But just as Old Barty put down his wand, the door to the study on the second floor was suddenly opened from the inside!

Countless blinding red beams shot out from within, all of which struck Old Barty precisely!

The first five spells shattered the protective armor spell on his body immediately, and the following spell struck Old Barty!

The powerful impact of the spell sent him flying, crashing heavily into the wall behind him before finally collapsing helplessly onto the carpet.

Barty's wand, affected by the disarming charm, had been lost somewhere. His body was stiff and he couldn't move, but his eyes were fixed on the people in the study.

Under the dim light, a pale-faced young man sat with his legs crossed on the exquisitely crafted, uniquely designed high-backed chair.

His hair was messy, he was wearing a white shirt and black overalls, and he was playing with a magic wand in his hand. His young face looked like he was only in his early twenties at most!

A group of people had gathered around him!

Fenrir Graybuck, Dolphin Roll, Bruno Selwyn, Dino Perkins

These people include notorious werewolves, wanted criminals who have been on the Ministry of Magic's radar for years, fugitives who escaped the great trial, and wicked dark wizards!

But right now, all these people are gathered around that beast, his son!

"Look, look, everyone!"

The young man shouted.

"This is my father! A bastard who controls his son with a soul-stealing curse! A corrupt scoundrel who bends the law for personal gain! A hypocrite who is two-faced! A piece of trash as weak as a maggot!"

The group of thugs surrounding him burst into laughter!

Old Barty's eyes were bloodshot as he stared at the young man he had given the same name as himself, the one he had always been proud of and on whom he had placed his hopes. There was no pleading or sadness in his eyes.

There was only a faint sadness and pity.

"How do you think I should repay him for taking care of me over the past five years?"

The young man grinned menacingly and raised his wand.

Chapter 89 When did I betray the Dark Lord?

His words and actions terrified the thugs around him.

The group of dark wizards, who were all much older and more experienced than the young man, looked at each other in bewilderment.

They all assumed that the young man would at most teach the Director of Magic a lesson and humiliate him, after all, the other party was his biological father and had rescued him from prison.

However, they were all clearly wrong.

They underestimated the madness and ruthlessness of this loyal follower of the Dark Lord!

"Heart-breaking and bone-cutting!"

The Unforgivable Curse, which directly affects the soul, was so easily used from the young man's wand!

Old Barty writhed on the ground in agony, as if his bones were being burned by fire!

"In these past five years, do you remember how many Soul-Stealing Curses you've cast on me, Father!"

The young man was laughing loudly; he was laughing heartily and unrestrainedly.

“I remember! I’ve memorized every single spell you cast! I’ve been waiting for this day! I’ve been waiting all along! I will return it all to you! All of it to you!”

"Heart-breaking and bone-cutting!"

"what!!!"

The intense pain even caused Old Barty to break free of the spell that had been cast on him. He screamed and rolled and twisted on the ground as if he had been thrown into a cauldron of boiling oil in purgatory.

"Do you know how much I've been looking forward to this moment ever since you swapped my mom for me?!"

Do you know how much pain your ignorance and stubbornness cause me?!

"You taught me from a young age to be worthy of the Crouch family's honor and to be proud of my bloodline!"

“I did exactly as you said! I followed my master, and I firmly support the rule of pure-bloods! I hate those bastards and mudbloods! And yet you say I’m wrong!”

"Do you know how desperate I felt when I pleaded with you in court and saw that you didn't even see me as your son!"

"You don't understand anything! You don't care about Mom or me! You only care about yourself!!"

"Extremely painful!!!"

Old Barty had stopped struggling. His whole body was convulsing, drool was dripping from his mouth, and his eyes were staring blankly at the ceiling. Apart from his still rising and falling chest, he was as if he were dead and could no longer make a sound.

After another Cruciatus Curse was cast, the entire room became extremely quiet.

Even the most notorious villains were now completely silent.

They had seen such scenes before; the Cruciatus Curse was nothing new to dark wizards. What truly unsettled and unsettled them was that someone would actually use such a curse on their own loved ones!

"It's time to give you a quick death," the young man said, panting and laughing.

He raised his wand again and recited the spell that had no undoing and could so easily take a life!

"Avada Kedavra!"

A green light flashed at the tip of the wand, just before the deadly spell was cast.

Old Barty, who was lying on the ground, was suddenly affected by some kind of magic and floated up, gliding rapidly in one direction!

The killing curse ultimately landed on the floor, leaving behind a charred, black void.

"who is it!"

The young man suddenly turned his head toward the stairs, and the villains behind him all drew their wands again!

A tall, slender figure slowly walked up the stairs.

As he climbed the stairs, the lights that had been off gradually began to come on.

When the bright light shone on him, everyone present saw who it was!

"Long time no see, Barty Crouch. I thought you were long dead in prison."

The newcomer spoke insincere lies that only a certain ghost could discern and scorn, and greeted young Barty Crouch Jr.

"Severus Snape!"

The person who exclaimed in surprise was Grayback. He had just fought with Severus at noon that day and was being chased around by the Shadowless Blade. To his shock, he saw the traitor again at Crouch's house that evening.

Barty Jr. met Snape's eyes, and the maniacal smile on his face vanished, replaced by a sinister look in his eyes.

"It's Snape. It's been a long time. I've heard you've made quite a name for yourself in the wizarding world recently."

