I was the fourth disaster in Yokohama and was loved by everyone.

Chapter 6: I, the Fourth Calamity, am the Pampered Darling

She rubbed her slightly sore eyes and blindly selected answers without even looking at the chat box.

--"Me too."

—"Braised pork belly".

—"Youth year".

Even a fool would know that she was completely lost in thought.

Dazai's fist hardened, and he almost couldn't maintain his fake smile. He simply suppressed the corners of his mouth, leaned back in his chair, lazily raised his eyelids, and stared sharply into Zhu Yu's eyes, trying not to miss a single change in her expression.

He asked, "Perhaps, Miss Meichuan, have you heard of [supernatural abilities]?"

Chapter 9 has been read and returned randomly

Faced with Dazai Osamu's questioning, you decide—

A, feigning ignorance and scratching his head: "Huh? What's that? My sister's heard of it?"

B. While blowing bubbles, clapping hands and singing "Makka Pakka".

C. Honestly admit it.

Suddenly an NPC appears and asks about "superpowers"... Could it be that he's here to give out quests?

Zhu Yu's eyes lit up, and she decisively chose C, nodding and saying, "I've heard of it."

Then, they gazed intently at the beautiful NPC, waiting for the prompt to trigger the quest.

Huh? What's going on? Is it stuck?

Seeing that the NPC Dazai hadn't moved for a while, Zhu Yu circled around him a few times and then got close to him to carefully observe his reaction.

Dazai silently pushed away the person who was almost face-to-face with him, realizing that things might really be getting out of his control.

I thought I might need to use some tricks to get her to talk, but to my surprise, she just admitted it directly.

Having not anticipated that "Umekawa Kuko" would have such a personality, Dazai quickly adjusted his approach to dealing with her.

He lowered his eyes, his thick eyelashes casting a small shadow that became an unyielding darkness in them. His tone was indifferent, revealing neither joy nor anger, as if he were simply asking casually, "So, what does Kuko-chan think about superpowers?"

He tapped the table lightly with his index finger, with a strange rhythm: "Superpowers, a magical power. Some people use superpowers to establish order and protect others, as if bringing hope; others use superpowers to destroy order, as if born with evil. Superpower users often fall into conflict and struggle because of their respective purposes and positions."

“The world is absurd, and superpowers exacerbate the chaos and disorder. Sometimes it’s quite interesting to watch people struggle in this absurd world, isn’t it?” He stopped moving his fingertips on the table and revealed a smile that could even be described as malicious.

What would you say, Kuzi-chan?

Wow... the filth in those words is practically overflowing!

Zhu Yu has a deadpan expression and doesn't want to engage in philosophical discussions about "game settings" with NPCs in the game. Be careful, or you'll go bald!

She realized that this NPC wasn't there to give out quests at all.

Sorry, but the cold-blooded player is about to lose her patience (-_-).

Zhu Yu replied with a cold expression, "Mhm."

The player used the all-powerful "uh-huh" technique to successfully distract the target and achieve the "interrupt the black mud spitting out" achievement!

Great success!

Ignoring the NPC Dazai's gaze, Zhu Yu quickly slipped into the kitchen, placed the dessert he ordered in front of him, thoughtfully set out the cutlery, and gestured: "Please enjoy your meal."

Hmm? The NPC isn't eating, that's okay, the player will feed him/her themselves.

After a smooth combo, the NPC was rendered speechless (in a physical sense), and the player regained peace and quiet, resulting in a happy ending for everyone.

"Cough cough cough!" The frail Dazai Osamu was unable to resist the player who possessed the strength of a gorilla, and his mouth was stuffed full of sweets.

Oh no... the beautiful NPC is going to choke to death!

The player finally panicked, grabbed a glass of water and poured it down his throat, anxiously patting his back while carefully controlling the pressure to avoid damaging his health.

The little black-haired figure's fluffy black hair looked wilted, and its head was drooping. Due to the physiological reaction of choking, the corners of its eyes were red, and some tears welled up in the corners of its eyes, making it look extremely pitiful.

