereal as if sitting on a train far away from Tokyo.

"...Pu はforget れないこの日を君をWho れにも多さない.

...On this unforgettable day, I will never entrust you to anyone else!

"君のためにつばさになる君を胜りつづける.

How I wish I could grow wings for you, to hold you tightly in my arms!

"やわらかく君をつつむあの风になる.

Or perhaps it will transform into gentle breezes, comforting you at all times!

...The song and the wind harmonized as Erii gently stroked her white wedding dress, her innocent eyes filled with a hint of joy.

She had seen this kind of clothing before; at Meiji Shrine, a man in a suit was holding a woman's arm.

That's what clothes were like back then.

Pure white, like a white dove flying in the sky.

She felt like she was really flying, sitting sideways on the back of the motorcycle, one arm around the boy in front of her, the other arm raised high, her small hand reaching into the rain.

It was slightly chilly, but strangely warm inside.

She likes this feeling.

Just like not long ago, the boy stumbled into her room.

Lu Mingfei sped along the road he had come from.

He violently pushed the Suzuki RG500 to its limits, driving it at over 150 kilometers per hour towards the Tama River.

He crouched low, the roads converged again, and the motorcycle sped into the tunnel bathed in warm yellow light.

Everything in the world seemed to be making way for him; the crowds and cars parted to make way for him on a red carpet, and the girl behind him was writing words on the back of his suit.

The first word was in English; it was his name with the girl.

Then, with a gentle tap, Lu Mingfei suddenly smiled.

What a meticulous fool, even writing out commas, he thought.

The next three characters, stroke by stroke, were something Lu Mingfei could feel.

"Sakura, you're the best!"

The girl spoke silently in her own way.

Lu Mingfei gripped the handlebars tightly with both hands, and the motorcycle roared like thunder.

Inside the tunnel, he walked in the opposite direction, carrying his girl, towards the dense crowd fleeing westward.

In the torrent of people and cars, he was like a star moving backward.

This was a road trip wedding.

The boy will transform into a real man and become a qualified representative in this wedding.

A real man doesn't hesitate when faced with a choice: slaying the dragon or protecting the girl. Beyond these two options, there exists a choice that only a man would make.

He was going to bring his bride to the battlefield called Red Well.

Lu Mingfei finally burst out of the tunnel and into the torrential rain of the night.

The speeding motorcycle is like a masterpiece of youth, sharply cutting into the wall of wind, making the roadside scenery recede, as if traveling through time.

The oncoming downpour shattered into tiny, sparkling droplets on the motorcycle's windshield, leaving long, winding streaks of rain.

Erii wiped her eyes, and tears flew into the rain, spreading into long, glistening threads. She excitedly raised her arms and threw the lace wedding dress sleeves high into the sky.

Thunder ripped through the night sky, roaring like church bells.

In the Red Well of Tamagawa Ward, the eight-headed god was finally brought under control after awakening, and the maniacal laughter of Herzog, the mastermind behind it all, filled the bottom of the well.
