"Professor Snape?"

Contrary to what he had done before, Robaz's eyes gleamed with a sharp light at this moment!

Kingsley frowned, his face grim.

"Are you sure, Mr. Slughorn? From this moment on, you will be responsible for every word you say!"

“If you don’t believe me, you can just bring Severus here,” Slughorn said casually. “He was the one who asked me to lie to the Aurors before. Once you bring him here, we can confront him face to face.”

Robaz turned to look at Kingsley.

"Where is Snape now! You said before that you had someone keeping an eye on him."

Kingsley stared at Slughorn for a long time before slowly speaking.

"He was at Budmington Estate, with his student."

Seven miles from Budmington Estate, an abandoned ranger's cabin.

Upon hearing Severus's words, Harry, Bloodny, and Wolpe all gaped, speechless for a long time.

Nearly 10 seconds passed before Volpe was the first to react.

He was a writer after all, and he quickly understood what Severus meant. He pointed to Henney.

"Professor Snape, you mean...you mean you're going to help him!"

Severus neither denied nor fully admitted it.

"Don't think of me as so noble. I'm trying to help him, but not entirely for his sake."

He was indeed deeply moved by the story of Bloody and Patty, but he wasn't that selfless.

Besides not wanting to see this unfortunate pair of "outcasts" who huddled together for warmth meet such an end, another reason was Dumbledore himself.

His involvement in this matter was because Dumbledore wanted him to showcase himself.

Since we've already shown it off, why not go all out!

He wanted to make a huge scene and let all the wizards in the magical world see what kind of person this Severus Snape, who no longer had greasy hair, really was!

At this moment, Bloodny realized what was happening and was at a loss for what to do. He wiped away his tears and kept thanking Severus.

"Professor Snape, thank you! Thank you so much, I don't know how to say it... but..."

Harry fell silent at this point.

His eyes were somewhat unfocused. He was young, but that didn't mean he couldn't think.

Severus, in that rainy alley, kept saying that he was one of the murderers of his parents, making him think that his teacher was no good person.

But what are the things that teachers need to do now?

In the magical world, is this something only those who follow demons would do?

Just as Harry was feeling confused, Severus had already stood up from his chair.

“If you want to save yourselves and Patty, then from now on you must follow my instructions.”

After he spoke, all three of them looked at him. Xueni and Volpe were already completely willing to be his lackeys!

"The first step is to steal Patty out of Budmington Manor!"

Bloodny and Wolper are not characters I created; they appeared in the original book at the first Slug Club gathering that Slughorn invited Harry to.

There's also Auror Robbaz, who is also a character in the original book. In the book "Half-Blood Prince," he took over as the head of the Auror office.

Of course, they were all just NPCs whose names appeared once in the original work, not even considered minor characters.

Chapter 35 Disappearance

Henry Madan is a special envoy of the Ministry of Magic stationed at Badmington Manor.

His father was French and his mother was English.

Therefore, Madan attended Beauxbatons School of Magic in France when he was young. However, his parents later had a falling out and chose to divorce, so he moved to England with his mother and took a job at the British Ministry of Magic.

However, this so-called specialist job is not an easy one at all.

Most of the Muggles in this manor are a bunch of arrogant fools who think the so-called special envoy is some kind of special department from the Muggle government.

Although they maintain polite manners on the surface, the underlying contempt is impossible to conceal.

If that were all, then so be it; Madan could simply ignore it.

But his truly difficult days only began after the Slytherin headmaster of Hogwarts stayed behind.

Madan knew perfectly well why Kingsley had agreed to let Severus stay.

He wanted to have himself spy on Severus, one of the most evil dark wizards ever!

But what can he do?

Madan had never attended Hogwarts, but he had long heard how terrible the Slytherin headmaster's temper was.

The employees newly recruited by the Ministry of Magic in recent years, apart from graduates of the other three houses besides Slytherin, almost all have complaints about their Potions professors.

Therefore, when Madan received this task, he was prepared to swallow his pride and endure difficulties from the very beginning.

To his surprise, Professor Snape was not at all as cruel and ruthless as the rumors suggested!

On the contrary, he was polite, calm, and charming. He would consider things from the other person's perspective and would never do anything to embarrass them.

Just like this morning, he informed Madan in advance that he was going out and left his students at the manor, so that Madan did not feel any difficulty.

Even if his student later had a minor accident and suddenly couldn't be found while playing with the Muggle kids in the manor.

Professor Snape remained calm.

Even before leaving to find his student, he comforted Madan, saying it wasn't his fault and that he shouldn't blame himself.

Then, before noon, Dudley, the student who had gotten lost after accidentally running out of the manor while playing, was found and brought back.

This made Madan breathe a sigh of relief. If Dali had really been lost, he would have felt guilty regardless of whether he would take responsibility.

"What's for lunch, Mr. Madan?"

Upon returning to the manor, Severus appeared as casual and relaxed as ever.

Ma Dan replied with a smile.

"The manor's butler said that tonight's lunch will be baked snails and fried steak."