Zhu Yu's almost extinguished conscience ached for a moment, and the guilt prompted her to rummage through her game inventory to see if there were any suitable items to give to NPCs.

Of course, stingy players wouldn't give away very useful items to NPCs :D.

After quickly browsing through his collection, Zhu Yu's gaze stopped on a prop.

I've decided on you—

[Little Crab Ornament: This is just an ordinary little ornament, perhaps accidentally left in a trash can by a child. It doesn't provide any stat bonuses. Giving it away might randomly increase someone's favorability.]

She found it while picking up trash, and thought it was quite cute, so she just tossed it into her backpack and left it there.

Very well, keeping this flashy but impractical item just takes up backpack space, so now, the player is giving it to you!

The player took out a small crab figurine from his pocket—actually from the system's inventory—and pried open his hand with an air of absolute authority, placing it on the figurine.

"Sorry, this is for you."

The little red crab raised its two large pincers, its three pairs of legs standing firmly in Dazai's palm. Meeting the crab's wise, beady eyes, the gazes of the man and the crab remained frozen in the air for a long time.

Dazai pursed his lips and slowly put the little crab into his coat pocket.

"How cunning of you, Kuko-chan!" he drawled, his tone soft and gentle. "I'll forgive you this time..."

Zhu Yu, who thought she had successfully appeased the person, breathed a sigh of relief. She glanced at the time in the game and realized that in the short time that had passed, it was already time to get off work. She immediately became restless.

We still need to pick up trash!

There were still more than half of the desserts on the table untouched. Zhu Yu manipulated the little figure to go to the front desk and find a takeout box. She quickly packed up the untouched desserts, put in a few ice packs, and eagerly handed the box to Dazai: "Welcome to visit again next time."

Before Dazai could say anything more, Zhu Yu interrupted him, saying, "This is closing time. Welcome to our store tomorrow during business hours." With that, Zhu Yu pointed to the Q-version clock hanging on the wall.

“Okay…” Dazai puffed out his chubby cheeks, looking reluctant, but he just stood there without moving.

Zhu Yu began tidying up the tables and chairs, washing and disinfecting the used tableware, and tallying the day's revenue...

"Kuzi, Kuzi, how long have you been in Yokohama?"

—"A long time." I've been playing this game for a long time, so it's a long time.

"Kuzi, Kuzi, where are you from before?"

—"Here I am." He was born in Yokohama, so of course he's a Yokohama native.

......

Zhu Yu was busy closing the shop, clicking on the screen, and dealing with the constant pop-up dialog boxes.

Just as I was about to press the "Close Store" button after everything was done, another dialog box popped up.

"Miss Kuko, do you have any special abilities?"

[When Dazai Osamu asked, "Miss Kuko, do you have special abilities?" your answer was—]

A. Yes.

B. No.

C. Is this important?

Damn it, how come this NPC is still here?!

Although Zhu Yu really liked this beautiful and sweet-talking NPC, she still felt a little annoyed. It was like her owner was diligently cleaning the room, but there was a black cat constantly meowing and causing trouble!

Cats are cute, but they're really noisy.

Stop calling me "Miss Clothing," I'll call myself "Miss Socks"!

Zhu Yu angrily chose C, finally able to press the "close shop" button, pushed Dazai, who was still muttering something unconvinced, out of the shop, then turned around and ran away, disappearing from Dazai's sight.

The empty street was suddenly left with only his lonely figure carrying the dessert box.

As dusk settles, Yokohama is gradually enveloped by night, and twinkling lights begin to illuminate the already somewhat gloomy city.

He stood at the entrance of the dessert shop, which had already closed, his gaze still fixed on the direction Zhu Yu had left, deep and calm, like a still and deep lake, impossible to see clearly even if you got close.

Once he quieted down, the charming smile disappeared from his face, as if he wanted to blend into the night.

"Lord Dazai, your subordinate has come to take you back." A black car bearing the Port Mafia logo stopped in front of him, and a man in black got out, respectfully opened the door, and bowed to await instructions.

"Hmm." He looked away, got into the car, and countless scenes flowed past the car window, instantly left behind.

