They did not believe that their king would die so quietly. In the hearts of the ancient dragons, their king was omnipotent, powerful, majestic, and terrifying. As long as they found their king, the Golden Tree would be nothing to them.

So these ancient dragons began their search for their king, and they searched for a very, very long time.

They continued searching even after the Elden Ring was broken.

Finally, one day they sensed their king. Above the thick clouds, they sensed his presence. Without any hesitation, they flapped their wings and soared straight up into the clouds. They didn't know how long they flew; time itself seemed to become chaotic within these clouds.

They clearly sensed this chaos, yet it excited them even more, for this was the very power their king possessed!

After flying for an unknown amount of time, they finally broke through the clouds and arrived at this shattered sky city, at Fam Azra, the city that once worshipped ancient dragons. But the tragedy began from here.

In the eye of the storm, they sensed the presence of their king, yet no matter how much they pleaded, he did not answer them.

They wanted to go in and take a look, but no matter how hard they tried, they couldn't get into the storm.

Just as they were losing heart and wanting to leave this shattered sky city, they were shocked to find that they could not leave this area. No matter which direction they flew, no matter how long they flew, they would eventually find themselves back in the shattered ruins of Fam Azra, back on the edge of that eternally roaring storm!

They are now imprisoned in this region forever.

The king's silence, the storm's rejection, the eternal prison.

This is the story I heard from Gu Long, a story of a pursuer who was ultimately banished.

Hearing this, Penglai Temple Jiuxiao felt depressed, and a sense of lingering fear welled up in her heart.

She had no idea how dangerous this place was.

After listening to Gu Long's story, Xiling stood up, patted her bottom, and said, "So that's how it is. Thank you for letting me know."

Gu Long noticed that after Xiling heard about the fact that she could never escape Fam Azra, there was actually a faint smile on her face.

This gave rise to a hope in its heart: could the other party have a way to get out?

It's not impossible. The one who ascended to the throne of Elden is no ordinary person. He might actually know the gap in this cage!

The voice of the "Silver King" Gu Long was no longer merely ethereal; it carried an uncontrollable urgency that even Penglai Temple Jiuxiao could detect.

"I would like to ask you, is there any way to leave this Fam Azra?"

Penglai Temple's Nine Heavens immediately turned its gaze to Xiling. She certainly didn't know the immediate method, but Xiling's words...

Xiling met Gulong's expectant gaze, her smile not widening, but appearing unusually resolute.

“There is definitely a way, but I have to do something first, and there’s something else I’d like to tell you,” Xiling said, looking at Gulong.

Upon hearing the words "method must contain five words," the ancient heart in Gu Long's chest seemed to be injected with powerful thunder, pounding violently!

Nothing drives a dragon to despair more than eternal imprisonment, and no word makes it yearn more than the certainty that there is a way!

As long as he could escape this damned cage… The ancient dragon suppressed his surging emotions and nodded with his massive dragon head: “Please speak.”

Xiling stepped forward, her silvery hair fluttering gently in the chaotic airflow:

“Then, I must say it, you, or rather, all of you—” Xiling’s gaze swept across the ruins, as if she could see the other ancient dragons trapped here as well, “Are you willing to accept the Silver Law?”

The words were concise, clear, and without the slightest bit of rambling.

However, these simple words were like a thunderclap in the depths of the ancient dragon's soul!

"Roar--!!!"

A furious dragon roar instantly shattered the silence of the ruins! The ancient dragon's massive body suddenly stood upright, like an enraged mountain, with countless dark red lightning bolts exploding, flowing, and converging on its surface!

Gu Long's ethereal voice turned furious:

"Are you trying to blackmail us? The Silver Law? Yet another shackle attempting to bind us!"

Xiling simply shook her head calmly in the face of Longwei's power.

“I have no intention of threatening you. However, now, as the sole king of the Borderlands, I bear the responsibility of order and duty. I must ask you, who exist in the Borderlands and possess great power, whether you are willing to accept the Silver Laws?”

Penglai Temple Jiuxiao thought the dragon would be furious and attack immediately, but when Xiling finished speaking, the lightning that exploded on the dragon's body slowly dissipated.

The reason the dragon stopped was because it understood what Xiling meant.

The word Xiling used was "acceptance," not "submission."

The other party seemed to be... confirming positions and rules? And, they emphasized their current identity and responsibility—"the only king".

""What do you mean?

Xiling met its probing gaze and clearly stated:

"I will achieve true unification of the borderlands on the foundation of the Silver Law."

"And when that moment arrives, the Silver Law will become the sole law that runs through the borderlands and maintains the balance and order of all things. It will not be a replacement for the Golden Tree, but a brand new, inclusive framework of order."

"I hope you can accept the Silver Law and recognize the universality of its rules. Then, become one of us."

"You want us to submit?"

"It could also be described as a collaboration."

"The Silver Law establishes a cornerstone for coexistence."

Xiling explained, “Accepting it means you agree with the rules of this cornerstone and retain your dignity, power, and—freedom—within this framework. This can also be understood as a deeper level of cooperation—for a new order where all beings can find their place.”

The ancient dragon fell silent, its massive head bowed. It recalled the power of the Golden Tree era, the shame and division brought about by Fulsanx's defection, and the cold, eternal silence at the eye of the storm.

In the end, the ancient dragon shook its head. It wasn't that it didn't accept it, but that it had no right to decide this matter, and it didn't even know who could.

perhaps......

Ancient Dragon's gaze involuntarily turned towards the center of the roaring storm—where the king they had sought for countless years lay asleep, yet remained silent until now.

That storm was their faith, and also their prison.