“French cuisine? That sounds intriguing.” Severus said, heading towards the stairs. “I’ll go to Miss Patty’s bedroom first to check on her. Is she alone in the room?”

"Two Muggle doctors went in this morning, but they came out quickly. There should be no one inside now."

Watching Severus walk towards the third floor, Madan didn't think there was anything wrong with it.

The time before lunch was also a fairly relaxing time for him.

He returned to his room and set out some black tea and cookies.

But just as he opened today's Daily Prophet, wanting to find out what major events had happened in the wizarding world that day...

More than a dozen figures suddenly appeared one after another in his room!

Madan stared in disbelief at the Aurors that kept appearing and disappearing, and the newspaper in his hand fell to the ground without him even realizing it.

The first Auror to appear was recognized by Roman Dan; he seemed to be called Gadwin Robards, a skilled Auror who was considered a confidant by Rufus Scrimgeour, the current Auror Director of the Office, who had been grooming him as his successor.

Following closely behind is Kingsley Shackle, a well-known figure among the Aurors. He is a key member of the pro-Dumbledore faction and the person who usually handles work with Madan.

Following behind them were a large number of Auror elites, each holding a wand, wearing uniforms, and with serious expressions, looking ready to embark on some important mission!

After they landed, Robaz stepped forward and questioned Madan, who was still in a daze.

"Where is Severus Snape?!"

It was only then that Madan came to his senses.

He was somewhat dissatisfied with Robaz's attitude.

Although the other party has a bright future—the head of the Auror office is almost on par with the director of the Minor Office of the Ministry of Magic, and is the leader of the Ministry's standing military force—the other party has not yet succeeded Scrimgeour.

“He’s in the manor,” Madan replied curtly.

"Where in the manor!" Robaz asked impatiently, not caring about Madan's attitude.

"He went to check on that Muggle's health in Miss Patty's bedroom on the third floor."

Madan turned to look at Kingsley.

"What happened?"

Robazs had already led his men out, and Kingsley passed by Madan, sighing—half in response, half in self-consolation.

"It's probably a misunderstanding; once it's explained, everything will be fine."

After saying that, he led his men to follow Robaz and rushed up to the third floor of the manor.

The servants in the manor and the Somerset family were all taken aback by these menacing people who suddenly appeared!

Even with Kingsley, a familiar face, leading the way, the old butler who looked after the manor still hurriedly followed and asked who they were.

However, Robaz ignored him completely. He went all the way to Patty's bedroom on the third floor, then reached out to press the doorknob to open the door, only to find that it wouldn't budge.

The door was locked from the inside!

Robazs and Kingsley exchanged a glance; one's gaze grew increasingly excited, while the other's expression grew increasingly grim.

"Professor Snape, are you inside? If so, could you open the door? I think there's some misunderstanding we need to clear up in person."

Kingsley called out from outside the door, but Robaz had already raised his wand.

"Open the Alaho hole!"

With a simple unlocking spell, the door was completely opened.

The Aurors who were originally standing on either side of Robaz were now holding their wands up, ready to cast spells, and suddenly burst into the room!

However, the bedroom was empty.

Not only was Severus Snape absent, but Patty, who should have been lying in bed, had also vanished!

Only that wide-open window proves that someone had indeed been in this room before.

Everyone present fell silent.

The Aurors fell silent, some exchanging bewildered glances, all sensing that something big was about to happen!

Robaz quickly walked to the window, looked out, and saw the stone path that led from the manor villa through the lawn and garden to the outside.

He clenched his left hand, which wasn't holding the wand, into a fist, then turned to look at Kingsley.

"Can you still say now that this was a misunderstanding?"

Kingsley's face was extremely grim, and he took a deep breath.

"Professor Dumbledore must be informed of this matter immediately!"

"Then go quickly," Robards said coldly. "Go tell him what kind of person he chose to protect, someone who has been a teacher at Hogwarts for eight years!"

The update at noon might be a little late, posted no later than 3 PM.

Chapter 36 Hogwarts always believed in his innocence

Regarding Severus Snape, and the escape of the victim of the poisoning case.

Robbarz and Kingsley immediately reported this to the Ministry of Magic.

Rufus Scrimgeour, the Auror's chief of staff, was furious upon receiving the news!

This old Auror, who had been dedicated to fighting dark wizards since Voldemort's rise to power and the Death Eaters' most rampant era, was not on good terms with Dumbledore.

This can actually be seen from the attitude of his designated successor, Robaz.

Snape, a Death Eater who should have been punished and tried at the time, was protected by Dumbledore, which further fueled Scrimgeour's dissatisfaction with Dumbledore's faction.

Snape's actions now amount to a blatant violation of the Wizarding Law, and further prove that he is directly involved in this potion poisoning case!

So immediately, Scrimgeour and the Director of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement went to the office of Minister of Magic Millicent Barnold and obtained the highest warrant to prepare for the arrest of Severus Snape!

Before the arrest warrant was even fully issued, the news media in the magical world had already come knocking.