The car was heading towards those five towering buildings.

*

The corridor leading to the leader's office was silent, save for Dazai's footsteps echoing in the empty space. His black coat swayed gently with each step, like a shadow fluttering in the night breeze.

A faint smile played on his face, as if everything was under his control, yet he seemed indifferent to everything.

Pushing open the door to the leader's office, Mori Ougai was sitting behind a large desk, holding a cup of black tea. The rising steam gently softened his face, which was imposing yet dignified due to his long-standing exposure to power.

His gaze shifted from the teacup to Dazai Osamu, a knowing smile playing on his lips.

"Dazai-kun, how did the mission go?" Mori Ōgai's voice was gentle and deep, carrying an undeniable air of authority.

Dazai Osamu walked to the desk, put his hands in his pockets, tilted his head slightly, and showed a lazy expression.

"Mr. Mori, the task you've given me is quite tricky..." His tone was light and casual, and although he said it was tricky, it was as if he were talking about a trivial matter.

"Oh?" Mori Ougai raised an eyebrow, signaling him to continue.

“Miss Umekawa Kuko…” Dazai Osamu paused, his eyes narrowing slightly. Mori Ougai knew this was a sign that he was interested. “She appears ordinary on the surface and shows no signs of having any special abilities, but she is definitely not an ordinary person.”

Mori Ougai put down his teacup, crossed his hands on the table, and stared sharply at Dazai Osamu: "You mean, she might be hiding her abilities?"

"Perhaps," Dazai Osamu shrugged, a hint of uncertainty in his voice. "Or perhaps, she doesn't even have any special abilities. But in any case, her very existence is a mystery. And it's impossible to predict what she'll do next..."

As he spoke, several moments he had shared with her flashed through his mind, and he unconsciously fell silent. Though brief, they were profound enough!

Mori Ougai pondered for a moment, then chuckled: "Dazai-kun, it's rare to find someone even you can't see through."

Dazai Osamu's lips curled up slightly, revealing a meaningful smile: "That's precisely what makes it more interesting, isn't it?"

What secrets is she hiding?

Mori Ougai nodded, his gaze becoming profound again: "In that case, let's continue to observe. If our Miss Umekawa is truly hiding something, she'll reveal herself sooner or later."

"Understood." Dazai Osamu nodded slightly and turned to leave.

“Dazai-kun.” Mori Ōgai suddenly called out to him.

Dazai Osamu stopped and turned to look at Mori Ougai.

"Be careful," Mori Ougai's voice was low and serious. "Don't put yourself in danger."

A complex look flashed across Dazai Osamu's eyes, but he quickly regained his nonchalant demeanor: "Don't worry, Mori-san."

"I cherish my life very much until I get the euthanasia drugs you promised me." He turned and left the office, but his words still reached Mori Ougai's ears on the wind. His black figure disappeared at the end of the corridor.

Mori Ōgai gazed in the direction he had left, sighed softly, then picked up his teacup again and looked out at the night.

Yokohama's lights still shone brightly, but in the shadows of this city, countless eerie things were quietly brewing.

*

And what is our main character, Ms. [Meichuan Kuzi], doing?

Of course, I'll diligently be the king of Yokohama's garbage cans!

Zhu Yu was looking down under the streetlights for a glowing "spot" in the trash can that indicated it was worth picking up when a figure approached from nowhere, casting a shadow that covered most of the trash can.

They covered up all the "spots of light"!

She looked up suddenly, recognized the person, and exclaimed softly, "Ah, it's you!"

Chapter 10: Drink More Hot Water if You Are Weak

"What a coincidence, Mr. Lantang."

The person who came was tall and slender, with pale, almost transparent skin, as if she had never seen the sun for many years, giving her a sickly beauty.

He had long, slightly wavy black hair, which was a bit messy from the night sea breeze. When he looked up, he revealed a pair of rare yellow-green eyes with a sense of detachment, as if there was an invisible barrier between him and the world.

What is most striking is the melancholy and elegance he exudes, like a beauty stepping out of an ancient painting, with a unique exotic charm.