Severus saw the ill intent on his face, but he simply stepped onto the last step, leaned against the handrail, and raised an eyebrow.

"That certainly can't compare to you, junior. You make a big splash every time you make a move. You're the first criminal in magical history to escape Azkaban, and a villain who wants to kill his own father. If such a reputation gets out, the entire magical world will be talking about your name."

As he spoke, he tilted his head and looked at Graybury, who was staring at him with his wolf eyes.

"How did you end up associating with such trash? He can't even get the Dark Mark, he's just a carrion-eating beast. And you still need to use the Dark Lord's name to get him to do things for you?"

Greyback growled angrily, arching his back and opening his claws as if he could pounce out at any moment and tear Severus to shreds.

Barty waved to the person behind him, calming the agitated Graybury down.

He looked intently at Severus, a stark contrast to how he treated the dregs and trash around him who weren't even core Death Eaters.

Clearly, he regarded Severus, who was standing before him, as an equal.

"I think the Dark Lord might forgive your expedient act of siding with Dumbledore, but he cannot forgive true betrayal."

Barty Jr.'s voice was cold; he clearly had serious doubts about what Severus had said in court, and he hadn't fully believed what Graybuck had reported to him.

He wanted to hear Severus's own words, to know exactly what stance the man before him was on!

When Barty Jr. said those words, Snape, the ghost inside Severus's body, also perked up.

Even he was puzzled and curious about how Severus should deal with his identity among the Death Eaters.

Dumbledore and Ghost Snape always believed that Voldemort was not truly dead and would return sooner or later. Severus was the same; he had long ago foreseen Voldemort's future return.

Now that he's causing such a stir in the wizarding world and making a big splash, saying he's going to repent in front of all the wizards, what will he do when Voldemort really comes back?

Isn't he afraid of facing retaliation in the future?

Facing the gazes of Little Barty and the ghost within his body, Severus merely chuckled and said calmly.

"When did I betray the Dark Lord?"

I'll post two chapters early; the remaining two will be posted around 6 PM.

Chapter 90 You want to recruit new Death Eaters!

The person who reacted most strongly to Severus's statement was naturally Graybuck.

The werewolf practically roared as he spoke.

"You clearly sided with the Aurors! This afternoon you even brought two men to us! You wanted to wipe me and all my men out in one fell swoop!"

"and then?"

Severus simply raised an eyebrow.

His nonchalant reaction left Graybuck speechless for a moment; he was too angry to say anything more.

Barty Jr. still stared coldly at Severus.

"And this is how you behave? Even if Fenrir is despicable, he's still working for the Dark Lord. By attacking him like this, aren't you betraying the Dark Lord?"

"Working for the Dark Lord?"

Severus merely scoffed.

"I think he's doing this for you, isn't he? What right does a scavenger like him have to represent the Dark Lord? He even used the Dark Mark in Eastbourne in a high-profile manner, kidnapping so many wizards' children under the guise of Death Eaters. Is all of this the Dark Lord's doing?"

Barty the Younger simply raised his voice, tilting his head back as if to look down on Severus.

"Stop playing word games, Snape! We've come together to find our missing master! But your actions are clearly sabotaging our plans!"

Severus, however, was not afraid of him at all and retorted sharply.

"On the contrary! Your actions are clearly sabotaging the Dark Lord's return! After that night, he disappeared to find a safe place to recuperate and lie low. What you are doing now is the greatest betrayal of him!"

Hearing him turn around and bite back, Little Barty's eyes turned fierce!

The dark wizards standing around him had shifty eyes; they were misled by the two men's words and didn't really know who was right and who was wrong.

The reason Barty managed to gather these people was that he claimed to have discovered clues about Voldemort's disappearance.

But now, listening to Severus's words, it seems as if he knows Voldemort's situation better and is preparing something!

"You sided with Dumbledore, and publicly confessed your past in front of all the wizards in Britain at the Ministry of Magic. Is this what loyalty is?!"

"Instead of lying low with the Dark Lord now and waiting for him to preserve his strength so that he can return as king, are we going to end up like you, attracting too much attention and wasting all the strength we've accumulated?"

"You're trying to make amends for your betrayal!"

"Hmph! You're trying to start your own faction and create new Death Eaters!"

When Severus slapped such a big label on him, Barty's pupils dilated instantly, and his crowd of followers were also startled and quickly put some distance between them.

Barty was clearly furious at Severus's words!

He suddenly pointed his wand at Severus and roared in a hoarse voice.

"How dare you question my loyalty to my master!"

"You dare to kill your own father, who knows if your loyalty to your master is the same as your fatherly love?"

The happiest person present at this moment—no, it should be called a ghost—was none other than Snape the Ghost.

Ever since he became a ghost, he'd almost become numb to Severus's constant barrage of insults. Now, he finally saw someone else get thoroughly humiliated by Severus's all-out attack.

Finally, someone understands how he feels!

Barty the Younger was now enraged to the point of near madness. The tip of his wand glowed green, and just as Severus raised his wand, preparing to exchange blows with Barty the Younger.

Suddenly a shout rang out from outside the window!

The voice calmed Barty down almost instantly, and he stared intently at Severus.

"You're stalling for time! Let the Aurors surround us!"

The group of dark wizards around him, who had been provoked by Severus's words and were originally prepared to stand by and watch, now reacted. They all nervously raised their wands and aimed them at Severus!