Xiling noticed its gaze, chuckled, and stepped forward. She patted the ancient dragon's paw: "I understand your difficulties, and I won't make things difficult for you. It was a pleasant chat with you, so I'll go and do what I need to do now."

Xiling turned around and looked at Jiuxiao of Penglai Temple, who was standing not far away. "Jiuxiao, you should go back first."

Penglai Temple Jiuxiao nodded; she had already guessed what Xiling wanted to do. Penglai Temple Jiuxiao deftly took off her starry cloak, quickly stepped forward, and handed it to Xiling:

"Xiling, you can do it!"

"Don't worry." After taking the Starry Cloak, Xiling flicked his arm and the cloak unfurled as if billowed by an invisible wind, landing steadily on his shoulder. Against the deep night sky, the twinkling stars seemed to come alive, flowing and shimmering behind him.

“Then I’ll go,” Xiling said, giving Penglai Temple Jiuxiao a relieved look.

Penglaiji Jiuxiao nodded and opened the chat group's teleportation panel to return to Remian's side.

Staying here will make Xiling worry.

Gu Long stared wide-eyed in disbelief at the sight of Penglai Temple's Nine Heavens vanishing into thin air.

How could it so easily break the constraints of Fam Azra's chaotic spacetime?

However, before it could figure out what was going on...

It saw Xi Ling move.

Without hesitation, without looking back.

Xiling strode towards the center of the destructive storm that was powerful enough to tear mountains apart and distort spacetime! His star-studded cloak fluttered behind him like a starry night banner unfurled in the gale.

As he moved forward, silvery-white magic surged forth from beneath his feet, like a living stream of light, rapidly spreading, condensing, and expanding!

A road constructed of pure silver-white light ignored the shattered ruins and chaotic spatial currents beneath its feet, piercing straight and firmly toward the core of the roaring black storm!

"Roar--!!!"

The ancient dragon finally snapped out of its shock and let out a roar that was a mixture of horror and disbelief! Its massive body tensed up abruptly as it stared intently at the silver path of light that led straight to the heart of the storm, and at the tiny figure on that path.

It gets it!

The place Xiling was going to was the eye of the storm that they had prayed for countless times and tried to reach countless times, but could never reach!

The place they're heading to! It's the location of their king! The location of that silent will!

But is this possible?

Can a storm that they cannot open be opened by one person alone?

And even if the other party enters that storm, what does he want to do?

What is he doing?

Ancient Dragon was unaware of, and unable to fathom, this matter, as the path paved with silvery-white magic attracted the attention of other dragons.

When they saw a figure standing on the path leading straight into the storm, the ancient dragons rose to their feet. They had seen an outsider; even if this was a cage, it was their cage, and no outsider was to intrude. However, just as they began to move…

Roar--

A dragon's roar resounded through the sky; it was the ancient dragon that had been conversing with Xiling!

Xiling didn't know what the ancient dragon said, but at its shout, the ancient dragons that were about to attack immediately stopped. As if they couldn't believe it, the ancient dragons looked at each other and finally turned their gaze to Xiling.

At this moment, all eyes were on one person.

Expectation, coldness, scrutiny, doubt... these emanated from the ancient dragons also imprisoned here. They ceased their actions, merely gazing silently at Xiling.

Xiling has reached the edge of the storm.

The violent air currents were like billions of invisible blades, enough to instantly turn fine steel into dust. The howling wind made the Starry Cloak dance wildly, and Xiling could even feel the tearing sensation on her skin. Time here became viscous and chaotic.

However, Xiling did not falter in the face of this terrifying storm.

"What does he want to do?"

"Could it be that he's planning to... just walk right in?!"

"Arrogance! Ignorance! That is a destructive force that even our dragon bodies cannot withstand!"

"How dare he commit such blasphemy!"

Various thoughts arose in Gu Long's mind.

But these ideas could not influence Xiling.

The will of the hero is the will to distort the world!

The magic of a hero is an invincible will!

Willpower is power!

Om-!

A burst of silvery-white magic suddenly erupted around him!

It spread with an absolute command! At this moment, Xiling's very existence became the anchor point of the law.

No incantations! No complicated rituals!

It was just a perfectly clear thought!

Storm, open the way for me!

Rumble——! ! !

A deafening roar, like the sky collapsing and the earth splitting apart!

The eternally roaring, indestructible, and dark storm wall that had devoured countless attempts by the ancient dragons underwent an unprecedented upheaval under the impact of Xiling's pure will and silver magic!

As if torn apart by an invisible giant hand! The violent turbulence rushed out and annihilated to both sides! A huge, round hole, with its edges flowing with shattered storm energy and fragments of spacetime, appeared right in the center of the storm barrier! The road paved with silver-white magic extended into it without any hindrance, piercing straight into the storm core that had been silent for countless years!

Time seemed to freeze at that moment.

All the ancient dragons, including the one that had spoken with Xiling, were frozen in a complete mental state. Their enormous dragon eyes were fixed on the massive hole and the path of light within it that stretched into the depths of darkness.

Amidst this extreme shock of Gu Long's collective silence and the collapse of his worldview,

Xiling took a step forward—

We stepped into the entrance to the storm barrier! We stepped into their domain—the domain of the king!

Xiling's figure, along with the dazzling silver-white road, was instantly swallowed up by the surging darkness and turbulent storm.

The energy at the edge of the hole fluctuated violently for a moment before quickly healing, and the storm resumed its roaring state as if the earth-shattering tear had never happened.

However, the shock that remained on the retinas and in the depths of the souls of all the ancient dragons left them staring, stiff and almost blankly, at the place where the storm barrier had been restored to its original state.
